5-0 out of 5 stars Chesapeak Blue---Series contains 4 books

An excellent series. I couldn't put the books down. What an interesting family.
Purchased all 4 books from Amazon.

1-0 out of 5 stars Fan service, and poorly done at that
The last of the Chesapeake Bay saga, telling the story of grown-up Seth Quinn come back to his childhood hometown after years as a successful artist traveling through Europe. But his past, and his dark beginnings, continue to haunt him and once more rear its ugly head in his idyllic recreated life.

To be honest, the Quinns were never my favorite band of brothers, but this book seemed like a weak and dishonest piece of fan service tacked on to a half-shod trilogy based on a hackneyed premise. Seth's character, and that of heroine Dru Whitcomb Banks, seemed like a cardboard cutout, resting on the laurels of earlier books' descriptions and hardly standing on its own merit. Seth's reactions and interactions with Dru and his brothers pale in contrast with earlier books, and everything in this book seemed contrived, staged for the readers' benefit. Set-ups were predictable, boring, and overused; scenes and actions didn't jump off the page with Roberts' usual skill and finesse.

There was very little of the flow and continuity one expects from Roberts. Scenes jumped around from character to character, across time and space, with little to no reason. The Quinns make for a large cast, but the POV shifts were distracting and too clumsily handed to add any to the reading experience. For me, there were too many long periods of introspection and hardly any 'action', in terms of characters actually doing anything worth reading about.

Perhaps what bothered me most about this book was the very premise it was based upon. In the original trilogy, the Quinn brothers were dead-set from the beginning against paying Gloria DeLauter any more money. Seth's actions not only prove him to be a coward, but go against everything his brothers fought to represent, the morals they stood for, and their decision to honor their deceased father. Definitely not worth the time it took to read this drivel.

5-0 out of 5 stars Finished the series!
I was able to find the remaining book in this series on line with Amazon, order at a bargain price and enjoy it upon timely arrival. I was very pleased with the condition of the book and would recommend this company.

This was a wonderful book.I hated for it to end. I felt like I was really in the story..

2-0 out of 5 stars Dont' Bother
Let me first say that I loved this series by Nora Roberts. It was one of my favorite series to read! That being said this fourth book in the series isn't worth your time. This book was nothing like the first three books.I was so excited to read this one because it is about Seth and you get to see how things turn out for him.I was very disappointed.I didn't like the women he falls for...and didn't think they had much chemistry at all.I actually quit reading this book in the middle of it because I was so bored and started another book.I came back to it a few months later and finished it out of obligation to finish the series and know how it ends.It was painful though and I wouldn't reccomend this book to anyone. ... I so love this book, and am looking forward to getting the next one in the trilogy. Nora Roberts really is a most wonderful writter, there isnt any of her Irish books I dont like. Nora Roberts books are wonderful reads that you dont want to put down as well as they make you feel like you actually know the characters

4-0 out of 5 stars Fiesty
I liked the book.I loved the whole series.Ripley was fiesty and funny.Mac was cute.Showing his intelligence but also clumsy.Very cute.Ripley dealing with who she and what she is.Really good book.

4-0 out of 5 stars Definitely more earth than heaven
Book 2 in the Three Sisters Island Trilogy had me reading with bated breath as I wondered whether I would actually like Ripley Todd. Abrasive, harsh, rude and somewhat full of herself, I couldn't quite figure out a) how she had a brother like Zach and b) how she had friends like Nell & Mia. But after persevering and getting through the story, I realised that like most of us, Ripley had two faces. One that she showed to the world to let them know that she's a tough, no-nonsense cop and another where we see the woman behind the facade.
Her story might not be as dramatic as Nell's and she certainly doesn't have you rooting for her from the start, but eventually you get to the point where you can bear her. Then you begin to like her and wonder how long it will take before she lets Mac in. In the end, you wonder why it took her so long!
Another rainy day, snuggled in the couch good read.

5-0 out of 5 stars Excellent!
best series ive read in a long time, loved it and cant wait to start the next one!

3-0 out of 5 stars Oh no she DINT
I must confess a) that I've not finished the book as of this writing, b) that my enjoyment of Nora Roberts is of the most conflicted (the odds on my reading this novel right now if I didn't have grading to avoid would be much more slim), and c) that I'm not sure fiction about witches who do actual glow-in-the-dark magic does actual witches (you know, Wiccans, neopagans, and so on) any good. And I guess that's fine:unless Roberts is a witch herself, she has no obligation, personal or political, to actual witches.

But.But a third of the way through, it's dawned on me that Roberts must have a slightly different sense of humor than I've always thought; maybe she DOES know that the only perfect relationship is of the digital variety.Because I have indeed LOL'd, as opposed to the usual occasional chortle, when it dawned on me that she had, yes, by golly, she had, named her hero MAC BOOKE.

Bwaaa! You go, Nora Roberts. And if you don't name your next one Ai Podd, I'm going to be VERY disappointed. ... Read more

Ethan Quinn must rise above his dark and painful past to find his one chance at happiness.Amazon.com Review
Set on the windswept shores of the Chesapeake Bay, Nora Roberts's RisingTides, the second book in the Quinn Brothers trilogy, continues the story of the lives and loves of adopted brothers Ethan, Cameron, and Philip Quinn. Eager tohonor their father's dying wish that their other brother, Seth, be caredfor, the three settle into life with a 10-year-old. Of all the brothers,it is Ethan who finds himself drawn to the young boy, because both sufferedhorrific abuse before being adopted by the Quinns. Time hasn't extinguished Ethan's pain, only buried it deep within his heart, a fact that may keep him from the only woman he has ever loved. A moving contemporary with universal appeal, Rising Tides is Nora Roberts at her best. ... Read more

3-0 out of 5 stars Someone needs a reality check
Book Two, second brother in the Quinn saga. Ethan's quiet-and-broody character didn't call to me, and it was his hang up about not wanting to marry the heroine, Grace, that really threw me. If he wants to believe he was somehow 'poisoned' by his mother's influence on him, then that's fine, really. But for him to engage in a relationship with Grace, a single mother, knowing that he couldn't give her fulfillment and a family? That's selfish and cruel behavior. Ethan just never rang true to me, even in the other books of the series.

Grace was an interesting heroine, not my favorite, but I don't have much bad to say about her. Well, other than the fight with her father. That didn't ring true, either.

