From the supplier: Pres. Clinton's successful reelection bid offers an ideal opportunity for speculation. Usually, journalists are the ones asked to speculate on these matters. Along this line, 11 speculations on Pres. Clinton's second term are made. These include new cover-ups as the Whitewater affair is fleshed out, a continued deterioration of civil liberties, the continuing loss of power and influence by the Democrats and the decline of the news industry with the emergence of infotainment services.

Product Description
From an author thoroughly committed to the verbal inspiration of the Scriptures comes a completely new commentary on Christ's great eschatological discourse. Based on a reconstruction of the text from all three synoptic gospels (derived from the UBS-3 Greek New Testament), the author presents an interpretation that takes all of the Olivet Discourse material into account. Also included are thorough discussions of past interpretations, hermeneutics, structure, and theology-all from a dispensational premillennial perspective.Understanding the Olivet Discourse is crucial to understanding subsequent New Testament teachings on such topics as the tribulation, the second coming, and events preparatory to Christ's coming earthly rule. Contrary to popular amillennial, postmillennial, and premillennial interpretations, the author makes the case that Christ's last discourse has much to say about the Church at the end of the present age, and its imminent rapture-a truth long obscured, even by many premillennialists. ... Product Description
Created "for progressive voters with a sense of fury and humor," this book lists the top 50 reasons to vote the Republicans out of the White House in the upcoming election. The writing style is forthright and provocative, with incendiary allegations backed up by numerous quotations and rigorous statistics. Essays include "The Bankrupting of America"; "John Ashcroft Is Watching"; "Shrubonomics"; "Bet on Terrorism for Fun and Profit!" and "George's Daddy (and George's Granddaddy)." They all lead up to reason number one, "He Stole the 2000 Election," which is summed up in the following way: "The end result is a national disgrace: a phony election illegitimately putting into office a sorry excuse for a man. For this reason alone, Bush deserves to be rightfully snubbed in 2004, to restore any basic level of legitimacy to a government that is supposed to be of the people, by the people, and for the people." Contributors include Greg Palast, Russ Kick, Jonathan Vankin, James Ridgeway, Robert Anton Wilson, and Robbie Conal. ... Read more

1-0 out of 5 stars what about the issues
americans need to look at each canidates history.....just because one runs for democratic or republican president does not mean he has the ability.........more americans should be independents and select presidents for their history not their party...........this is just another attack a party book.

5-0 out of 5 stars Should be required reading.
This book is an excellent collection of facts and reasons as to why George W. Bush should be removed from office...IMMEDIATELY! From reading "My pet Goat" while the WTC was under attack to cutting pay & benefits for our troops while he beckons the enemy to 'bring it on' and kill them. As Margaret Cho states on the book jacket, we are country of the alarmingly stupid and the just plain alarmed. Arm yourself with the facts and vote this clown out on November 2nd.

5-0 out of 5 stars PASS THIS BOOK AROUND!
I picked up this book in my bookstore, and I opened to a short essay by Mark Crispin Miller. Reason #24: Bush is a Psychopathic Killer. Ouch. It sounds like a joke, but when you see the evidence. Bush, as an example, is famous for tripping over words, but on closer examination he seems to do so only when he is masquarading as the "Compassionate Conservative." But when he speaks of revenge or putting people to death, watch out! the words slide smooth as a knife. Another example. Bush's script called for him to say, "Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me." But what came out was, "Fool me once, shame . . . shame . . on you. Fool me twice . . . can't be fooled again!" What this tells about Bush? He cannot bring himself to say, Shame on Me. The idea is totally foreign to the psychopathic personality. Mark Crispin Miller, just one of this book's contributors, is a professor of media studies at New York University, where he also directs the Project on Media Ownership. Well after his essay I had to buy the book. The intro says don't take yourself too seriously. So smile as you buy this book in bulk, hand it out to friends and make sure they register and vote just like the world depended on it! ... Read more

Product Description
A gang of renegade knights takes refuge on tiny and remote Lundy Island off the coast of Devon in medieval England.

When they are betrayed, captured and condemned, Friar Otto is sent to investigate their crimes. But, confronted by dangerous ideas, he starts to ask himself awkward questions.

His secret report is Sam Smith's reinterpretation of a 750 year-old manuscript, The Report in Confidence on the Imprisonment and Execution of William de Marisco and Sixteen of His Followers. The original text has been turned into a beautifully-crafted modern novel, utterly convincing in its evocation of the Eighth Century world and mindset.

The prisoners spend as much time goading the prudish celibate with stories about 'tupping' the ladies as they do discussing doctrinal niceties. A brilliant book that deserves a readership.
