5-0 out of 5 stars The Joy of Feeling
A very special book! In its relation to Chinese medicine together with the rich experience and expertise of the author. She brings life into every term or concept. She must be a great help for her clients. Its too specialistic for me to give more judgements. But its obviously an outstanding text about healing and technique on quite a wide and deeplevel .

5-0 out of 5 stars The BodyMind Connection
Human understanding of the connection between emotion and physical health remains elusive in Western Medicine. This provocative Eastern view gives us hope that reintegration of our selves after traumatic moments and the transformation of "negative" feelings is literally at our finger tips.
This book is one of the deepest explorations into the energy of healing and remains a much worn friend in my healing library.
A must have book for healing touch practitioners from all traditions.A must read for all of us who hope to heal ourselves.

5-0 out of 5 stars Stellar
This book is an excellent compendium of information that relates bodymind experience to acupressure theory, five-element theory, and traditional chinese medicine.Fantastic companion to Iona Marsaa Teeguarden's Complete Guide to Acupressure.

5-0 out of 5 stars Access the BodyMind dynamics of emotions
This book expains how emotions -in the Western sense - reflect energetic balance/imbalance -in terms of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Five Element Theory and meridians. Innovative graphics illustrate the complex dynamics. Numerous clinical examples are provided, couched in the beautiful and mystical poetry of Chinese Medicine and Philosophy, against a background of clinical western psychology. An absolutely essential volume for anyone, not weaned on these metaphors, but interested in holistic treatment, at any level. Beatifully written, deserves to be read and re-read. ... Read more

A hangover is the sum of unpleasant physical effects following heavy consumption of alcohol or the use of other drugs. The most common reported characteristics of a hangover are feelings of extreme thirst (dehydration), feelings of being more tired than usual, nausea and headaches. 5-0 out of 5 stars Timeless, Wonderful, Effective, Should Be In Print Now!!!
In this well-written and illustrated book, Lindsay Wagner and her collaborator present a 20-minute acupressure program that will make a positive difference in facial looks and health too, as acupressure points usually have more than one beneficial effect when stimulated. It's easy to do and takes no more energy than sitting upright and stimulating various facial and upper body acupressure points with your fingertips for one minute each! There are also valuable and interesting tips on a healthy lifestyle, majoring in the beneficial effects of a balanced vegetarian diet. This is information that is just as up-to-date today as it was when originally published, and should remain in print for the benefit of anyone who wants or needs to make use of it! I can testify that the facelift works just as well for men as women; I can also say that I have gifted an actress friend with this book, and within only a couple of weeks of practice, she emailed me that people around her had begun to tell her that she was looking ten years younger! There are still used copies of this book available--try it for yourself!

5-0 out of 5 stars It Works!
This book was worth every penny and then some.

The technique works. Not only do you look younger
(after repeated use), but your face feels rejuvinated.

Thank you, Lindsay!

5-0 out of 5 stars A wonderful method
I discovered "New Beauty: The Acupressure Facelift" about five months ago and have practiced Lindsay's acupressure methods nearly every day since. I have noticed great results! I love this book and wish it would be re-printed. She provides a wonderful alternative to surgical facelifts--something plastic surgeons certainly wouldn't like! Still, I think all women should be able to learn about the benefits of facial massaging and exercises and decide for themselves if this method is right for them. It IS right for me.

5-0 out of 5 stars Deserves Reprinting
I found this book several years ago at the public library. It delivers just what it promises, a useful method for improving circulation, health and thereby skin tone and color. Using this method provides a viablealternative to surgery. It's longer lasting, relaxing, non-invasive andcost-effective.A valuable book for anyone committed to self-responsibleself-maintenance.

Because it's out of print, I've borrowed this bookagain several times since.I've also looked for something simliar topurchase, but nothing comes close.Alas! ... Read more

Product Description

Headache is often due to build-up of stress and tension. Acupressure is an effective way to relieve painful sensation associated these conditions. This guide by Aaron Stein, PhD, is based on over 5,000 years of Chinese practice of self-acupressure.

