Stunningly good book for its age
Why would anybody want to write a review of an art book printed in 1963, and a paperback at that? First of all, this is a LARGE paperback, printed in landscape format, paper quality is very high and despite its age, my used copy is not discolored. The covers are fragile and the transparent coating is peeling, and the edges of mine are worn, it apparently was read a lot, but with care, as the spine of the book is in like new condition. The print quality is very, very high. Mine came from a used bookstore and I paid 4.50 US for it. Such a deal. In the book are large prints of 64 engravings, with an explanation and short essay accompanying every single print. Very good reading and very good to look at. I would guess that this book is severely undervalued, it was never reprinted. ... Read more
