When they were talking they saw persons coming, and they were themselves exept Watch !!!
But they were using different clothes but the faces and all that they were identical. Sally and Sally 2 didn't get well, they make me laugh a lot of time!! but then they started to talk about Cindy and Adam Sally 2 tell to sally that in her Spooksville Adam and Cindy are boyfriends!!! but when Sally told Adam is Cindy and he are boyfriends Adam say that "no"!!
Watch is worst every time if they didnt search the medicine or the witch he is going to die!

5-0 out of 5 stars Sad and Funny?!
Someone has to put a curse on Watch. Then when the gang went to the coffee shop, Watch had an attack, it was funny. It was great when Adam and Cindy went into another dimension and they saw a mirror. They met Princess Rula, a character. It was not confusing when she talked to Adam 2 and Cindy 2 and Watch 2. Tomel killed Adam so he could save Rula, then Watch Dies and somethings happens at the end.......

5-0 out of 5 stars Can you change destiny?
Rela has a new VCR and it tapes future news. When she sees herself on the news and learns that she will die, she is scared. Can she change what is meant to be?

5-0 out of 5 stars Good and Sad
I thought that this was a REALLY good book. Rela's nobility and dedication literally made me tear up. The technical stuff got a tiny bit confusing, and was very unexpected, but I still liked it. However, I AM Catholic, so what Christopher was saying about people having no souls and the beginning of the world was ignored by me. I'm not kidding, I was bawling for Rela,

4-0 out of 5 stars OK, but very weird twist!
The twist of the story threw me off because you would never be able to guess it.They didn't even give a whole lot of clues either.I liked it and thought that it was okay.It just wans't very scary.Half the book is explaining a lot of science fiction about the future. If you want a good Pike read, then go get Chain Letter (by far his best book).

2-0 out of 5 stars ehhhh...
Okay, Mr. Pike is a great author and has a pure talent at writing and deserves king of YA horror. This book was really good but when the 'twist' came, ehhhhh... can anyone say STUPID!

5-0 out of 5 stars Fantastic
This was one of the first CP books that I bought. Not read because I had read a few before this, but one of the first that I saw at the store when it first came out and had to buy. I thought the plot sounded incredibly intriguing.. I had figured out by then that the back covers of his novels just told the extremely watered down, skimpy version of the plot. Or plot points if you will.. So I couldn't wait to find out what was in store for me in this book.

It did not disappoint. Rela was incredibly real and easily related to. I could not wait to see what caused her to see into the future through her vcr and what she saw on the tape.. I admit at first that when it got into the robot part of the plot I was a tad iffy because I am not really big on sci-fi. But I swear you don't have to be to enjoy this book. He explains the plot in such a way that you understand it right away and you want to find out more..

I remember that the end shocked me. It still saddens me to think of it.

SPOILER

Rela was indeed brave to do what she did in the end. She gave up everything to make sure that the human race would survive and that the world would be a better place. She gave up her right to love.. I can not remember her boyfriend's name in the book. Was it Michael.. or maybe Chris even? It has been a couple years since I re-read this.. but I suprisingly remember most of this book accurately because it was that powerful and stayed with me. Anyway, Michael was the love of her life.Throughout the beginning of the book Rela talks about how all she wants in life is to be loved by him. She's not sure if he likes her as much as she likes him. Later it is revealed that he indeed does. But then it gets somewhat complicated, even more so than already... I won't go into that even for the ppl that already know..

One thing that always stays with me is when Michael watches the tape Rela left for him and he finishes it and turns the movie off and says "I'll never be like that. That will never be me." And that is how the book ends. That line has always stayed with me.. much like the plot of this novel. ... Read more

2-0 out of 5 stars Wow! this was really bad
Did I really have such horrible taste in books back in my teen years? I've attempted to reread three Christopher Pike books and finished only two. One of them was pretty darn good, the other was so awful that I couldn't finish it, and then there is this one. Gimme a Kiss falls somewhere in between the other two. I was able to finish reading it, but just barely.