Features

- Step-by-step guide to relieving headaches and migraines at 5 locations:
- In the frontal region of the head (frontal headache).
- In the back of the head (occipital headache).
- On the side of the head (temporal headache).
- On the top of the head (vertex headache).
- Pain in the eye (headache behind the eye).
- Every step explains point location, direction of force, and duration of massage.
- No previous experience necessary
- Total treatment duration 10 to 15 minutes.

How acupressure works

Nobody knows how acupressure works. Very often pain is caused by a self-perpetuating mechanism: pain causes the mind to be attentive to pain, that, in turn causes more pain and even more attention, and so on.
Most likely acupressure works by interrupting this vicious circle. How does acupressure interrupt the cycle? Stimulation of active points is thought to lead to increased release of endorphins. Endorphin is a natural body painkiller. Endorphin and morphine are chemically different molecules but, by coincidence, they have very similar 3-dimensional shape. This similarity in shape allows morphine to bind the endorphin receptor and reduce pain.
Thus endorphin released by acupressure stimulation may lead to temporal reduction of mind's attention to pain, interruption of pain cycle, and following complete cessation of pain.

Product Description
Because no one knows how acupuncture first began, it's no wonder that Americans tend to be skeptical about the practice. But as difficult as it may be for many to believe, acupuncture has the potential to be an effective form of therapy in virtually every area of medicine.A well-trained acupuncturist can treat a wider variety of patients than practically any other type of healthcare professional. In his new book, The Healing Power of Acupressure and Acupuncture: A Complete Guide to Timeless Traditions and Modern Practice, renowned acupuncturist Matthew D. Bauer delves into the roots of acupuncture to offer the first comprehensive theory about the genesis of Chinese medicine, and offers practical information on how to obtain the most help from this ancient healing system.

Adopting a unique and essential three-tiered approach, The Healing Power of Acupressure and Acupuncture covers the development of acupressure and acupuncture under the Eastern methods of science, describes simple acupressure methods that readers can employ on themselves, and explains how acupuncture's ability to stimulate self-healing, used alone or with Western therapies, can help cure dozens of health problems—many of which modern medicine alone is powerless to help!

Readers will learn how to:· Effectively treat migraines, lower pack pain, asthma, allergies, stress, and more· Find the right practitioner· Balance their qi

Acupuncture is based on the theory that there is an invisible force or energy in nature that the Chinese call qi.In a manner similar to blood circulation, qi flows to each cell via a complex network of pathways usually called "channels" or "meridians."If qi gets stuck, it causes an imbalance as upstream cells are flooded with too much qi and downstream cells receive too little.Acupuncture points are those spots where qi has the greatest tendency to get stuck; hence stimulating them with needles (acupuncture) or finger pressure (acupressure) helps free stuck qi and restore normal circulation.Once normal qi circulation is restored, the cells eventually return to their normal, healthy state. ... 3-0 out of 5 stars Maybe it is just a confusing topic
In summary, I certainly have a better understanding then I did before reading the book, but not nearly as much as I had hoped for. I was not expecting to be able to treat myself, but I wanted to be able to have a much more informed discussion with my TCM treatment team and to explain better to my western doctor (who was very supportive of giving TCM a try). This book gave me some appreciation for what my TCM folks were doing, but not the knowledge to communicate I was hoping for.

I started acupuncture and picked this book up in an attempt to build up a better understanding. It did help me get a little better sense of the "theory", but much of the book seemed to talk around the subject.

For example, at the beginning of the book there is a lot of space spent discussing the difference between western science and the eastern view. Most of the verbiage was really focused on complaining about western science . I was a little concerned that many of the criticisms were very simplistic views of the western approach. Basically, the way western was explained was set up to make it look really bad. That was not helpful to me since I know what I like and dislike about western medicine.

Similarly, most of the discussion of TCM kept stressing how every case is different so there is not one answer. Thus, it really comes down to a skilled practitioner. Plus, it cannot be tested since it is so different person by person. But you should trust it as it has been around a long time.

