5-0 out of 5 stars Excellent book for the money. Full of nutritional information
i like this book so much i bought it for gifts for other people. full of information (more than other books twice it's size). it seems like amazon is always running out of new editions, so you may have to buy it used. but for a convenient paperback, it's well worth it for a penny plus shipping. for the price it's good to have in your library, especially if you're into nutrition and cooking and anti-aging research.

4-0 out of 5 stars Good information
Good book about antiaging, with reference to which vitamins etc to take. Recipes included seem good, was referred to book by Realage web site.

5-0 out of 5 stars Outstanding!
This is an outstanding book, clearly written and backed with solid science (MANY pages of source notes). It will change your life if you read it, so if for some reason you don't want your life to change, don't you dare pick this book up. I think that Smith may tie with C. Norman Shealy for title of "most enlightened M.D. in the country."

5-0 out of 5 stars RENEWAL THE ANTIAGING REVOLUTION
TO WHOM CONCERN
Hi
I am very concern, because here say my stuff was shipped, and I DON{T HAVE IT YET.
i DONT KNOW WHAT IS GOING ON, i WILL APRECIATE IF YOU KNOW WHERE IS MY STUFF. BECAUSE MY CREDIT CARD HAS A PAYMENT FOR SOMETHING I DONT HAVE IT.
THIS IS NOT THE FIRST TIME I HAD PURCHASED A BOOK FROM AMAZON AND ALWAYS I HAVE RECIVED MY STUFF ON TIME.

THANK YOU FOR YOUR HELP

4-0 out of 5 stars A good starting point
This book, and subsequently the desire to research additional sources, has made a remarkable difference to the three people in my family.
One reviewer wrote that "any serious book on rejuvenation would mention phosphatidylcholine". Of course phosphatidylcholine is mentioned, along with dosage suggestions.
The reviewer may not know that phosphatidylcholine is known as lecithin, although lecithin is also a term loosely applied to describe a combination of phosphatidylcholine with other phospholipids.
As a satisfied customer and user of Smith's methodology I recommend this book. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Timeless information
Erwin Di Cyan's pocket-sized book "Vitamin E and aging" is, in my opinion, a small gem when it comes to information on vitamin E. It brings to life scientific conclusions from decades ago, still relevant today and mixes them with later research and common sense, in a way that makes obvious the healthy natural "timelessness" of the facts talked about in the book, and it is one of those books to which I find it useful to return, because it contains knowledge of the sort that takes time to digest and implement... in short: it's a GOOD BOOK... ... Product Description
Aging well is living well, say leading aging experts Dr. Jeanne Wei and Dr. Sue Levkoff, both of Harvard Medical School. But how do we define aging? What are the physical and emotional changes that men and women go through as they grow older? How can we live as well as we can as long as we can?

In Aging Well: The Complete Guide to Physical and Emotional Health, Drs. Wei and Levkoff have provided us with an impeccably researched, easy-to-use reference for all our questions about our changing bodies and life issues. From advice about caring for hair, nails, and skin to tips on dealing with an uncertain health care system to words of support for caregivers, Aging Well is a definitive reference on today's aging issues.

You'll read about people who have met the challenges associated with aging and find the authors' recommendations, with lists of resources, for dealing with the physical and emotional issues that arise. Whether you're 40, 50, or older, or care for someone who is, Aging Well is a guide you'll turn to often for the information you and your loved ones need to live longer, healthier lives.Amazon.com Review
This resource is a great help for demystifying the agingprocess and helping you maintain a good quality of life. Aging well involves"reaching for a level of physical, social, and psychologicalwell-being that is pleasant to both ourselves and others" and stayingactive in all three spheres, say the authors, who are both affiliatedwith Harvard Medical School. Aging Well presents a one-chapteroverview of recommended self-care strategies (such as exercising, eating nutritiously, quitting smoking, limiting alcohol, and beingcareful about your medications). Next it explains how to make thehealth system work for you (including choosing a health plan, controlling the paper trail, and getting the most out of your doctorvisits). Then the book zeroes in on particular health considerationsin detail, with chapters on the heart, reproductive system, mind, senses (hearing, sight, taste, smell, pain), skin, musculoskeletalsystem (bones, muscles, joints), breasts, urinary system, respiratorysystem, gastrointestinal system, and more. Each chapter explains howthat body system changes as it ages, what you can do to stay healthy, and problems that you may encounter. The writing is clear, and plentyof information is packed into each chapter. The last section,"Adapting to Life's Transitions," covers retirement, your home (makingit accident-proof, getting help with everyday activities, housingoptions, long-term care), risks and rights (fraud, maltreatment),end-of-life decision-making, bereavement, and helping your agingparents. --Joan Price ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Simply great!
I am an avid reader of books on health and I found this book to be a real gem for my library collection.
I have presented it to many of my friends over the age of 40 - for I believe that "aging well" should start early. This book has helped me and my parents, and all other relatives and friends enormously. It should be on everyone's bookshelf.

5-0 out of 5 stars A Great book
This book is an excellent reference for anyone interested in the aging process.
It is easy to read and yet provides a depth of knowledge not readily available in other books.
It is also a superb gift for anyone who enjoys life and desires to continue doing it, by aging well!

5-0 out of 5 stars A Treasure of information
I have really enjoyed reading this book. It has given me insight into the aging process from a medical and scientific point of view which very few books do. Armed with this knowledge, I feel more confident about taking care of my parents and of my own health. Thank you Dr. Jeanne Wei and Dr. Sue Levkoff for sharing with us this wealth of information!

5-0 out of 5 stars Excellent reference
This was an excellent resource for my wife and I.All aspects of aging are covered. It has help us be more educated when we discuss things with our physicians. It also has allowed us to ask appropriate questions and really get a handle on our disease.I recommened it for everyone

5-0 out of 5 stars Superb and most comprehensive
This book really is an encyclopedia of knowledge about the process of aging as well as the various diseases commonly found in older individuals. It covers every organ system in the body and even provides information on the medications used to treat the age-related disorders. The book also covers the social impact of aging, and gives a list of useful resources for assitance. It promises no magic potions for reversal of the aging process, but provides accurate and scientific information to improve one's health, no matter how frail. Aging is an invetable process, and for those of us who are realistic, this book is superb! ... Read more
