Essential for any oil/acrylic painter!!
This is a wonderful booklet it lists the essential colors to make all 450 color combinations and even contains pictures of all 450 color combinations! It also lists what colors to use for numerous things ex. various fruits,the seasons, birds, etc. This book saved me time from experimenting with colors. And money from buying alot of unnecessary paints-I just bought the paints listed and use the included grid to make any colors I want. ... Read more

I had checked this book out from the local library so often that it was getting ridiculous.It was not available in any of the bookstores nearby so I was delighted to find it on Amazon and at a great price.Alwyn Crawshaw's book would help any beginner or intermediately skilled painter with color mixing, choice of brushes, media selection, etc., and it has many charming, yet simple, scenes to paint as exercises. Good Basic Art Instruction Book
My present art instructor, Doria Grace, loaned me this book and I loved it. I bought my copy on Amazon. I use the book everyday, either drawing whats inside or reading what it has to say. States each point clearly in digestible chunks. Makes it exciting and not overbearing.

Drawing and Painting
Gave this to my 16 yr old neice and she LOVED it. Said it covered the gamut of what she wanted to do. Delivery was prompt and the book was in great condition; looked new except for the sharpie mark on the side, which I expected. I couldn't have afforded the brand new edition which was >$40. This was a great alternative.

This book is my favorite in my art library now. It is the most informative and has the easiest instructions to perform all tasks that a beginner or professional artist needs.