It is never a good sign when you start getting characters mixed up and that is what happened to me. Which one is Jane again? Oh she is the protagonist...right! Jane has a fake diary where she makes up steamy stories about her boyfriend (uh crap forgot his name now too). Anyone who writes this kind of diary and leaves is sitting around is asking my trouble in my opinion. The reason that she left her diary sitting open on her desk did not win cool points with me. Jane spots a cat outside trying to eat her pet bunny so she runs outside and throws a rock at the poor kittehs head! GRRRRR!!! At this point in the story I was ready to jump into the book and beat Jane to a bloody pulp. You never ever mess with the cat people...ok?

So where was I? Oh yes, Jane attacks a poor innocent kitteh and her friends Sharon and forgothername come over and read her diary. The next day the entire school is walking around with a page of poor Jane's diary. Jane is so embarrassed that naturally she feels she only has one option, to fake her death and blame on the people who caused this humiliation to occur. Jane tells her awesome friend Sharon about her plans. Ok so I'm only saying that her friend is awesome because her name is Sharon but , come on people everyone knows Sharon's are great! Jane is going on a boat trip with some friends and before they leave she hid some scuba equipment underneath the boat. Once they are a mile or so out, Jane picks a fight with some idiots and falls overboard. After faking her death Jane hides out in a cabin in the woods. Her plans to hide out and reveal that she is in fact alive in a few days are thwarted when someone comes to the cabin and tries to kill her! I should also mention that Jane discovers while watching the news that her boyfriend died during her rescue attempt. He was such a jerk and a boring character that I almost forgot to mention this part of the story.

Jane makes it out of the cabin alive after leaving poor Sharon to die. It is at this point in the story that Jane figures out who tried killed her boyfriend and attempted to end her life as well. It turns out it was forgothername all along! OH the scandal! Jane's friend used to date her boyfriend and he gave her herpes. *gasp! This explains everything now! STDS make teens kill! Sex before marriage is bad! Mmmmmk?

5-0 out of 5 stars A Great Book
I found this book full of surprises. Now I know that some secrets are worth dying for.

4-0 out of 5 stars An Early Pike Mystery
Seventeen year old Jane Retton is so humiliated when a page of her diary is photocopied and distributed around the school by her worst enemy, Patty Brane, that Jane decides to get even. Her plan is to humiliate Patty, by making it appear that Patty has killed her. However, after faking her death, Jane finds that someone is trying to kill her for real.

This is one of Christopher Pike's earliest novels, back when he was primarily writing mystery novels, without the supernatural and science-fiction elements that become the norm in his later books. I actually prefer Pike's "real world" novels, and this is one of my favourites (this is also the book that turned me into a huge Pike fan). What makes Christopher Pike's mystery novels appeal to me is the elaborate schemes his characters come up with in order to commit murder or exact revenge. These schemes are brilliant and better than some of the schemes I have seen in adult mystery novels. This is why, as an adult myself, I still keep coming back to his books, even though they are clearly targeted at teenagers.

The drawback with this book is its ending (which is why I only gave it four stars). The first time I read it, I thought that the killer's motive was just plain stupid. On my second reading, it didn't seem so bad, but I can imagine other readers feeling the same way that I did the first time. Up until then, though, it is a great book and one that you will more than likely finish in one sitting, not because of its length, but because you won't be able to put it down.

2-0 out of 5 stars Blech
Terrible teribble book.It was dull, simple, confusing.Alice had the worst motives eather."Only bad boys give you herpeis".Come on that is lame.Never read this book.It is that terrible.Never read it.

5-0 out of 5 stars Gimme A Kiss
This book was wonderful, and full of surprises! I never would have imagined what really happened in the end. It keeps your attention the whole time and you really want to continue reading it till the end. The book is full of suspense and has a lot of twist to it. It would be well worth your time to read this book, you will find yourself trying to figure out what is going to happen even when your not reading. You can really jump right into this book easily. ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Kids love these hard to find books
The 4th graders in my classroom love the Spooksville series by Christopher Pike. They are all written at a 4th grade reading level. The series is more mature and more realistic than the Goosesbumps they all read in 3rd grade the kids tell me. There are waiting lists for certain Spooksville books and the Creepy Creature is always checked out. This book was a replacement for a lost copy due to many requests that I find a new one by the kids.

