A Good overview of 1970's black politics and culture.
This book contains interviews and articles covering a wide gamut of black entertainers from the 1970's, from James DePriest, a symphony conductor, to Diana Ross.

The book contains a wide range of perspectives on race, ambition, and concepts of race biases on both white and black sides in the cultural realm.

Overall, a fair book. The interviews and articles can sometimes be a little thin for my liking, but there are a lot of references to past entertainers and areas of black culture that are often over-looked. ... Read more