Again, it was Seth who really held my interest. At this point, the developments and the 'mystery' of how Seth was related to Raymond Quinn weren't so mysterious to me, but I was willing to read out the series. But Seth's relationship with each of the Quinn brothers was really the only motivating factor for me to finish out the series. The way the brothers come together for Seth is touching, and is true Nora Roberts. I only wish the rest of the book lived up to her reputation.

5-0 out of 5 stars Better than the first!
I loved the first book in this series, but I loved the second one even more! This is an awesome book.I really fell in love with Ethan and Grace. This one ended up being my favorite out of the series.

3-0 out of 5 stars Not good as a stand alone story, but good as part of the series. The characters are quiet, hard-working, and pleasant.
THE SERIES:
The Chesapeake Bay series includes four books which tell a continuing story about a family.Ray and Stella Quinn adopt three troubled boys who came from abusive homes. In the first three books the boys are about 30 years old. They left home, have good jobs and are single.Stella died several years earlier. In the beginning of the first book Ray took in another boy, 10-year-old Seth, who was abused by his mother Gloria.Gloria offered to give legal guardianship to Ray in return for a large sum of money. Before anything was official, Ray died in a car accident.Shortly before he died, he asked his three sons to move back home to take care of Seth. All three men promised they would. They decide to start a boat building business. In the first three books each of the three men meets and falls in love with a woman. The fourth book tells the story of Seth, who is grown, returns home and falls in love. The best parts of the first three books are watching the developing relationships among Seth and the three men and seeing Seth blossom. Each book has a minor amount of fantasy due to some conversations with a ghost. The four books, main characters, and my ratings are:
Sea Swept (Cameron and Anna) 4 stars
Rising Tides (Ethan and Grace) 3 stars
Inner Harbor (Phillip and Sybill) 3 stars
Chesapeake Blue (Seth and Dru) 2.5 stars

STORY BRIEF (Rising Tides, Book 2):
As a child, Ethan was abused by his prostitute-drug-addict mother and sold to men.Ethan has decided never to marry or have children because he believes his blood is tainted with his mother's genes. He has secretly loved Grace for years but never acted on it.Ethan is quiet, introverted, and works as a waterman (fishing for crabs).Grace is eight years younger. She has secretly loved Ethan since she was a teenager, but she gave up on him since he never showed any interest. She got pregnant and married at age 22.Her husband left before the baby was born.Grace has been raising her daughter alone and working two jobs: cocktail waitress and cleaning houses. The relationship will happen only if Grace makes the first moves, because Ethan will never act on his feelings.

REVIEWER'S OPINION:
Book 2 is good but not great. There wasn't much happening, not much plot. The best part was seeing the further development of 10-year-old Seth through his relationships with the three adult Quinn brothers.Read book 1 first. If you like that, then read this.

4-0 out of 5 stars Rising Tides
Ethan Quinn loves the ocean and still lives in the Bay. He works hard running his commercial fishing boat as well as working at the family business building boats. Ethan is strong and reserved trying to direct his brothers in the direction of a business that will thrive and support them all.

Grace Monroe has loved Ethan for as long as she can remember. She has tried to get close to him, but has never been able to as he always puts up roadblocks. Grace works multiple jobs, is raising her daughter Aubrey, but can't break Ethan.

When Ethan and Grace come together, it isn't an explosive impact, but more of a slow burn. They have both loved each other for years, but Ethan has issues in his past that prevent him from being able to love Grace. As they deal with the past, Ethan provides a stabilizing influence to the family he loves.

Great second book in the series. Ethan has a emotional and heartbreaking story. This fragile family moves to be closer to each other, but still have a lot to learn about family and the daily routine.

4-0 out of 5 stars Similar to Harlan Coben's WhoDunIts
At four years old Olivia MacBride sees something no child or adult should. Her father standing with scissors in his hands above her bleeding mother. While she races to her hiding place she begins a life of questioning herself, disbelieving her worth and her grandparents, who take her in, keep her sheltered enough that she doesn't need to explain why she's sad.

In her journey through her teenage years into adult life, Livvy figures out how true to life nature is in the idea that death needs to happen for new life to begin. In this sense she gives up what she, at four, thought was her destiny to create a whole new world with people she thought she could trust and those she knew she couldn't.

Noah is another constant in her life even though she keeps shoving him away. As long as he has the image of her at four years old, hands over her ears calling for her then deceased mother in his head, Noah continues to force his existence in her life.

Product Description
The O'Hurley family saga concludes with a combination of passion, danger and heartfelt emotion that only #1 New York Times & USA TODAY bestselling author Nora Roberts can provide.

Skin Deep

Regrets. Even movie stars have them. Chantel O'Hurley's family was far away, her mansion was empty, and when she was threatened, there was no one to turn to. There was certainly no comfort in Quinn Doran. He looked like he'd been carved out of stone and he was just as intractable. But in that hardness was a promise: "I will keep you safe. I will bring you home." But could she get him to stay?

Without a Trace

Redemption. With everything he'd seen and done, Trace O'Hurley was way past that. And nothing the flame-haired Irish beauty Gillian Fitzpatrick said could change the fact that he was just a disillusioned man with nothing left to lose. But somehow Gillian made him believe that he could do the impossible—rescue her family, take down a terrorist organization. Ask for forgiveness. Be one of the O'Hurleys again. At last. ... Read more

Product Description
A proud family's deadly secrets are exposed in this passionate tale of two rivals who, while toiling in the Napa Valley vineyards, discover they have much to learn-from each other, and about themselves.Amazon.com Review
Set in beautiful Napa Valley, California, Nora Roberts's latest novel portrays a rich world of family-owned wineries, complete with enough romance, sophisticated business intrigue, betrayal, and murder to cow the Medicis of Florence. The Villa focuses on the merger of two prominent winemaking families, the Giambellis and MacMillans, and the incendiary combination of the two upcoming leaders of those dynasties, Sophia Giambelli and Tyler MacMillan. Tyler is the manager of the MacMillan vines and the distilling process, a job that suits his frank and no-frills personality. Creative and flashy, Sophia is head of Giambelli's public relations, and her job has been to put the best spin on whatever her family business produces--hard to do when the merger requires that she and Tyler switch jobs, and particularly hard to do when her own heart seems to spin out of control whenever they're together.

Soon after the merger goes through, Tyler and Sophia learn that they have bigger problems than their conflicting work styles. Tony Avano, a Giambelli executive and Sophia's father, is murdered, and threats surface against the Giambelli women. As a quiet woman, Sophia's mother, Pilar, has made few enemies, except for Tony's new wife, Rene. The matriarch of the family--known simply as La Signora--may have knocked some rivals aside as she clawed her way to the top, but few would have reason to threaten her now. When poison is discovered in Giambelli wine, Sophia and Tyler learn the killer is much closer than they thought.

