The information in this manual describes a newly-developed model of an integrated aerobic conditioning program. The manual is divided into three sections. The first section contains all the 'behind-the-scenes' work that went into the development of this model. The second section contains the components for implementing the PACP; it is the 'blood and guts' of the program. Product Description
Most Americans know they should exercise -- but they don't. The number one reason? Lack of time. Now there's an answer: Quick Fit -- a daily workout that takes just 15 minutes. And it's no sweat, literally! You don't need to change your clothes first, or even shower afterward.

Quick Fit takes no more time than a coffee break, yet it provides a complete workout: Ten minutes of aerobic activity; four minutes of strengthening exercises; one minute of stretches. This program is perfect for anyone with a hectic, demanding schedule. Can 15 minutes really make a difference? Yes, according to mounting research evidence. Quick Fit is safe -- and it's effective.

This book provides everything you need to begin a more active lifestyle:

• Fully illustrated step-by-step instructions, with simple self-tests to help you customize • Exciting new information about the surprising benefits of brief workouts • Innovative suggestions for getting started -- and sticking with it • Motivating quotes from men and women who are using Quick Fit successfully

If you wish you were fitter and trimmer, but can't find time to exercise, Quick Fit is for you!Amazon.com Review
If you're a non-exerciser, Quick Fit gives you a simple, manageable program of aerobic, strength, and flexibility exercises that you can do--no kidding--in 15 minutes. With all the fitness books that promise the moon (or at least eternal slimness, youth and health), it's refreshing to have one that delivers what it says: a quick, sound program that gets you moving and gives you just enough of a workout to turn you from a lazy loafer to an energetic exerciser. Step-by-step exercises are well-illustrated and clearly described, from simple walking to abdominal crunches, a short set of strength exercises, and stretching. Motivational tips annihilate every excuse to return to the couch. Testimonials and anecdotes from people who have used the program illuminate how normal people with busy schedules and physical or emotional challenges adjust Bradley's workout to fit their lives. Richard R. Bradley III is an exercise physiologist and director of the Occupational Health and Fitness Program at the U.S. Department of Transportation. Sarah Wernick is an award-winning health writer and co-author of Strong Women Stay Young. Recommended for people who have been discouraged by workouts that were too hard, too discouraging, too time-consuming, or too boring. --Joan Price ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Excellent!
It works. Most people think that if you don't work out 20-30 minutes at high intensity a minimum of four times a week, it's not worth doing. This book intelligently outlines why that isn't true.Three great benefits of this book is that it shows you...

1.You really CAN work out 15 minutes and the author proves how it has beneficial results.

2.Great reasons to finally get off your butt and DO IT...and keep at it.

3.easy to understand instructions for the excercies:easy to follow, easy to do.

You feel really good about yourself and feel better physically.

4-0 out of 5 stars Effective Workout
yeah when I'm done,I can actually see the muscles look worked out,a decent sweat breaker and workout without overdoing it,15 minnutes, noexcuse go for it!!

5-0 out of 5 stars Still using it...
Rather than a first impression review, this is a long term review.

I bought this book about three years ago on the advice of a friend whose workplace had brought the author in for a education/training session. At first, I just started doing it off and on.But unlike other exercise programs, products and routines I've tried and discarded, as time went by, I began to increase the number of days per week that I exercised. If I fell off the wagon, the exercises were very easy to return to even if I hadn't done them in awhile. And if I had been doing them for awhile and felt like "upping the ante", it was very easy to do with these exercises.

For instance, for the aerobic portion, I jog in place (especially fun to do with a Wii Fit in Free Run mode btw) now rather than march in place or I use a platform step (a piece of exercise equipment I had otherwise long ago stopped using). For the weight lifting portion, I like using 5 or 10 pound handweights rather than the very light ones you first start off with.

These days in fact, it's rare if I don't exercise every day. Even if I'm traveling (which I do quite frequently), it is very easy to do these exercises in a hotel room (I take "water weights" with me which can be filled and emptied and which fit easily in my carry-on).

This is the only exercise program I have ever kept up for an extended period of time on a daily basis. Every other one has failed with me usually because of the time commitment the trainer/author asks you to put in.This one I can manage to actually do pretty much every day.And yes, it really is only 15 minutes (18 if you add the optional exercises).

5-0 out of 5 stars A Wonderful Plan For Fitness
I have been doing this exercise routine, or a variation thereof, for about four months now, and it has worked extremely well. This is a very simple plan, but doing just this amount every day is better for you than intermittently doing more strenuous or demanding workouts. And once you master this simple plan, there's no reason not to add on more routines/exercises.You can also do this several times a day (early morning, and then evening for me), which increases its effectiveness.

(Note: I have also been eating a largely whole grain/vegetable diet lately, so some of the fitness can be ascribed to weight loss, but not all.I think they complement each other well.)

4-0 out of 5 stars Try this before you buy yourself that expensive exercise machine.
This program is simple indeed: 10 minutes of brisk walking or simple aerobic stepping, followed by 5 minutes of strength and flexibility routines usingtwo-5 lb. dumbells.Plus lots of good motivational advice. This is the minimum program-you can expand it by speeding up the walk, adding arm movements to the steps, more weight to the dumbells, or by adding a few more strength and flexibility routines. This author makes no presumptions about your physical abilities-if you need to start working out on a bed instead of the floor, he provides you with the basic tools and urges you to get started.I bought a perfectly good copy from one of Amazon's associated stores for a few dollars: I am doing it every day, and it really works for me. ... 2-0 out of 5 stars Disappointed
I'm afraid I was disappointed in this book.I was looking for something with more illustrated exercises, perhaps using noodles.I think this book is a little outdated.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great information
This book has been very beneficial. It has provided a full range of movements for me to complete in the water.I have been doing these exercises for a few weeks now and I feel much better overall.

5-0 out of 5 stars water workout
Great book.Explains things well.My water pilates instructor had the book and felt that it was very good as well.

4-0 out of 5 stars Extremely Helpful and a lot of fun
As a total non-swimmer and out of shape middle-aged woman, I found this book extremely helpful and the exercises a lot of fun.I don't really know any swimming strokes, but love the water and found these exercises have helped me to put on some muscle and take off some weight.I have osteoarthritis in my knees, shoulder problems, neck problems, and had hurt my feet on the treadmill. With this book I was able to keep exercising.I have loved it.The only reason I didn't give it a five is because it's not water proof and needs something you can take with you to the water area, if not into the water.I found the directions easy to follow. ...