5-0 out of 5 stars The mystery of the history revealed.
Matthew did an excellent job in this book turning the complicated subjects of yin/yang and five-phase theory into clearly understood topics as they are applied to Chinese medicine. His theory is the best I have seen to uncover the mystical roots of acupuncture....it's very plausable that it happened just the way he describes.

This is a wonderful book for anyone with an interest in the history of acupuncture and acupressure, the Daoist philosophy surrounding Chinese medicine in general, and for detailed information and explanations on basic self-healing acupressure practices

5-0 out of 5 stars An Excellent Overview of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine
The author begins with a clear and unbiased explanation of the underlying differences between Western and Eastern Medicine.Within this context, he explains how and why acupuncture works using non-technical terms that any layman can understand.

The book includes clear examples of types of illness that are best treated within the Western biomedical model and those that are more effectively treated using Chinese Medicine (rather than opinion, his information rests on the NIH Consensus study of Acupuncture Effectiveness)

Part Three of the book gives many helpful Self Care instructions and explains the points that one can safely use acupressure on oneself and others to treat a variety of conditions.

An excellent resource for anybody interested in Acupuncture or the Oriental Healing Arts.

5-0 out of 5 stars Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine 101
This easy to understand, unbiased explanation of acupuncture, acupressure, and Chinese medical philosophy helps fill one of the missing links in our understanding of health and disease. It not only offers the reader a fascinating view of Chinese medicine, but provides self-help acupressure techniques from a practitioner who obviously knows his stuff. I enjoyed reading it and think every one interested in this field of medicine and self care can greatly benefit from reading it as well.

5-0 out of 5 stars Healing Power

4-0 out of 5 stars Good book
Good book. Doesn't have too many details but you couldn't expect more from a book this size. The tips are great and useful.

5-0 out of 5 stars Excellent Reference Manual
I use this in my clinic as a massage therapist to assist people by incorporating use of acupressure points in my work. Its an excellent manual to look things up, and give me points to incorporate for most people as I work.

Its also an excellent self help book when I need to strengthen myself from time to time.

As with all body work books you have to be able and willing to touch a few people to find your way to the points. Working on yourself and a couple of family members from time to time will give you the self confidence to navigate the anatomy and find the points. The person who had trouble with this probably never did take the time to feel their way around the bones and muscles on anyone.

3-0 out of 5 stars Not for Beginners
The book is full of photos and diagrams - A lot of professional time has been put into this book.I bought the book in hope that it would help me with my pain issues and to lose weight.I opened the book - looked at the wonderful pictures, read the 'instructions', and felt instantly overwhelmed.I'm a mechanical kind of person and have no medical or holistic background. Most of the techniques require a second person because of position, the locations of the pressure points, and potential multiple simultaneous points. It might be a great book - The problem might be the operator.

5-0 out of 5 stars a real aid to maintaining health
If you believe in the tenets of Chinese medicine, and you want to take care of yourself (or children, spouse, friends, etc.), this book gives excellent guidelines for using acupressure.I've used it for myself and keep it by my bed, in case I wake up in the middle of the night with indigestion!

4-0 out of 5 stars Basic Concepts of Acupressure
This book covers the basic concepts of acupressure and assumes no prior knowledge of this subject.
The concepts covered are: causes of disease, the channels and pressure points, major acupressure points, preparing to treat, herbs and oils, channel-opening techniques, treating common ailments, general vitality, nervous system, immune system, respiration, digestion, elimination, circulation, reproductive system, bones and joints, etc. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Owner's guide to Cat pleasing
This book is a great and very COMPLETE presentation of acu-pessure and energy medicine for our cat friends/family members. It seems that our cats are 1 HUGE energy site and thus can greatly benefit from clearing blockages, etc. of the energy meridians. This book clearly depicts each of the many pathways and describes how each can be balanced to beenfit whatever prolem your feline friedn may have.Is more than a summary so may seem overwhelming but you can get what you want at many different levels of reading and study.Well worth the money and search!

5-0 out of 5 stars great book
This book is an absolute must for any feline lover.I have even given a copy to my vet.I first read this book about 2 years ago when I started my training for Animal Massage.I have used everything this book has taught me and have had great results.