In description, dialogue, and plot, Roberts's talent and control are as fine as ever. But while the relationship between Pilar and David, the new COO, feels complex and mature, Sophia and Tyler's romance can at times feel slightly forced. As Roberts explains repeatedly, Sophia approaches sex "as a man does," which apparently means with no strings attached. And while that does tend to take the "romance" out of the romance to some extent, the positive aspects to be found in The Villa outweigh this flaw, ensuring another hit for the talented and prolific Roberts. --Nancy R.E. 3-0 out of 5 stars Not a bad read, but not a great book
Nora Roberts seems to be losing her edge, or at least getting tired. To qualify my following comments, I'm a big fan of hers, and I am a great admirer of her prolific production. However, the last three or four books of Roberts that I've read have fallen flat. The Villa was no exception.

Set in wine country, California and centering around the Giambellis, head of the newly merged Giambell-MacMillan wineries, The Villa is an epic tale of a sprawling empire, with all manner of nefarious business dealings and personal intrigue. Which was pleasant enough to read about, though at time the details about wine-making seemed thrown in for the reader's elucidation, rather than a provision of character background or setting. Do I really care why they head cut wood bearing grape vines? No, I don't, thanks.

My biggest grief was at the beginning, the second biggest at the end. I felt Roberts crammed too many extra players into this book, in such a fashion that I couldn't recall who was who. When Paulie is mentioned at a corporate meeting in some scene somewhere, I couldn't for the life of me recall who that was (one of Tyler MacMillian's employees). Yes, this is a sprawling empire, and yes, family is an important, if overstated, theme of the book. But draw us a damn family tree if you're going to populate it with so many extraneous people.

The ending left me confused and unhappy. Sophia goes from intelligent, motivated, determined, and "in fast-forward" to criminal in one misguided attempt at protecting family. And what is she doing in her bedroom when she's supposed to be at the burning winery? And what about Jeremy DeMorney's broken hand. He can't touch a woman's butt and hold a flashlight and open doors with one hand, and he certainly wouldn't be doing any of those with the broken one.

A better read than Black Hills or the Chesapeake Bay series, in my opinion, but not up to par with some of her other family-centric books (I like Blue Smoke, if you're going for the big Italian family thing, Montana Sky if you like farmers). Not quite worth a 4, but not yet dipping any lower on the scale.

5-0 out of 5 stars Fantastic romantic thriller!
Nora Roberts scores another hit with "The Villa". Love, crime, mystery, suspense, murder - who else but Roberts can combine all of these with the perfect balance of each? She presented strong, three-dimensional characters with powerful personalities. Even though she juggled a plethora of characters and scenarios, she managed to make each one memorable in his or her own way. The storyline was solid and thrilling. My only minor complaint about this book was the lack of romantic development between Sophia and Tyler - I was hoping to see more of that relationship develop.

Roberts creates stunning scenery and educates the reader about wine making and the wine industry, which I found fascinating. She manages to inform without boring the reader and kept the storyline from straying too far from its main intention. I was very pleased and delighted with the entire book.

The Last Saint

"The Villa" is one of my favorite Nora Roberts novel. The first time I've read it I got it from the library. It was time I bought my own copy. I got a good deal on it. If you are a Nora Roberts fan, this is one that you have to read.

Sibling trilogies are fast becoming Nora Roberts'sforte. Sea Swept tells the tale of three brothers--all formerjuvenile delinquents adopted by Raymond Quinn and his wife,Stella. On his deathbed he asks his sons to lookafter their most recent brother, 10-year-old Seth, who--if the rumorsare to believed--just may be Ray's biological son. Of course, the brothers don't know anything about caring for the young boy, and ifsocial worker Anna Spinelli has anything to say about it, theywon't. However, the sparks that fly over the fate of Seth are nothingcompared to the romantic sparks that fly between Anna and Cameron.Nora Roberts once again proves why she is the premiere author of 1990scontemporary romance. 5-0 out of 5 stars Great characters, great book
I really love the way Nora Roberts writes male characters and in Sea Swept, she's written most of the book from a man's point of view. That was a nice switch from the majority of romance novels written from the woman's point of view.

The brothers were clearly different people, each with their own appeal and people I wanted to get to know, people with whom I didn't mind spending a few hours.I loved Cameron's all-too-real reactions to drastically changing his life, to children's clothes shopping, to a school disciplinary problem. One minute he hasn't a care in the world and the next minute he's a big brother/father to a little boy. While we got some insight into both Cam and Seth, we didn't get the pages and pages of inner torture that some authors would have added, attempting to provide depth while in reality adding tedium.

This is just a fun read about some likeable characters and it doesn't fade over time.I've read the book a number of times and I still love the relationship between Cam and Seth.

3-0 out of 5 stars Recycled Characters, So-So Story
I may be biased, because I just finished reading Nora Roberts' MacKade brother series, but the Quinn brothers seemed to me nothing more than a reduction of the four MacKade brothers to three Quinn brothers. Of the three Quinns, Cam, featured in Sea Swept, was my favorite. I enjoyed the relationship of Seth to the men, and the brothers' interactions were amusing, if not as in-depth or believable as some of Roberts' other brotherly interactions.

I couldn't get behind Cam and Anna's relationship. No matter how objective Anna says she was, a woman who would willingly compromise the safety and security of a child (Seth) shouldn't engage in a sexual relationship and muddy the waters. Her behavior just didn't make sense to me; moreover, it made me doubt the validity of Anna's character, her devotion and her motivation to being a social worker; and the entire social services system. Fiction should give us a reprieve from reality, especially the feel-good, happily-ever-after genre of romance. I'm sure there are people like Anna out there in the real world. I don't want to spend my leisure time reading about them.

The only good thing about this book was Seth. Not a bad read, I suppose, but not Roberts' best effort.

4-0 out of 5 stars Book order I received...
The copy of Sea Swept that I received came in very promptly.
It arrived in very good condition;just as promised in the listing.
I was more than satisfied with it,and it's speedy delivery!

Return to the lush green hills of Ireland, where love is touched by magic--and where the Gallagher siblings explore the depths of their fiery hearts.Amazon.com Review
In the small village of Ardmore, Ireland, Gallagher's pub isthe center of the lively seaside community and the home of threepassionate siblings: Aidan, Shawn, and Darcy. As a world traveler anda barkeep, the eldest brother Aidan has just about seen and heard itall, but when a quiet professor from Chicago enters his tavern, he isinstantly intrigued--and certain that there is more to Jude Murraythan what meets the eye.

