I have two other books in spanish by this author and my four year old loves them.this is a very simple story of animals at the zoo that need to take a bath.The firsttwo pages have some vocabulary words.If you want your kids to learn spanish than this is a good one to start out with because it is short, simple, and funny. ... Really summary level
The information in this book is at such a summary level, it's difficult to really get an understanding of the material.Each chapter is 10 pages or less, and in those ten pages, the subject could be all of the major Native American groups on the North American Continent.It will be difficult to keep these groups separate with very little detail to keep them straight.I have had to supplement with quite a bit of outside reading materials to make the learning substantial enough to really have a student glean any worthwhile information.As a guide for important areas to study, it's great - but I couldn't see using this as your sole Social Studies text.

My daughter's favorite book
We found this book at the library when my daughter was 4 or 5.She wanted to check it out constantly.We moved when she was 6, and the book was not available in our library system.I was SO relieved to find it here on Amazon and ordered it immediately.She was thrilled to get it and still loves to read it at 7.The story is about 3 lab rats/mice who belong to a benevolent scientist but get struck by lightning.As a result of the lightning strike they develop some unusal powers, (x-ray vision, great size, and elasticity).They have a wild adventure when one of the Scientist's inventions, a life like robot mouse - gets loose.It's a fun book with great cartoon like pictures.Naturally, I highly recommend it. ... A moving masterpiece
This small book tells the story of a great hearted artist who postponed his own self-actualization to provide for his wife and their many pups and grand-pups. The selfless love of the protagonist is both touching and a little sad. One feels wistful that in his lifetime his greatest aspiration was delayed, but becomes overjoyed to realize that the faithful dog artist is rewarded in the next life. This is a childrens' story for young, old, and in between, all who dream and juggle life's demands meanwhile. The illustrations are delightful and art historians will get a quiet chuckle or two from the pictorial allusions.
