Product Description
A call from an old friend sends Mack Bolan to the Congo, armed and ready to extract a young man from cultists calling themselves The Process. Led by a fanatical sociopath who believes his ultimate power lies beyond the divine--but also in the hands of an elite security team of Uzi-wielding enforcers--this self-styled prophet's most recent holy act involved removing all traces of a U.S. congressman's humanitarian visit, including the bodies. Making his way through the jungle with his reluctant charge in tow and hunters on his back, Bolan's instincts kick into high gear, quickly turning the rescue mission into a race to stop the detonation of an atomic weapon before the African cult leader's personal Judgment Day leaves no opportunity for second chances.... ... "The hunt for a killer on a rampage of revenge in upstate New York leads Mack Bolan to a nest of criminals. A vigilante is targeting local meth-lab gangs doing business with white supremacists. But innocents are dying in the wake of one man's killing spree. That places him squarely in Bolan's gun sights.

Trailing his quarry through chaos and death, Bolan exposes a new and far grimmer scenario a conspiracy involving local powerbrokers. The goal is an act of home-grown terror orchestrated by rogue sleeper cells of the Chinese government. There's a fine line between rough justice and cold-blooded murder something the Executioner understands all too well."

5-0 out of 5 stars Ashton rocks
I have read all of the Ashton Ford books and I absolutely love Ashton. He is funny, intelligent, handsome and feels like a friend. If I had a problem, I would hire him to help me.I was sad after I finished the books,I would really love to find out that the series is being continued.

1-0 out of 5 stars Boring
I'm so sorry I bought three of these books without reading the first one through. The main character blathers on endlessly about things that have nothing to do with the plot.In fact, its hard to find the plot when you are buried in useless information.Never again. ... Read more

Stony Man intelligence has picked up chatter about something bigger than any terrorist attack on U.S. soil. Now it's zero hour and the agency has dispatched operatives on two fronts: Panama and the Mexican border, where al Qaeda is using drug pipelines willing to accommodate cash payers to funnel terrorists into the country. It's clear the operation has been in the planning stages for a long time, with moles deep inside the U.S. security net. Now the only questions remaining are when and where the attack will take place. 5-0 out of 5 stars MANITOBA TO PERSIAN GULF TO LAS VEGAS TO SPAIN BACK TO THE PERSIAN GULF WITH MACK BOLAN

The reader really covers some ground, getting around, in this number 356 book of The Executioner series, starring Mack Bolan. Live large!

Hey, in 20 years of reading these Gold Eagle action/adventure books, this is one of the better reading books it's been my pleasure to come across. For me, it truly was one book I could not put down. The author is one Peter Spring and I don't recall reading much by him before, but he put together one of the better Bolans of all time in my opinion.

We're dealing here with several software engineers who sell out to terrorists, trading codes that protect our aircraft carriers in exchange for 21 million dollars. The terrorists fulfill their part of the bargain by killing everyone possible, however, they only end up with only half the code. From here Mack and Hal Brognola, the big Fed, take up the trail to prevent that last half of the code from reaching the terrorists of the Persian Gulf.It is a race with time running out for the good guys.

If you have read any Gold Eagle books before you know they deliver, or maybe you just enjoy action/adventure novels, well, this is a book a lover of action/adventure should not pass up.While it may not necessarily sound that enjoyable, once into it the book will not let you go until the last page, page 187.

Best in reading.

4-0 out of 5 stars Red Frost is Bloody Cool!
Writing under the guise of Don Pendelton here, Alan Philipson delivers what he has been doing for well over 25 years - all out explosive action/adventure.

Except he's gotten better at it with time and age.

This terrific action/adventure novel has it all - submarines, spestnaz, gimmicks and gadgets, colorful and cool characters, and an abundance of adventure mixed with high-octane action that only one of the biggest and best action writers out there today can deliver.

A must read.