Jude has returned to her grandmother's ancestral home to sort out herthoughts, know her heart, and "find Jude F. Murray in six months or less."After a life of deliberate security, Jude finds herself recovering from afailed marriage and a disappointing career. With the pretense of a researchexpedition, Jude leaves her life in Chicago and moves into the charminghouse on top of the faerie hill. Surrounded by the awesome scenery andrelieved by the simplicity of life, Jude excuses her visions of ghosts andfaeries as signs of her mental recovery.

But the inhabitants of Ardmore, and Aidan Gallagher in particular, don'tdismiss these apparitions with such convenient logic, and Jude learns tolisten more carefully to the messages in the world. As Aidan andJude draw closer to each other, Jude struggles to discover, balance, anddefine the complex parts of her soul.

In the character of Jude Murray, Nora Roberts has created asophisticated woman whose internal development from skittish recluseto confident lover is realistic and convincing. Carefully avoiding the"good man is a solution to all problems" plot, Roberts lets Jude andAidan interact and develop individually, as well as together as acouple. While this modern tone is refreshing, it feels a bit at oddswith the supernatural, faerie themes. As this is the first in a seriesabout the Gallagher siblings and the faerie legend, perhaps thesethematic contradictions will sort themselves out in the subsequentnovels. --Nancy R.E. O'Brien ... 4-0 out of 5 stars Great Irish story
you can tell Nora loves Ireland. Besides the storyline which was a page turner, the description and welcoming of Ireland was wonderful. Made you want to take a trip to Ireland and be welcomed.

5-0 out of 5 stars One of my faves!
'Jewels of the Sun' and 'Tears of the Moon' (books 1 and 2 of the Gallagher series) are among my favorite NR books. They are both full of characters I wish I knew and places I'd love to visit. I finished the books feeling that I'd lived a short time in an Irish village!

The relationship between Jude and Aidan is complex enough to be interesting, but not so angst-ridden as to be tedious. I could identify with Jude in the process of recreating herself, and I liked seeing the impact of it in the way she viewed herself and on her evolving relationship with Aidan. I also liked the little bit of magic thrown in! The character development seemed very well done. I felt like I knew the main characters well and really liked them. But there were also great secondary characters that I became attached to. Really fun book! It's on my keeper shelf!

3-0 out of 5 stars Lighter Fare
I know Nora Roberts is a widely read author - probably because her style is simple and straightforward. Before I read Jewels of the Sun, I had read a couple of books by Frank Delaney - a much deeper, more interesting author. So by comparison, this Roberts book pales.

A couple of things stand out:Jude, the lead character, lives in a house with a ghost and seems unfazed by it - even when she first discovers it.And then the ghost appears a few times in the story, but has no interaction with Jude.Conversely, Jude has several encounters with another tortured spirit, who says he is using Jude, but we never know why.

Aside from a few things left unconcluded, the book was fun reading about an Irish family that could have lived anytime and anywhere in Ireland.

2-0 out of 5 stars Cheesy
I'd read several stories by Nora Roberts before I came across this book and considering the amount of good reviews it had gotten I was expecting something amazing. But my goodness was I mistaken. I couldn't finish it and finally gave up around chapter 15.

I pushed myself to read as much of it as I could but I couldn't take it seriously. It was just one irish cliche after another and I wouldn't be surprised to hear if a few leprechauns popped up later in the story . There seemed to be endless paragraphs describing the misty green hills and the red haired freckled faced women of the village. And don't get me started on the dialogue. It was so corny that I would cringe when I'd read it.

I didn't enjoy Roberts' take on life in Ireland and I'll be staying well clear of any other books set in the Emerald Isle !

3-0 out of 5 stars Nora Roberts Has Written Better
Hot Ice wasn't a bad book, it just seemed a little too formulated. The partnership between Whitney and Doug is too unlikely. Believing that a pampered high society heiress, who spends all her time lounging in Paris or some other glamorous place, can somehow hold up in Madagascar on foot in the jungle is asking too much. There are evil men shooting at the duo, Whitney witnesses murders of people she likes, yet somehow she soldiers on, saying that good always beats evil. While all fiction needs some suspension of disbelief, Hot Ice required a little too much.

If you like Nora Roberts, then Hot Ice is still worth reading. However, some her better books include Public Secrets, Hidden Riches, and Divine Evil.

5-0 out of 5 stars fabulous caper story
I always think of this as Nora's caper book.

Unfortunately, I don't think this is one of the books that's being considered as a movie. Which is just as well--they're making Lifetime movies out of them, and this would make a good mainstream movie.

There's the bored but plucky heiress, the daring jewel thief, action, adventure, crocodiles, caves, chases, drama, an evil villain and his creepy henchmen, even a pig. Somebody should contact the producers who made The Italian Job. Seriously. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Lovely stories of family, love and life... Worth the buy!
This series of books is really some of Nora Robert's best writing. I have read and reread these stories multiple times. I loan this collection of books to my sister and had to beg to get them returned to me. The Chesapeake Bay series has to do with a set of three adoptive brothers whom after dealing with the lose of their father have their lives turned upside down when they find out that there is now another brother to look after "Seth". These three brothers go out of thier way tomake Seth feel like one of the family and to try and stop Seth's money crazed mother from getting custody back from them. Along the way all three of the brother stumble into love and their lives change. Overall they are three very touching stories about love knowing know boundries, family and how life changes at will. I would recomend them to anyone.

