1-0 out of 5 stars Tedious tally of match results
This was not a good read at all.

If you're used to the rich provision of personal anecdotes, gossips, childhood history and details on the off court side of a player in other tennis biograhpies like *Chrissie*, *Monica from fear to victory*, *Steffi: public image, private pain*, you'll find this book exasperating. In a nutshell, the book is but a long and tedious tally of match results by Arantxa Sanchez from her days as a junior player. There is basically nothing in the book that gives you a better idea as to what kind of a person Arantxa is on and off court, or what she likes to do in her spare time, her favourite food, her relationship with her family, her agent, her fellow players. It's quite unimaginatively written and presented.

I do not recommend this book.

3-0 out of 5 stars Good, informative and interesting
A well written account of the life and career of one of the greatest modern tennis players - Arantxa Sanchez-Vicario.Though not written with direct contact form Sanchez-Vicario, the authors manage to take a great many interviews and quotes from the champion herself and many of those around her and turn it into an informative book. The book deals primarily with Arantxa's tennis career and the many results and highlights of it, along with her personality and her fighting spirit which took the game to new levels.A great book for any fan and a good job from the first time authors. ...