4-0 out of 5 stars My first Stony Man, and I enjoyed it
Right off the bat I will admit that I have never read a Stony Man book before, so I have no idea how the characters and storyline compare to any other entry in the series. That being said, I really enjoyed this book quite a bit.

For starters, the bulk of the action takes place in and around the Pacific Northwest where I grew up.The author clearly has intimate knowledge of the areas around Port Angeles on the Olympic Peninsula, and has definitely spent some time on the Washington State Ferry system. The action kicks off with a Russian sub grounding itself in the Strait of Juan de Fuca, and Able Team is called to be on hand. When the main threat is revealed, the fate of millions of innocent lives are at stake.

The action is vividly rendered, and the story propels along at a breakneck pace. The entire story takes place over the course of only a few hours, and the Able Team story is counterpointed by the work of Phoenix Force in coordination with spetsnaz soldiers in the Republic of Georgia. If you have a weak stomach you might want to avoid this book, because the author really knows how to go for the gross-out.Of course, that's one of the reasons I liked it... ... 3-0 out of 5 stars "BOLAN SHATTERS A MADMAN'S DREAM"

The Executioner #131 written by Mel Odum, is the 3rd book with the new 'patriotic', red, white, and blue, covers begun in September, 1989. These weird covers were issued from September 1989 (#128) through December, 1994 (#192). If you have many of these on your Bolan shelves you can readily detect what I mean.Artistically satisfying they were not, as they cropped the art work to maybe a third of what it had been in books 39 through 128. However, ...

This is an interesting read having its roots in the end of World War II at time of Field Marshal Rommel's death brought up to date with our current president and Gorbachev meeting to bring Russia and the U.S. closer together. The plot from WWII is one of world destruction, starting anew, with the assassination of both our president and Gorby as they hold a summit meeting, the madmen hope nuclear war will follow. Our man Bolan is of course hot on the trail to derail the plans of these madmen involved, ably assisted by the durable Leo Turrin and the Mossad.

The plot has some aspects of being cobbled together and the writing is oft times uneven. The story is at best a 3-star Bolan, and I am being generous considering the crazy, senseless killing of innocents in the witness protection plan and especially the incest angle between Ris and Helene. It is not a bad read but in some respects for some of us who consistently follow the adventures of Mack Bolan, not an exceptionally good read either.Read it if you must just be aware that it is not what most seasoned readers will typify as classic Bolan.I wonder if Mel worked all this out by himself or if GOLD EAGLE gave him a template?Either way, someone should have reined some of this in as the book also contained some aspects of plain confusion.

Meet Ashton Ford...Psychic Detective... Private Investigator Ashton Ford has special powers, powers that some call supernatural. A former naval intelligence officer, highly knowledgeable in cryptology and philosophy, Ford will shatter your ideas of reality and take you into a mystical world of vision, intuition, and psychic truth. A phenomenal psychic, unparalleled lover, and a true Renaissance man, Ashton Ford can see into the future and even into the distant past using his psychic powers to assist special clients who are in crisis. In this first book of Don Pendleton's six book series, Ashes to Ashes, Ashton Ford is hired by a beautiful and vulnerable heiress in need of a sexual surrogate. Ignoring danger signals, Ford cannot resist the chance to aid the distressed woman, but soon finds he is faced with more than he bargained for. In his search for justice, he is plunged into a world of untold dangers, including murder and mayhem, ghosts and apparitions, and splintered reality.Don Pendleton wrote this about his Ashton Ford novels: "Through this character I attempt to understand more fully and to give better meaning to my perceptions of what is going on here on Planet Earth, and the greatest mystery of all the mysteries: the why of existence itself. Through Ford I use everything I can reach in the total knowledge of mankind to elaborate this mystery and to arm my characters for the quest. I try to entertain myself with their adventures, hoping that what entertains me may also entertain others-so these books, like life itself, are not all grim purpose and trembling truths. They are fun to write; for some they will be fun to read."