From the #1 New York Times bestselling author-the first book in the reissued Three Sisters Island trilogy is a tale of friendship, fate, and the mysterious ways of the heart.Amazon.com Review
Setting: Three Sisters Island, coast of New England, present day

Sensuality rating: 6

Perennial New York Times bestselling author Nora Roberts's new Three SistersIsland trilogy is pure magic! No, I mean really magic. An intriguing combination of The Witches of Eastwick and Sleeping With the Enemy, Dance Upon the Air introduces readers to the idyllic town of Three Sisters Island. Reputedly conjured by a trio of sisters seeking to escape the Salem witch-hunts, the island remains a place of quiet refuge for one and all, including pretty Nell Channing who arrives in town afraid of her own shadow, with few possessions and no past. But the warm, sunny days and cool, windswept nights, as well as the loving concern of new friends--especially hunky sheriff Zack Todd--soon lure skittish Nell into a much-welcome fresh life. Nell's new boss, the captivatingly lovely bookstore owner Mia Devlin (look for Mia's story, hopefully, in the not-too-distant future), wonders from what or whom Nell is running. Mia treats Nell as she would a sister, which isn't too far off the mark, helping Nell discover and explore her inner resources while Zack's romantic attentions bring a rosy glow to Nell's cheeks and to her future. But something wicked this way comes… Will Nell be ready to face and conquer her past? Even with the love and support of Mia, Zack, and Zack's fellow police officer, his peppery, down-to-earth sister Ripley, Nell has the fight of her life--the fight for her life--on her hands. Roberts continues to delight fans and create new believers with her talent and imagination. --Alison Trinkle ... Read more

I am a new Nora Roberts reader. I normallylean towards Danielle Steele but I have found a new favorite Author, Nora Roberts! This trilogy was absolutely amazing and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a love novel with a twist of witch craft, psycho husband and a little darkness. Love the books!!!

5-0 out of 5 stars My first foray into Nora Roberts - what a ride!
This book was my first step into the world of romantic fiction and oh my goodness! I picked this book up because I have a fascination with witchcraft and it was wonderful to see a story about love, friendship and magic that really made my reading time spin. I found Nell endearing as she dared to begin again and the friendship between the three women made me glad about the friendships I have. The love interest Zach definitely made my mouth water and by the end of the story, not only was I wishing I could be Nell, I couldn't wait to get my hands on book two!

4-0 out of 5 stars Sweet story, light read
This is the first book in the three sisters trilogy. Ms. Roberts is a great writer so the writing flows well and the story manages to surround you as you read. Wonderful imagery and setting pull you right in and make you feel at home.

Overall, this is a sweet romance and almost a "coming of age" story about a young woman finding herself after an abusive marriage and life on the run. The magic and witch-craft aspect of the story line is more just a little bit of context for the romance. Unlike other books in the paranormal genre, this one only touches upon it. The story is driven more by the characters and a need for healing than anything else.

If you are in the mood for a story of healing and homecoming with just a dash of magic, then this is for you! ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Best Nora of all
Three Fates by Nora Roberts Is fantastic. I was a little worried with how she would handle the three different love stories in one book but ofcourse the unstoppable Ms Roberts pulls it off. And boy does she pull it off. My favourite couple were Malachi and Tia but the other two were great too. This is one of the less scary of Robert's romantic suspence novels. I like all of them but this one has more of a focus on romance and just works on all levels.
So worth anybodies money!

5-0 out of 5 stars FATE
It was fate that Nora Roberts have another hit. This woman knows how to tell and story and make you wish you were part of it.The characters draw you into their lives and you feel as if you're actually their living the moment with them.A must read for all Nora Roberts fans.

5-0 out of 5 stars Wonderful
My favorite from Nora thus far. I still have trouble deciding on my favorite couple. The plot was never lacking and the humor, as always, was top notch.

4-0 out of 5 stars Threads intertwine and entertain
First off, let me say that while I do like series where the characters are recurring and plot lines that twist together, I am a little tired of having to read all the trilogies that Nora Roberts puts out. I am a big fan of her work, but I find it frustrating that I enjoy so many of her series, and then never end up finishing them (based mostly on a tiny budget and lack of dorm room space).

The Three Fates, however, had it all in one package. Usually the three main couples would have been broken up into a three part series, but here they all come together and fit like puzzle pieces. Well-developed and intriguing, this book is definitely worth the investment.

The story revolves around the Three Fates, a set of mythical statues that have been separated by history. In comes the Irish Sullivan family: Malachi, Gideon, and Rebecca. By a twist of fate and lineage, they end up searching for the fates, and along the way rewrite their destinies. Their counterparts take the form of Tia Marsh, a mythologist, teamed up with Malachi; Cleo Toliver, former stripper, teamed with Gideon; and Jack Burdett, security expert, teamed with Rebecca. Over three different continents and multiple cities, these three couples chase the Fates, with the infamous Anita Gaye tight on their heals. Anita is one of the more perfect villains, driven by greed, ambition and vanity to get what she wants. And she wants the Fates. It will take all of their diverse skills to stay one step ahead of her, and deal with falling in love at the same time.

As I said before, normally Roberts would break up the stories into a series, but it was all intertwined in this novel of suspense and love. The characters were layered, the plot thick, with just enough humor to keep it from being too dark for a Roberts' work. Yet again her style comes through, with verve and enthusiasm. If you are in the market for good reading, without the burden of buying the next in the series, I recommend this book heavily.

5-0 out of 5 stars Brilliance on paper...
Ahhh...what to say about this utterly brilliant book? There are many, but I'll try to keep it short...The "New Age" Nora is no way even close to the her older works. It's sad to think the younger generation will brush this great author off after reading her recent novels and will miss out on her greatness. I really think it's going to be rare in a couple of years that anyone under the age of 25 will even consider picking up something like "Three Fates" to just pass the time. (Sorry...didn't mean to get into all that)...
Stories like these are so few and far between, and should be read by anyone who enjoys getting lost in a book, a good long romance and of course writing at it's best. She could have made a Trilogy from this but she didn't...Nora gave us 3 books in one, and let me tell you it was great!

Here's my favorite line from the book...I don't think I'll ever forget it..."You spend your life getting walked on, you learn to recognize the tread" Don't you love that? I think I'll add that to my favorite quotes!

I very much recommend this one to all my friends =) ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars A great story by a great author
Kudos to Nora Roberts - I bought the audio book because of the long commute i was experiencing with my previous job and because of this book along with a few others of hers, i enjoyed every second of my ride! to the point i would still be listening to it even after i arrive to my destination.

4-0 out of 5 stars Classic Nora!

Every time I see a Nora Roberts novel that I haven't read, I grab it. I know that traditionally Robert's novels offer romance, suspense and easy to follow plots, and this was no exception.

The story begins with infant, Jessica Cullen stolen from her stroller while her family tried to take Christmas pictures with Santa. Distracted for a moment by her distraught son, Suzanne is devastated to find her daughter is missing without a trace. Faced with grief and guilt, Suzanne eventually separates from her husband but starts a successful baking career. Imagine after several years of disappointing leads her excitement when she turns on the news to see a woman who reminds her of herself and her missing daughter Jessica. Enters, Callie Dunbrook, archaeologist extraordinaire, has been summoned to a "find" at Antietam Creek, the site of future homes. Faced with the fact that her whole life may have been a lie and she may be the infant taken years earlier, Callie must re-evaluate her entire life, and solve the mystery of who took her and why. Sent to assist Callie on their most recent discovery is Jake Graystone, Callie's estranged ex-husband who intends to woo her back. With support from Jake and a host of other supporting characters (a widowed attorney with a child, Lana; a newly discovered big brother, Doug), Callie is determined to discover the truth. As deaths start to plague the site, Callie and Jake soon realize that her abduction could be the catalyst of all recent events.

