From the supplier: Balance is an important quality in the fiction of Rohinton Mistry, as suggested by the title of his second novel, 'A Fine Balance.' Mistry was born in India, a member of the Parsi community, and immigrated to Canada in 1975. Mistry's short story collection 'Tales from Firozsha Baag' and his two novels, 'Such a Long Journey' and 'A FIne Balance' focus on the Parsi community in India rather than on the immigrant experience. The Parsis and India become metaphors for the human experience in Mistry's fiction.

Il est triple champion canadien et gagnant de la Finale du Grand Prix ISU 2004. Né d'un père pandjabi et d'une mère italienne, Emanuel grandit à Richmond Hill, en Ontario. Son enfance est troublé par la vie mouvementée de ses parents, lui-même la qualifiant de dysfonctionnelle. Il parle couramment l'anglais, le français et l'italien. En plus du patinage artistique et de la danse, Sandhu fait aussi des contrats de mannequin et tâte aussi la carrière de chanteur. À l'âge de trois ans, il débute son étude du ballet classique pour ensuite prendre ses premières glisses sur la patinoire à l'âge de huit ans.
