Thought provoking and intriguing
This novel combines, in a very original way, several story lines, or, should I say, worlds. Some story lines are based in our everyday world, while others flutter into phantasy, yet all finally converge at the end.

The book is mostly well written. At times, I had a hard time taking my eyes off it, yet, some parts are a bit tedious.

All in all, it's a very interesting book, and very different from the previous books by the same author, the ones drawn from her professional experience and published in English. ... Read more

Great introduction to some tricky concepts for kids
Its hard to explain mindfulness and meditation to children, but books like this certainly help.The kids love the story and I think just the exposure they get from reading stories like this and watching mommy and daddy meditate can give them an idea of what its all about.

FANTASTIC
It is a great book. Our 6 year old girl laughed a lot when Ziji tried to sit in the meditation posture (and fell backwards). She also noticed that his hair was all tidy when he meditated and messy when he didn't. Dharma for children should be fun and this book is definetely funny! Highly recomended. ... Read more

Born on a farm near Russellville, Kentucky, Bailey is best known for the fly shop he established in Livingston, Montana in 1938. Dan Bailey's Fly Shop is still in business today operated by his son John at 209 West Park Street. Dan Bailey graduated from the Citadel in 1926 and earned a masters degree in physics from the University of Kentucky. He was a teacher in Missouri when he became interested in fly fishing. His next job brought his to Lehigh University where he was able to pursue trout fishing in the central Pennsylvania chalkstreams. In 1929 while teaching at the Brooklyn Polytechnic Institute he pursued a Ph.D. in Physics from New York University. While Bailey was in New York when he met and befriended Lee Wulff, another notable fly fisherman.