5-0 out of 5 stars Scary!
While hiking in the woods, Bryce and Cindy found the Creepy Creature. They thought it was harmless but it ate Bryce. Cindy has to find Adam, Sally and Watch. But they saw Bryce. At first, he was normal and it said it does not remember any attack. But now, the fake Bryce is an alien. When The Creepy Creature appeared again This time it ate WATCH!. Who will be next?.

5-0 out of 5 stars The best spooksville.
I regard this novel as the best Spooksville i have read. I greatly recommend it. I was touched by Adam's love for Olos and Cindy and Bryce's relationship and the gang's bravery and sympathy for all the races like the Piths. Although it seems a bit of nonsense when you read the back of the book, it is indeed greatly complicated and interesting and nothing is as it seems. I nearly wept in the end.

5-0 out of 5 stars It is a good book and it has a lot of action

I Love this book!. When Adam Freeman, Watch, Cindy Makey, Sally wilcox and Bryce Poole entered the Evil House, Sally's costume was a vampire and Bryce's is also a vampire costume. Pretty soon, Sally and Bryce are thiirsty and they want to drink blood. Watch's costume was Sherlock Holmes. Pretty soon, Watch was becoming like the great Sherlock Holmes detective. Cindy's costume is a princess, minutes later, her wand is like a magic. Adam's costume was a ghost. Pretty soon, he feels like a ghost. When they met Marvin, Marvin liked Cindy because it had magic. When Marvin told Cindy that he cheated death, Cindy said "So that was your ghost, the one we heard those awful cries". You better buy this book if you want to find out more.

5-0 out of 5 stars Another Great Read
In this particular book, the kids find a wishing stone and for every wish they make there is an unforseen price tag attached. The entire series is great and the characters are delightful.

4-0 out of 5 stars Christopher Pike-The Wishing Stone
This book is a very good book for young readers. It is about 4 kids that find a stone while walking in a wood one day and whenever they ask for someting with the stone in their hand, it immediately appears in front of them. But there is a catch, they must pay off their wishes by slaving away on a planet far away. The two girls are taken away but the boys manage to survive and go on a long and tiring misson to go and save the girls from the slave planet.

I would rate this book four stars as it is a good read and keeps the suspense up.

5-0 out of 5 stars Most Humorous of Series
When Christopher Pike first began the Spooksville series I was disappointed that he would write something so much like the Goosebumps series. However, Spooksville has turned out to be some of Pike's mostlight hearted and witty writing. The Wishing Stone is my favorite book inthe series.I love how the "resourceful" pre-teens always manageto get themselves into and out of trouble.Sally's scenes with thealligator alien always send me into a fit of giggles.Read this book!Myonly hope is that Pike will continue with this series!

When Adam and his friends go inside Ann Tewmpleton's castle, they are trapped in a maze. Then, they see two huge, powerful creatures. Are these creatures bad?. Maybe these creatures can kill one of Adam's friend. Forgot to tell you something, When they entered one room, they found 4 necklace. Sally wore the Immortality necklase, Cindy wore the beautiful necklace, Adam wore the oldest necklace. I cannot remember what Watch wore.

5-0 out of 5 stars A Great Series
I love all twenty-four novels in Christopher Pike's Spooksville Series. This particular novel is pretty cool.In this we learn more about Ann Templeton (the witch) and get a better idea of what she is like. Though the stories are for a younger audience than his other young adult books, they still have the same great voice and the humor is deliciously Pike.

4-0 out of 5 stars A cool adventure.
A nice adventure story filled with suspense. At this rate, Pike is the best children's book seller. I agree with [whoever] said the witch's background should be revealed to us, but anyway i adore the witch more than anyone else and she is one of the reasons i buy Spooksville-to know more about her. I took away a star coz i didnt feel the book was very scary.

5-0 out of 5 stars Trust
This book teaches you that sometimes it is good to trust and have faith. Even though you and me know you won't go to a witches castle and you have to trust her but let's just say. Pike did reveal something about the witches past(that she had a daughter.) It was funny in a lot of ways but Ithink the funniest things were involving that troll and how he wanted to bein the navy(was it Belfart?).It was okay but buying it? Not really worththat much.

