Very interesting medical thriller.
Well plotted.You will learn perhaps more than you wanted to know about germ warfare.
Only criticism: As usual in Cook's books,

Terrible ending
This was a truly poor ending to a book. It was as if Robin himself was up against a deadline of Friday 1:30pm and had to finish it. Much of the story was left unexplained or at least to the readers wild imagination.
- what was Fasano's role in the crime? It was his henchmen
- why were the children attacked? If it was by Craig then what was the link between Craig and Fasano's henchmen? If it was not by Craig then where is the explanation?
- how, the week later (assuming they went on honeymoon after the wedding) did the ending that Craig and Jack meet in Cuba make sense?
- why did Craig commit the murder? what was the motive that led to murder?
- was it implied he committed other murders?

Sorry Robin, this one deserves a day in court to recover the price of the book.

and why were two government law enforcement officials on honeymoon in Cuba?
and why does the book have stuped mistakes in it like getting the main characters names wrong? Again, no time to proof it before the deadline?

Very disappointing
I've been a fan of Dr. Cook and his books for a long time, starting with Coma.Technically, he is a good writer, but his lapses in Crisis really left me hanging after I finished it.There were too many loose ends that should have been tied up without much difficulty.For example, what was the connection between Franco and Lawyer Tony?Secondly, did Franco die in the car crash?Why was there not even a paragraph about the police investigation of mayhem on the Massachusetts Turnpike after Franco tried to kill our hero?Thirdly, why was there a neighborhood connection between Craig's mistress and Tony (that was not exploited)?Fourth, the trial ended with the evidence, and (even in the Commonwealth) there is no provision for new evidence coming in during summation, so Jack's findings should have been excluded.At the very least, the bailiff should have tackled him when he was saying "Excuse me" during final argument.Lastly, the Cuban "coincidence" was absolutely beyond belief.Dr. Cook, you need to pay more attention to the story line if you expect rational people to continue buying your books. ...
