Of the many biographies written about The Yankee Clipper, this is by far the most intelligent. It goes beyond the rah-rah nature of many common sports books and offers a fascinating analysis of DiMaggio's baseball career and impact on popular culture. For it's one... two... three CDs out at the old ballgame!
According to manufacturer Radio Spirits, Yogi himself selected the vintage shows that comprise this 3-hour, 3-CD collection.

Dubs are from original broadcast transcription discs. A certain amount of surface noise and crackle is inevitable from these 60 to 70-year old records, but it's not so obtrusive as to render listening unpleasant. Recommended for all old time radio and baseball fans.