4-0 out of 5 stars Concise and Well-Organized
I'm a small animal massage therapist but have not taken a course in Traditional Chinese Medicine yet. This book is very helpful for giving a good background for what seem to be complicated concepts and multiple ideas. Acu-Cat is written in simple terms with a well-organized format. For someone who did not have any training in bodywork, this might be a bit too much but still a good intro to TCM. I'm reading Acu-Cat along with Four Paws, Five Directions and find the former an excellent resource for the more detailed topics.
Acu-Cat is a "must read" for every vet, vet tech, & massage therapist who did not have TCM in their basic curriculum.

5-0 out of 5 stars PURRRRfect book for cat lovers!
Cats are such sensitive little souls, that's what makes them so responsive to acupressure.Snow and Zidonis have created a guide to feline acupressure that clearly describes how to perform an acupressure treatment, including lots of diagrams.Best of all, the book has specific treatments for common feline conditions like kidney problems, aging issues, hindquarter weakness, calming, and much more.My cats love it, they say "PURRRRRRRRR".Your cats will be in 7th heaven and will definitely have all 9 lives. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Good product
I am definitely an amateur who simply enjoys being able to help my friends and family with acupressure and massage. I found this book to be highly accessible and one of the better works I've encountered on the subject. I was able to quickly find techniques that were new and readily applicable to add to my repertoire.

4-0 out of 5 stars easy read/very helpful
very handy for someone who is thinking about accupressure as a sidegig. the pictures are quite helpful, makes it easier to figure out the material.

5-0 out of 5 stars Full of useful ideas
This book is easy to follow and a must for any student. It explains the concept of seated massage and even helps the reader to approach setting up his or her own business. New to clothed massage I am eager to learn more. Even if this is the only book I buy on this topic, I can see myself being able to give a fantastic on-site massage!

4-0 out of 5 stars A good framework, and a good value.
I am an acupuncturist who was looking to do some chair massage, which was not an area covered during my schooling. I have acquired a lot of massage books, but this one stands out. It gives a suggested routine that is simple and logically arranged. It was easy to use the suggested routine as a springboard for a more customized session. The only caveat is that you need to be familiar with basic massage techniques to understand what is going on. So in that respect it really isn't a book for a lay person, it is more for a beginning professional. ... Read more

2-0 out of 5 stars Mistitled book
The title should state "Complete Idiot's Guide to Acupressure" because there's very little puncture data. Not worth the price in my opinion. I learned from it but not what I was hoping.

5-0 out of 5 stars Is this wise?
While I admire many other books in the series (particularly the volume on satanic love-making techniques) I was a little concerned by the wisdom of this volume. Should we really be encouraging 'complete idiots' to try their hand at sticking needles into the nervous systems of others in the name of medicine? Still, it's not quite as worrrying as the announcement of the forthcoming 'The Complete Idiot's Guide to Performing Gender-Realignment Surgery'.

1-0 out of 5 stars Disappointment
I am looking to understand accupuncture and accupressure without having to suffer through reading text-book style presentations on the subject.Hence my choice of an "Idiot's Guide" book -- I thought it would give me, in layman's terms, a greater understanding of the concepts on which accupuncture and accupressure are based -- kind of a mini-course on the subject.Instead, it focused on what practitioners of these medical arts can do for the patient and what to expect when visiting a practitioner.

While the book does provide descriptions of points that can be stimulated on one's body to alleviate selected conditions as well as visuals in the form of pictures, these are quite limited and not easy to follow.

Also, as I read the book, I was annoyed by the poor editing of the text.Frequent grammatical problems undermine the book's credibility.

Hence my disappointment.

4-0 out of 5 stars Great Introduction
If you know nothing about Acupuncture or Acupressure and are considering treatment this book is a great introduction.Although it talks about Acupressure more than Acupuncture the pressure points are the same for both methods. It talks about the most common issues people seek treatment for, explains what to expect on your first visit, and the basic science behind this ancient form of treatment. I highly recommend it for people who are considering this treatment and have no experience with it.