I enjoyed this Roberts novel and would definitely recommend it to readers who like romance and suspense. It's a quick and easy read and has just the tight amount of twists and turns to keep you guessing, and a nice well wrapped up ending. I would suggest this Robert novel to all those that traditionally enjoy her works.

Callie Dunbrook is an acclaimed archaeologist at the top of her game, but one appearance on television changes her life forever. While working on a historic dig in Maryland, she discovers she was kidnapped when she was an infant and raised by another family. As she struggles to deal with her new family ties, the sudden appearance of her anthropologist ex-husband Jake Graystone, she also has to try to find out who is sabotaging the site.

I really enjoyed this book! It is now one of my favorites. I have been on geology digs, so I really liked the setting of this story. There was good rapport and chemistry between Jake and Callie. They made a very likeable couple. The secondary characters were also an important part of the story. The biological family Suzanne, Jay, and Doug were well written.

3-0 out of 5 stars A bit disappointing...
I loved the first two books in this series. They are among my favorite NR books. I'm sorry to say that I was a bit disappointed in this book. The character of Darcy had so much potential in the first two books and I was really looking forward to her story. Unfortunately, I didn't see much of the warmth and depth of her personality that seemed was coming from the other stories. She was more shallow, not as lovable as before. Not a bad character, but not what I was hoping for. As for Trevor, another okay character, but not one I could love. I'm not completely sure why the book didn't do it for me, as it seems many people loved it. I liked it in that it rounded out and finished the story, both for Darcy and for the other main characters. It also gave us the resolution to the fairy part of the story. For these reasons, it's on my keeper shelf, but I was really hoping for a little more punch.

1-0 out of 5 stars Drivel - Beyond Belief
My only excuse for having read this to the end is that I was stranded and had nothing else to read. It's silly, predictable and boring, with one-dimensional characters in a stereotypical setting.Beware! It is mind-numbing - there are plenty of good reads around, don't bother with this one.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great Nora Roberts Trilogy

1-0 out of 5 stars Slept through this one!
What a disappointment after "Blood Brothers". I couldn't wait for "The Hollow" in the trilogy, but found it boring. Blah, Blah, Blah, chapter after chapter. The audio book narration was weak and I found myself skipping chapters hoping each time the story would get better.

3-0 out of 5 stars Bad luck
Ordered this item, but never received it. Guess it got lost in the mail. Seller claimed it might not have fit into mailbox and been lost that way, but we have a large mailbox and it would not have had any trouble fitting. I received a refund from Amazon. Now I have to start all over again with a different seller.

4-0 out of 5 stars The order I placed was for the audio version, but I recieved a paper back book!
I was only interested in the audio books. For some reason (may have been my fault) I got a paper back.I placed two orders for audio books in the same order, I recieved one audio set of CDs and one paper back.

I enjoyed the trilogy.

3-0 out of 5 stars Demons
Roberts skims the surface of the paranormal in her romantic novel. Ancient myths and legends come to the attention of the main characters as they investigate the recent activity of the resident town demon. Every seven years this black energy becomes active and plays havoc on the lives of the residents of a small town. The main character, a young man now decides that with the help of his friends this is the last time for its sinister acts no matter what the danger is to himself.
Some pagan rituals such as blood letting are incorporated into the plot bringing a supernatural quality to the setting of what is predominately a romantic novel

4-0 out of 5 stars The Hollow
The Hollow is book two of the Signs of Seven trilogy by Nora Roberts. It is the story of three men who accidentally unleashed a demon, buried for three hundred years,on their tenth birthday.Since then, every seven years, people are driven to unthinkable acts of violence. Cal, Fox and Gage are unaffected and left to defend the victims alone. The seven years will be up in July but; this time, there are three woman who are also connected, to help them destroy the demon once and for all. It's no surprise that the six break off into couples. I felt neutral about the first book. But, book two proves better than book one.I thought the romance between Fox and Layla was better than Cal and Quinn. In addition, as the demon gains more power, there is more action in this book. Can't wait to see how the story concludes in book three. ... Read more

1-0 out of 5 stars Yawn...
These stories were just so...lifeless. I just couldn't get into the first one, there wasn't any depth or feeling in the characters.

The second story was worse, and again no depth to the characters.

The third story was okay, but then it became annoying when Liv started acting really rude to Thorpe, whom I found to be a great character. He didn't deserve Liv, she was mean and cold. There was no excuse for her behavior, no matter how bad her past was. She actually told him that he needed to check into a mental hospital, and that was when I gave up on the whole book.

4-0 out of 5 stars Surprised by the low ratings
I loved these stories.I have been reading Nora Roberts books for awhile and haven't been moved and cried as I have with these stories. The title fits the stories. It is definitely From the Heart.

4-0 out of 5 stars From The Heart
This was a good read.I enjoyed it and can recommend the book to Nora Roberts fans.

3-0 out of 5 stars Hit and Miss
I bought and read this book several years ago, and the only story I've since re-read is the last one.On the whole, it's middle-of-the-road Nora Roberts, not her best and not her worst, but they're pleasing little stories, for the most part, and the last one has more dimension than the previous two.

5-0 out of 5 stars Fun and light reading

Three women learn that the heart of their historic home holds a mystery of years gone by, as number-one bestselling author Nora Roberts brings her In the Garden trilogy to a captivating conclusion, following Blue Dahlia and Black Rose.

Hayley Phillips came to Memphis hoping for a new start, for herself and her unborn child. She wasn't looking for a handout from her distant cousin Roz, just a job at her thriving In the Garden nursery. To Hayley's chagrin, she has begun to dream about Harper-as much more than a friend...

