Michael Jordan is a biography about the greatest basketball player of all time. Itfollows Michael from the small town of Wilmington, North Carolina. Michael went to Laney highschool. At Laney he played football, basketball, and baseball. In Micheal's Sophmore year he was cut from his basketball team. The book tells how determined he was to accomplish his goals. As many people know he went to North Carolina University and later went on to the pros as a Chicago Bull. Michael is the best player to ever play the game. Basketball Legends :Michael Jordan is an excellent book written by Sean Dolan. No one in the history of basketball has ever owned as many ways to score a hoop as M.J. can. But he wasn't into basketball his whole life. His first passion was baseball while he was growing up in Wilmington, North Carolina. I like this book because on most of the pages it has a picture with some information. Also at the end of the story it has an index and some other interesting facts on Michael. These elements of the book provide convenient summaries. So if you like Michael Jordan and would like to learn more, read this book.

A Great Selection
There are 78 pages and the AR level is 5.9. The book is about Michael being the world's best basketball player and the Bulls winning six NBA championships and he won five regular-season MVP awards. When Michael's dad got murdered he retired from basketball and played his dad's favorite sport, which was baseball. He found out he wasn't good at baseball so he went back to playing basketball for the Bulls.
Michael was very happy seeing his parents at his games. I likeed him because he was a good basketball player and he cared about his parents, his wife, his kids and his team. The rest of the characters also liked Michael. The setting made me like the book because it was at basketball courts and I like going there to see games. The story was interesting and sade because his dad got killed and he retired from something he liked twice. ... Read more

Gage's Review on MJ
Well How much can you say about Michael Jordan that hasn't already been said. He is the greatest player of all time without a doubt. I guess that is why I liked the book.
It was all about Michael and his childhood. He loved the game so much as a kid that he used to use a garbage can to shoot baskets because he did not have a real hoop.
The writer of the book was very positive in his writing and made even the most negative of things very good-sounding. An example of that is how Michael didn't win a championship until he had been in the league for 8 years.
Basically, It made you feel warm and fuzzy inside because everything was so positively charged.

Michael Jordan, by Chip Lovitt was a biography of Michael Jordan.It started when he was in high school and ends after the 97-98 season.It talks about change in careers and how he dealt with people telling him he wasn't good enough.
Jordan first missed his high school basketball team, but he worked day and night to prove he was good enough.When he was a senior, he led Laney High School to the Divison III championship and won.
As a freshman, he made a good impression making a last second shot to win the National Championship. In 1983-84, he was named college player of the year.The same year he was elected the co-captin of the United State's Olympics basketball team and helped them win gold.
He was drafted third overall in the 1984-85 draft.That year he won the rookie of the year award.He was a superstar right away.On April 20, 1986 he scored 63 points in one game.April 16, 1987 he scored 23 straight points.That year he set a single season record for points 3,041.
1988 was a year full of rewards. He was named NBA MVP and Defensive Player of the Year.He also won the slam dunk contest for the second straight year. In 1989 he won th All-Star Game MVP.
In 1991 Jordan was named NBA and Finals MVP and lead them to their first title.In 1993 after winning the Championship the last three years. A tragedy happened in the Jordan family. James Jordan, Michael's father and best friend was shot and killed.Then Michael decided it was time for a career change. He then signed with the Chicago White Sox.After 18 months of playing baseball he missed basketball and came back to the Bulls in midseason, but they couldn't win the championship.So the next two years Jordan worked harder then he ever had before to win the next two titles and then retired.
This book states how valuable Michael Jordan was to the Bulls and NBA.After reading this you know he was the best player ever.I would recommend reading this book if you like basketball or a underdog story. ... Read more