2-0 out of 5 stars not as excepted
this book talks more about acupressure and how to use it butdoes not go into that much depth for accupunture. ... Read more

Product Description
Flu and common cold are preventable even without drugs or herbs. Natural methods from traditional Chinese medicine including acupressure and acupuncture can be used for the prevention and treatment of influenza and common cold. These prevention methods, including folk remedies, have been proven quite effective in history and are still used today.

For healing colds and flu, non-drug methods and time-tested acupuncture point prescriptions are collected here. These natural healing methods include acupressure, acupuncture, moxibustion, cupping therapy, and auricular (ear) acupuncture. Locations of these acupuncture points are provided to facilitate clinical practice. Differential diagnosis types of colds and flu are described for personalized treatment. Therapeutic principles and needle manipulation methods are recommended for each type.

In addition, acupuncture point prescriptions from some ancient traditional Chinese medicine classics are collected, such as The AB Classic of Acupuncture and Moxibustion (“Zhen Jiu Jia Yi Jing” in Chinese). These classics provide the guidance of selecting the most effective acupuncture points from hundreds of years of experience.

Flu and common cold may occur throughout the year, but are mostly seen in winter and spring. Common cold and flu may have symptoms such as nasal congestion and discharge, cough, fever, sneezing, headache, chilliness, sore throat, general aching of the body, and melancholy. Non-drug natural methods such as acupressure and acupuncture methods can be used to prevent and relieve these symptoms, and promote the healing of the root of the diseases.

“The following methods can be used for the prevention of common cold and flu…. Using the thumbs to press acupuncture points (acupoints) for 3-5 minutes at each point, 2 to 3 times a day…. During the flu season, perform acupuncture at two sides of this acupoint once a day for 3 days consecutively to strengthen the defensive energy and prevent the disease …”

“Chinese medicine is a personalized medicine. Each person is treated differently as they have different health conditions and respond differently even to the same pathogenic factor. Understanding the differential diagnosis types of diseases is important for deciding therapeutic strategies and providing personalized treatment…. Different seasons in a year have different pathogenic factors that are dominant at the time.”

“Use fingers to press these acupuncture points (acupoints), 1 minute for each acupoint…. Heating pads can also be applied on these acupoints…”

5-0 out of 5 stars Stopped my Jaw Clenching
Within a half an hour of reading this book I found the exact problem and cure. I could not stop clenching my jaw. I had chipped all of my rear teeth. I tried month guards and chewed them up in one day. My doctor gave me muscle relaxers, they did not work only made me tired. Than I tried counseling after 20 visits no help. I love this book, it worked for me. But the illustration could be a little clearer. So I also purchased a large fold out chart and with the use of the book and the chart I feel great. At first I pressed on the pressure points three times a day. After two months I am down to once a day and some days I do not need to apply the pressure at all. Thank-U! Thank-U! Thank-U!

5-0 out of 5 stars The best Acupressure book out there!
I LOVE this book. I have read several acupressure books and this one is the best and easiest to use.

The pictures make it very easy to follow. I have gotten a lot of results from using the techniques shown in the book.

I also like the way it is setup. It is very easy to find what you are looking for quickly.

5-0 out of 5 stars Emotional Healing in Minutes by Valarie and Paul Lynch
BURNING THE BRIDGES AND CUTTING THROUGH THE RED TAPE:

In this case, burning bridges behind you is a good thing.Getting rid of obstacles that hold you back and doing it in an easy and efficient way.I love this book.I had another on the same topic but I wasn't getting what I needed in the way I wanted so when this book was recommended by a friend, I ordered it.I am so glad that I did.I have been using the technique and am having good results.I am very happy to have been able to acquire this book.It is a tool that I needed. A real God send to me.

Thank you.

2-0 out of 5 stars Everything in the book is easily available online.
Just look under eft - i.e. emotional freedom techniques - if you are curious.Youtube has lots on it, or you can read urls.If you are a believer in Scriptures, my humble opinion is that you may wish to avoid the recommended verbal repetitions. To me they seem counter Torah and kind of witchy.I do believe acupressure has it's health benefits, but I think prayer rather than "positive affirmations", i.e. YHWH vs. say Norman Vincent Peale with yin/yang meridians, is the way that pleases our Heavenly Father and does not lead to spiritual traps and distractions we may wish we had never gotten into.