If Hayley gives in to her desire, she's afraid the foundation she's built with Harper will come tumbling down. Especially since she's begun to suspect that her feelings are no longer completely her own. 4-0 out of 5 stars Trilogy Conclusion Delivers Warmth AND Chills
~* 3.5 Stars *~
Over one hundred years ago, a young woman on the brink of insanity...or just beyond it...disappeared without a trace. Her ghost haunts the house and grounds of the Harper household and has for as long as anyone alive can remember. Most who have seen or heard her speak of the care she shows to the children of the house, singing lullabies to the young and offering a comforting presence to young mothers. But there is a darkness, too, and when lullabies become edged in madness and comfort turns to terror, a group of family and friends must ban together to find out who their ghost is, WHERE she is, if they have any hope of surviving her wrath.

Hayley Phillips knows all about difficult choices and personal strength. It takes a special sort of strength to be a single mother, and even more to pack up the only life she'd ever known while pregnant and move all the way across the country in the hopes that distant relative Roz Harper would help her get a job. She was rewarded for that temerity, and now she's got a daughter, Lily, a home at the Harper house, and friends and family in Roz and Stella. Hayley even has a lust interest in Harper, Roz's son...when she's not willfully pushing all thoughts of lust aside out of respect, however misplaced, for her friendship with Roz.

Harper Ashby is his mother's son, and the gorgeous Hayley is living in his mother's house, both a friend and distant relative. Because of this, and out of respect for his mother and Hayley both, not to mention the strength of will that he got directly from Roz, he's spent more than a year forcing his thoughts into the brotherly range when he looks at Hayley - not always successfully. The young mother tugs on more than one of his heartstrings and her daughter Lily has him firmly wrapped around every one of her tiny fingers. Then one evening, the delectable Hayley knocks on his door, steps into his kitchen, and changes everything...in the best possible ways.

That night, the Harper Bride does the same...in not so nice ways.

Harper and Hayley struggle with the insidious influences of a malignant entity as the corps of family and friends race to find out the whole story of Amelia, with the desperate hope that knowledge is more than power - it's the key to ending what has gone far beyond a haunting and straight into ghostly possession.

As we come full circle in Roberts' In the Garden trilogy, there are few surprises left for the romantic pairing of Hayley and Harper, but that lack of surprise doesn't mean the development of their relationship doesn't have merit. Sweet and a little zany, single mother Hayley has a slew of obligation and not a whole lot of room for a complicated romance, and there's nothing at all about being intimate with one of her best friend's sons that isn't complicated. Many of Hayley's deepest concerns may be unwarranted, but they're real to her, and her story is thick with that understandable angst. Harper has been a solid, reliable presence since the start of the trilogy, and Amelia's ghostly impingement has triggered his most protective instincts - also a legacy from his mother. His stubborn bullheadedness, however, and his attempts to male-muscle his way into pushing Hayley around for her own good actually add character to his personality...not always good character - but interesting, at least. That's actually an aspect that I felt missing from the previous book, characters with a flash of their flaws now and then.

The plot of Red Lily, though, lacked much of the depth and layers of the first and second book in the trilogy. There were no real external issues to supplement the romance and the battle with an annoyed specter, and in this case, that turns out to be slightly unfortunate, because while the issues with Amelia do come to conclusion in this final book, Hayley and Harper's relationship - which really started germinating back in Blue Dahlia (In the Garden, Book 1) - didn't offer enough in the way of complications or complexity to hold my interest throughout the book. And even though the Harper Bride issues were expanded and intensified, I didn't find Amelia to be enough to support the book on its own, either. There was a lot of planting and growing information included, as there has been all along in the trilogy, but in this book I found it difficult to slog through at times without other plot thread distractions.

Still, the undisputed strength of this series lays in the bonds between the primary and secondary characters - those family by blood and those by choice. That is always the core of Roberts' trilogies - the relationships between the characters. How they start, how they grow and develop, and how that growth blooms into something that feels true and abiding. In that respect, this series (and all the others) is far greater than the sum of each individual book, and one of the most significant drawing points for me when I'm reading Roberts. I may not have been quite as fond of Red Lily as I was of Blue Dahlia and Black Rose, but together, the trilogy was a pleasure and a treat and I'd recommend it to anyone who enjoys a ghost, a mystery, and strong, independent women coming together with the men who love them.

Reviewed for One Good Book Deserves Another.

4-0 out of 5 stars Good Book.
This is the third book in the Garden Trilogy. Personally I think this book lacked a bit of substance in describing Hayley. I feel I received a better glimpse into Stella and Roz' life and personalities in the first two books. It was really rich with Amelia, the Harper Bride ghost. All in all, a good trilogy series.

5-0 out of 5 stars really good book
This book finished up the trilogy very nicely. I love Nora Roberts use of the paranormal. I bought this book in "Used" condition and I would not have known it wasn't a new book if I hadn't been the one to order it.I strongly recommend the Nora Roberts trilogy.

3-0 out of 5 stars Red Lily by Nora Roberts
Hi

My review of all three books in this series is this:The author didn't start with the family of the story, no, she started with the employee who would eventually start working for the family.Oh yeah, its about a ghost who haunts this beautiful mansion of a house, the Harper House. Then the author takes you on a roller coaster ride into the world of flowers and propagation of flowers/plants.To be honest, not that interested in it at all.Okay, some, but not as thorough as she wrote about it.No.She didn't write nearly enough about the past Harper family nor present Harper family. The author went back and forth from present time to past time about the family to tell the readers how the ghost happened to be, but still not enough, though.I felt that she should have written more of the Harper family than the people that they would eventually marry in the Harper family, which to me, didn't make any sense.Again, I think the author should have focused on the main characters, the Harpers.I will continue to read Nora Robert's books but this just didn't hit it over the ballpark like her other books.Sorry.

P.S.Sorry, I didn't write a review of this particular book but the overall series.I hope what I said inspires you to read the series anyway, because, hay, it's Nora Roberts. We still love to read her books eventhough a few aren't as good as the ones we've read in the past.Still, enjoy!

2-0 out of 5 stars *Yawns*
This was so hard to get into. I didn't feel any connection between the two main characters. I didn't feel anything for anyone, in fact. In this book, Roberts didn't really go into how any of the characters were feeling. The only part in the whole book that had emotion was the prologue. From then on, it was just...flat. It was more like watching things happening. People talking. Doing things. But there was no passion or anything. The romantic relationship and the plot were not really write well together. I sometimes had no idea what they were talking about when the subject of the ghost and the history came up, because they were so vague with what they said. ... Read more

1-0 out of 5 stars THIS was a Nora Robert's Book???
Clare Kimball is having nightmares about devil worship and cult rituals, so she goes home to her tiny rural town to overcome them, since her hometown is the scene of her nightmares. She meets up with an old acquaintance, Sheriff Cam Rafferty. And learns that maybe her nightmares are actually memories.