4-0 out of 5 stars It was exciting and kept you paying attention
I think this book was very good, it made you wonder what would happen toCindy,Adam,Watch, and Sally. ... Read more

Product Description
He just had a thing about fire.

Mark Charm is a pyromaniac. Since the time he was a child, he loved to watch fires. But it is only in his senior year of high school that he takes his personal obsession citywide. It is a dry autumn in Southern California and the desert winds are blowing. Mark has a box of matches, and it is late at night. Would it be so bad, he thinks, if the whole state burned? ... 2-0 out of 5 stars Very Confusing
I don't know if its just me, but i didn't understand much of this book. I don't see how aliens, fire, MAZE, and advanced space stations connect. The story starts out with a teen who enjoys burning things to vent his feelings, but then it turns into aliens taking over the planet and space stations and killing all the people on the planet (?). I'm 13, and I didn't see any connection. The plot was confusing, and many aspects were left unexplained. What was with the MAZE at the end and that Mexican clinic and Mark's sister? What's with killing all of the people on the planet? The whole brains floating in tanks? It just wasn't a very clear book compared to Christopher Pike's other novels.

5-0 out of 5 stars Magic Fire
Magic Fire is one of my favorite Christopher Pike books. It isgreat young adult novel, just like all the rest of Christopher Pikes novel. This is a great chiller for everyone who loves Christopher Pike.

4-0 out of 5 stars A lot of twists in this story, interesting idea
The main problem with this story was that it didn't seem to know what it wanted to be about. But if you like surprises and twists and turns, this is the book for you. Think of it as Wild Things in print. At first I thought it would be more like one of Christopher Pike's other novels, The Wicked Heart. On the back, they play up the whole idea of Mark being a pyromaniac, but that is only a small portion of what this book is about. .
This does not stop this book from being entertaining though, although it dragged in parts. The ending is totally unexpected, you are barely given a clue, but that does not stop it from being a good ending, and it does make sense. This book, like the grave has strong science fiction overtones. The characters are maybe not as interesting as Shari, Julia or Roxanne and Pepper, but they are still far above most young adult characters. I would give it maybe three and a half stars, but I can't bring myself to give it just three.

3-0 out of 5 stars A great read -- but pay attention
Pike often mixes the themes of sci-fi and horror. 'Magic Fire' is not what you would expect by reading the back cover. The story progresses rapdily a few chapters into the book and takes on a very strong sci-fi twist. It does, at times, feel like the caracter development has suffered because of this. But at the same time, the elements of horror and suspense that Pike is famous for are still there and as effective as ever. 'Magic Fire' isn't one of his best books, but still a great read nonetheless. The ending will really get you thinking!

5-0 out of 5 stars Great Book
All my friends read Christopher Pike and I'm like what is so good about all his books? Well, did I just answer my own question. I picked up this book yesterday and I'm already done. it was great! It got a little confusing at times but if you stayed with it, it all turned out in the end. I would reccommend this to anyone. I hope the more I read his books, the more I enjoy. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Nice book
Ann Templeton is leaving Spooksville but ann grants Adam and his friends a wish. The wish was cool but lately, it's tearing them apart!. Now they really are sure that Ann is a witch because now they have to defeat some alien morphers.

4-0 out of 5 stars Good, but a disappointing ending
Don't get me wrong. I liked this book. However, if this is supposed to be the last Spooksville book, it could've ended better. That's not to say it ended badly, in fact, it sort of ended the same way most of the Spooksville books ended. All I'm saying is that if they were going to end a great book series like this, they should've done it better.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great!
This was a great book! The gang all chose for great things and I liked all the twists! Adam's wish really helped them a lot and whithout Bryce's wish they would have never even gotten anywhere to use Adam's wish. This book isdefinetly worth buying! The writer has made a great change in spooksvilleby letting the witch depart but books have to have cahnges I suppose.

5-0 out of 5 stars Really good if not the best Spooksville yet
The witch is leaving Spooksville, but gives the gang each a wish. It's cool at first but the wishes start tearing them apart. Can they stick together and destory the alien morphers, read to find out! I seriously recommend this book! ... Read more

A depressing ending but is nevertheless exciting and adventurous. I shuddered and nearly wept in the ending. Why? Read it and you'll know.