I give it two stars for clearly presenting it's case, but no more stars because of what I feel is its potentially spiritually dangerous approach to emotional healing.

The book can also be potentially dangerous for one's physical health. Here is one of the affirmations:"Even though I still have some remaining piercing pain in my eye I deeply and completely accept myself."

This is kind of like "Christian Science."It seems to advocate that if you just feel the right way and/or think the right way, you can change a physical condition.Uhhhh...like maybe that physical pain needs some medical attention?

5-0 out of 5 stars emotional healing in minutes using acupressure techniques for your emotions by valerie and paul lynch
I have read several EFT books, all of which I enjoyed, but this one is now my favorite just because of the writing style. It is very exacting and exceptionally easy to understand. Thanks

5-0 out of 5 stars No Technique is More Effective Than This
I have studied hundreds of different techniques for releasing emotional negativity and trauma (both eastern and western). This book and the techniques within it are leagues ahead and more powerful than any others I have found.

If you are looking for happiness, release of depression, release of additictions, healing of past emotional trauma -- even letting go of big stuff like issues around childhood, deep grief, or anger/rage/sadness/depression ... then this book is your fastest path to getting there. The technique is easy to do and I found I achieved results in minutes/hours as opposed to months/years of psychotherapy or other techniques.

I have used this technique with great success for over 10 years, but it was only 3 years ago that I came across this book -- it is an iteration of the original concept of the people who developed/discovered the technique -- I like the Author's simplification of the process, and have found it to be just as powerful but a lot more simple than other iterations.

This author has given every person the gift of emotional healing. It does not require changing your beliefs (even if you don't think the process will work, it will). It does not require positive affirmations. It does not require months of processing and drama. It does not even require that much of your time (you can literally do a session in < 15 minutes...though it depends on what you are trying to release).

The only thing the reader must do is be willing to WANT to shift emotionally. That is a big step to take for many in our society who prefer to be unhappy rather than take responsibility for themselves.

I highly recommend this book be read and used immediately !!! I really hope it becomes a bestseller -- it should be one. It is a revolutionary process. It may very well put psychologists and psychotherapists out of business. If all of us used this technique, we could change the world.

5-0 out of 5 stars Simple and Effective Method
.
The Emotional Freedom Technique described for self-help in this book is surprisingly effective for a wide range of problems. It is based in the fairly new understanding that negative emotional patterns are symptoms of disturbances in the energy merdians of the body. With EFT we can intervene and correct these disturbances and imbalances directly - at the energy level - through specific acupressure points. Since energy is then free to flow naturally, healing of emotional issues often leads to physical healing and an increased over-all sense of well-being.

Such claims of rapid emotional healing may sound too good to be true, as we come from an orientation of traditional counseling, congnitive, analytical, and 'reliving the pain' psychotherapies. However, these approaches are rarely as effective as we would wish. One only needs to try these new energy methods for oneself to discover their power to create quick and lasting results.

I am certain that energy healing systems are the wave of the future.

Product Description
Timeless Face is a revolutionary approach to facial toning, one that enhances your face's appearance while it contributes to your inner tranquility and well-being.Incorporating the time-honored techniques of Chinese face reading to identify what causes facial features to develop as we age, Ellae Elinwood demonstrates that it is simply not a fact of life that a forehead has to wrinkle, a mouth has to sag, and they eyes have to become baggy. Rather these are generally symptoms of emotional distress and lack of facial fitness, which can be treated and corrected through a simple program that combines acupressure and exercise. For example:Vertical lines between the eyebrows indicate confusion and concern. The Desquinter exercise not only smooths lines and slows down the appearance of new ones, it also generates mental clarity and optimism.Drooping mouth corners and pouchy cheeks are signs of stress and loss of confidence. The Light-hearted exercise will life those mouth corners as it lifts your mood, easing worries and increasing a feeling of self-worth.Deep furrows between the nose and cheeks can signal suppressed emotions and the strain of too much responsibility. The Erasing Cares exercise lessens those deep lines while it enhances your ability to communicate and negotiate on your behalf.By following the simple, commonsense Timeless Face program, illustrated with clear photographs and instructions for each exercise, your face will look and feel more fit and more relaxed in just thirty days, and your entire being will be rejuvenated and revitalized.Isn't it time for you to discover the face you were meant to mature with-your own Timeless Face? ... 1-0 out of 5 stars Warning: Use this Book and You'll Look Like the Woman in the Picture
What were they thinking? This book uses 1 model and only 1 model to show how to do these facial exercises (for a younger looking face) but the model looks old with a sagging face! And really wrinkly! (And it's not the model used on the cover)