This book was, well, evil. Couldn't believe it was Nora Roberts. First of all, if you're looking for a ROMANTIC suspense, do NOT read this book. I would not consider this a romance at all. The "romance" in this book had come and gone before you realize that there's the teeniest sliver of tender feelings. You're like, "Wait... what? That's it?!" And the synopsis is misleading. It says that Cam Rafferty had loved Clare from afar when they were younger, when NO, he didn't. More like he had HEARD OF HER from afar. Which doesn't change the plot, but I had a vision in my head about his long lost love coming home to him- I have NEVER been more wrong. The cult ritual descriptions were terrifying. I got chills, it was so disturbing. The ending- there is no real ending. Everything just gets cut off and there's no more to read. There was so much potential, and I was so incredibly disappointed. I'm writing this book off as Nora Roberts's big mistake, but will continue to read her books. BIG disappointment.

5-0 out of 5 stars I loved this book!
Honestly I don't understand why people keep saying this book was so disturbing, I personally found it intriguing. I adore light romance novels, but this really was gripping. It grabbed you and would not let go until you finished. The dark undertone truly is what made this book in my opinion. The different characters are portrayed well and the ending is a complete surprise unlike some of Roberts' books.

Now all this being said, I still wouldn't recommend this book for people who are easily disturbed. I started reading Roberts' books when I was twelve (two years ago) while I enjoyed her lighter romances, I looooved this one. She took more of her J.D Robb persona into this book, I think. Over the last few years of her work I begin to notice a pattern, The newer the books get, the more graphic and violently inclined they are. Frankly, I enjoy her newer books much more than her old ones simply because she adds to the characters and the plot so much more.

Anyway here's a summary:

Within the dark woods of Emmitsboro something evil spreads its poisonous power. Now the once-peaceful town is wrapped in a cloak of terror, hiding a teacherous heart. And now Clare must pay the price for digging up the secrets of the past. . . and confront an evil that may be unstoppable -- because those who practice it may be divine.

A decade ago, sculptor Clare Kimball fled Emmitsboro, Maryland, to take the art world by storm. Now she's celebrated as the artist of her generation. But no amount of success can eclipse the nightmares that haunt her--or the memories of her father's suicide. Just as her star is shining brighter than ever, Clare leaves it all behind to face her demons.
Emmitsboro sheriff Cameron Rafferty loved Clare from afar all through high school. Now that she's back, they form a bond that grows stronger each day--fueled by an attraction that's been simmering for years. But Clare's past soon rises up with a vengeance, rocking the town with a sinister murder that is clearly linked to her return. As an investigation gets under way, Clare and Cameron will learn that evil can linger anywhere--even in those you love and trust the most. But it's a discovery that may come too late to save them....

One more time for kicks, I truly loved this book!

4-0 out of 5 stars Romance? just a little...
I just finished the book and usually all the books that i read from Nora are ALWAYS a 5 star book, well not this one. The book was good interesting but at the end of the book it left a few things that i would have love for the author to go over, it ended soooo fast! Let me just warned that this book is not the regular romantic Rora's book this book has a lot of violence related to a cult and dark religion. The characters are nice with a good personality... but not one of her best book especially after reading The Reef.

5-0 out of 5 stars Divine Evil by Nora Roberts
This book was received in excellent condition. It was delivered in a timely manner which was greatly appreciated. I love reading and plan to use Amazon again and again.

4-0 out of 5 stars Still wondering....
B+

Forgettable? Probably. "Divine Evil" kept me entertained throughout and there was never really a dull moment.

I'm still not sure why this wasn't a 5 Star for me...it might have been the characters (or maybe just my personal lack of connection with them), or the fact that the "cult" killed and raped for more than 20 years and no one in this teeny/gossipy small town noticed. WTH?!

Even after my negatives this was still a great summer read and I really enjoyed it. Nora never lets you down (well until her recent works)...When you buy one of her books you always have the comfy cozy "never a waste of money" feeling b/c you know you're getting a good story, fast action, a real romance, and an ending that never leaves any questions unanswered.

5-0 out of 5 stars I Love This Series
I have been reading this Key Trilogy for years and I absolutely love it. No matter how many times I read it I enjoy it immensely. I sit back with a nice glass of wine and pizza and relax. I especially like reading it when it is stormy out because it adds an ambience with candles that one cannot deny for this series. I love the characters, Mallory for her strong and even personality. Dana for her logic and book smarts. Zoe for her protective nature. Flynn for his journalistic edge to everything. I even enjoy Moe, the crazy, silly dog that apparently looks like a friendly bear. I lost this series when I moved and I am glad to be able to get them back through Kindle. I have just finished this book and now I am on to the next one. If you love mystery and romance and a little comedy, then this is the series for you. I have never been disappointed and I know you won't be either. I am a little clueless on why there were 8 people who gave this a one...

KEY OF LIGHT by Nora Roberts

4 stars * * * *

Malory, Zoe and Dana are summoned by 2 gods toWarriors Peakand are informed that Malory must find a key that will release three souls held captive by an evil god.Little does she Malory know that the quest will bring her new friends, the love of her life and danger beyond anyone's imagination.

Malory is a bright and talented gallery manager.Dana is a librarian who is far from stereotypical.Zoe is a beautician/stylist who frequently gives beauty tips advice. Being with these three is reminiscent of aslumber party.

Malory first meets Flynn Hennessy when she's lovingly attacked by Moe, Flynn's doofus of a charming dog.Moe is himself often a source of comic relief, and described as "pathologically friendly." Flynn owns the local newspaper and is also Dana's brother. His two friends will find themselves attracted to Dana and Zoe. Flynn is a reluctant hero, but he does rise to the challenge, as is true with most of Nora's memorable heroes.

2-0 out of 5 stars Ugh
After about seven chapters, I gave up. I couldn't stand Malory. She was a rude, selfish, and materialistic brat who was so unappealing. I couldn't relate to her at all, and the way she spoke to Flynn...ugh, I just didn't want to read any more. I don't know how he wanted to see her again, other than that she was pretty, which is a stupid reason, because we all know how that works out. Aside from that, this book was just boring. I might read Dana's story though, because she seems like a likable character.

2-0 out of 5 stars Boring
I generally enjoy NR books, but this one isn't one of them.I couldn't connect with the characters or the story; there was way too much description of diving and searching for artifacts; the characters were dull along with the dialog between them.I did read the entire book, but it was a chore.
