Maggie Madison has devoted her life to helping others. Practically abandoned as a child, Maggie understands what it is like to feel unwanted. Running a shelter for the street kids of Atlanta is hard work, and the necessities"money for food, repairs"are hard to come by. Maggie figures that the shelter is providing a great service to the whole community by keeping kids off the street and protecting the value of nearby businesses, and she uses this logic to solicit donations from her neighbors.

Some respond with repeated generosity, but Adam `The Ogre' Fuentes has always given her a hard time. Their repeated disagreements have become personal as they find themselves less repelled by each other and more and more attracted to each other. Adam is of the opinion that it is wrong to help those who should be helping themselves, but instinctively turns to Maggie when his niece runs away and he desperately needs help finding her.

While Maggie works hard to both locate Adam's niece and council the non-traditional family, she begins to face some of her own demons, including her long lost father and her inability to consider anything in her life permanent. Very Tender
I was quite taken back by this work.I suppose it is because I love the idea of helping street children and this is part ofwhat the storyline is all about.
Maggie Madison and her friend Delta run a shelter for runaway and troubled children in the heart of Atlanta.
Maggie has devoted her life to this work and is constantly badgering local business people for support money. Most are generous but one Adam "The Orge" Fuentes never seems to want to help without her constant nudging.Needless to say their relationship is nothing more then strained.

The true story begins when Adam's niece runs away and Adam finds he must seek out Maggie for help.His greatest fear has indeed come upon him, but little did he realize that a spark would ignite between them and despite all the past harsh words and misunderstanding, they were destined to not only bring a child home, but bring their own hearts home as well.

Madison's Miracles is astory of love, family commitment and devotion to the well being of children. It is laced with deep seated emotions of past traumas that the characters must face up to in order to find their true happiness. A well crafted read that brings out the plight and cry for help of children, sprinkled with a tender love story of two hurting souls becoming one. Highly recommended.

A great Career Romance!
This was the best book that I ever read! It is hard to put down. I reccomend it to anyone who loves a good romance novel. The lighthearted characters will keep you reading until the end!

I read a copy of this book that belonged to a friend.
This is a sweet, funny, light read. The characters are real people, ordianry people in an unusual situation. The funny thing is, a friend of mine is the daughter of a cop who found her like they do in this book andadopted her.

Louisa Drayton, Duchess of Osbourne, has been widowed for five years. Her brother, Michael, has been missing since the last battle on the Peninsula. Michael's wife, Alice Montgomery, wants to marry her daughter, Beth, to an old man in order to settle her own debts. Louisa takes Beth under her wing and pays Alice's debts to keep Beth from being dragged into a loveless marriage. At the same time, Louisa gives her niece a season in London to hunt for a suitable husband by disguising herself as her elderly Aunt Louisa, the Dowager Duchess of Roth. It is not an easy task to disguise as her elderly aunt although they resemble each other in appearance. There is still a twenty years difference in their age. By putting on some face paint, old-fashioned clothes and a cane, Louisa fools the ton as the elderly Louisa and successfully introduces Beth to the society. But one person, Devon Stanton, doesn't buy it. Devon is the Earl of Streiker and has been attracted to young Louisa from their encounter at Osbourne. When he meets the Dowager Duchess, he is confused and suspicious as he finds himself attracts to the elderly Louisa. With a few more encounters, he soon finds that the elderly Duchess is actually the young Duchess but he keeps the secret to himself until one night Lousia is attacked outside the theatre.

THE DOWAGER DUCHESS is a 10-chapter story. The first eight chapters put readers into a merry chase with Devon and Louisa. The last two chapters introduce the real Dowager Duchess and disclose the reason why the elderly Duchess' life is endangered. Overall, the story is simple and short. I really liked this book!
I really liked this book! There are very few adventure romances out anymore. This was a great adventure from start to finish! The characters were realistic and the dialogue was great! This author also writes as Elyssa Henry for Silhouette. I plan to check out all of her stuff!