I cannot use this book because everytime I try to do the exercises I'm thinking, I'm going to end up looking like this old, wrinkly model--eek! (Is this model the author? If so, that says to me these exercises do not work, unless the woman in the book modeling the exercises is 250 years old, these exercises don't work)

5-0 out of 5 stars Great Approach to a Face and Mood Make Over
I have been doing the facial exercises and applying the author's theories to my life for a week now, and I can honestly say that there is a new awareness in my life about wearing old emotions on my face (i.e. a frozen face on top of my real face).....I find the exercises to actually be hard to do because my facial muscles are very atrophied.....I am confident by what I am feeling that these toning exercises will certainly help over time.......I relaxed my face, closed my eyes, and took a picture with a camera of my relaxed face so I could see what others were seeing.....OMG do I ever need this program!!!!!.....it is as though gravity has pulled my face to the ground......Even when I smile, I look sullen and gaunt.....I am going to remain faithful to the nth degree doing this program, and I think it will take me much longer than 30 days to see results, but I'm very eager and willing to do this....it makes soooo much sense!.....At first it was confusing to me as to how to do some of the exercises.....make sure you read Chapter 3 very thoroughly before you begin....it really helps to follow her suggestions......I also use a mirror to watch myself exercise and try to mimmick the photos in the book as best I can.....Good luck....In my opinion thus far this book is worth every dime.....I especially love the acupressure ,too....I really feel energy making its way back into my face when I work on the points....I may add more to this review in the future if I get drastic and positive results....right now I'll take anything that even remotely helps my toneless face!

4-0 out of 5 stars Great information
This book is filled with great suggestions for making a tired face look younger. You can discover why your face looks the way it does and learn how to go about improving it.The photos are most helpful and easy to follow to learn the correct way to do each exercise. After doing these exercises for a couple of weeks I can definitely say that my face looks firmer and that I feel better about my appearance.I would recommend it to any mature woman.

1-0 out of 5 stars May tone your muscles, but also causes wrinkles!
I think this book is terrible. These exericises "might" tighten some muscles of your face, but the way they are done would no doubt cause wrinkling. The descriptions of the exercises are vague such as "position your tongue and jaw".Huh?The pictures are not very good at showing you exactly which muscles you are supposed to be working either. In addition, they look ridiculous and not as though they would work the intended area. The pictures look like an out of work actress who enjoys looking at herself make faces in the mirror.I was totally disappointed.

5-0 out of 5 stars These exercises really work!
Timeless Face is an exercise program that goes much deeper than just skin care. The exercises also help emotionally.I suffer from depression and found in the past nine months of regularly doing both the facial and acupressure techniques that I feel better afterwards.I feel less tension in my face.

Just as exercise shapes and contours the body, exercise for the face can shape and contour the face. What happens when specific exercises are used for the face? The muscles become stronger and the skin becomes resilient. The user looks refreshed because the droopy skin has been revitalized.

Resistance exercise has proven to tone and lift the muscles in your body.Facial muscles are no different. They, too, firm and lift with exercise. The nine-week program introduces two easy-to-perform exercises per week that target fifteen areas of the face and neck.

This highly effective program will improve your upper eyelids, your brows, your upper cheeks and double chin, jaw line, turkey neck, wattle, vertical forehead lines and much, much more.
