This is a great book for students of ayurveda. Must use book with The Global Oracle also by Tarabilda. The only issue I have is, it does not explain how you know what your specific disease type is, nor can I find a book that does.

This book changed my life!
As an Ayurveda practitioner for the last nine years I highly recommend this book which offers a new slant on this ancient system of healing. This book changed my thinking about Ayurveda, and truly "revolutionized" the way I work with clients. In it, the author claims to have rediscovered a more ancient system of Ayurveda that goes back to a time when Ayurveda and a True Science Of The Stars were one system. This system focuses less on Constitution, and instead places emphasis on the way the body goes out of balance, which he calls the Seven Disease Tendencies. This is a controversial book because it challenges our assumptions about Ayurveda, but if approached with an open mind it could yield great riches for you.

One of my favorite books on health
I am a holistic nutritionist and have read tons of health books.This is one of my favorites and one I lend out to clients all the time.Wonderful, easy to understand explanations of Ayurveda and women's health and hormonal changes in aging.

Interesting but Not Particularly Useful
Pervading Indian mish mosh here, which, if you are Scandinavian you may prefer to be spared the guruvian (read: groovy) philosophy and just hit on the useful pre and postmenopausal treatments.However, it appears that they CANNOT be separated in this book.Down to nuts and bolts then; the practical way to menopausal relief is primarily through diet and exercise (plus various Indian herbs) - same as ALL the other "natural method" books I've read on this subject. Regardless of how you wrap that advice, it sounds like your mother with her finger pointed in your face as a teenager going through puberty.She tells you the acne is from too much chocolate, chips or pop, or something similar.Those of us struggling with HARD, HORRIFIC menopausal symptoms would LOVE something just a little quicker and more effective than "eat right and exercise."IF, indeed, committing to eating right and exercising IS the ONLY resolution to the entire menopausal midlife trauma...why not sum it up in one sentence and send us on our mirthless way???

This is an excellent and innovative book. To maintain our health with Maharishi Ayurveda makes perfect sense.

I am 50
As I just turned 50 I am looking for information regarding menopause and all the phases a woman around my age goes through. This book started with a lot of information about Ayurveda which I am not really interested in. The rest of the content of the book is good with general information about being healthy and keeping life simple and uncomplicated.

Great book!
This is a very well researched classical approach to the use of gemstones in the ancient sciences of India.
It would still be best to have a qualified teacher if you are interested in putting this information to use, but it is a great text to support study.

This is a guide to optimising physical and psychological well-being through the use of gemstones, with reference to the disciplines of Tantra an Ayurveda. The author discusses how Indian astrologers, Ayurvedic healers and Tantric alchemists use gems in their practices and provides clear instructions for the creation of gemstone talismans and the performanc of rituals involving gems to bring about desired effects. The book serves as both a practical guide to the subtle nature of gemstones and as an overview of their use through the ages. The introduction looks at gemstones and the human race and gems and astrology, while Part 2 deals with particular stones and their ruling planets: ruby, pearl, coral, emerald, yellow sapphire, diamond, blue sapphire, hessonite and cat's eye. Fantastic!
This is a fabulous book. I have given it to every pregnant friend and they all love it. It clearly explains all of the little things you can do during pregnancy to minimize stress on the baby. And much much more. Buy it - it's wonderful.

Amazing
There are two books that you have to have the second you know you are pregnant. One is of course what to expect when you are expecting, and the second one is this amazing book. It helps you enjoy every bit of your pregnancy and realize that we have been blessed with a wonderful gift.

A magical book
This is a book that makes you feel more envolve in your pregnancy, in a way that is forgotten. You learn to connect whith your baby naturaly, with meditattion, yoga, drawing, writting and much more. You feel much more confortable and much less afraid because you understand that this is the most beautiful journey of your life!

Loved intro, book was so-so
The introduction I read was amazing and was the reason I purchased the book.But after reading it I was a bit disappointed it seemed to lack the "magical" aspect I was looking forward to.Pretty basic info for a healthy pregnancy none the less.

Numerology: With Tantra, Ayurveda, and Astrology
The book was well received by the recipient in pristine condition and appreciated for the timeliness.

An Alternative View of Numerology
This is a system of Numerology that has been known for ages. Unfortunately, it has been largely lost in the West, but is still practiced in India. If one has the number that is clearly seen on one's date of birth showing up in one's life, this book can explain it. It even has a different letter/number system for adding up the letters in your name, one that is reminicent of "Cheiro's Book of Numbers". If you can find a copy of the Cheiro book, I recommend it, as well as the late Mr. Johari's book. Harish Johari's book is easier to obtain most likely, so I recommend getting it first.

A New Way for looking at numbers
A Very well written book on Numerology(Hats ofShri Harish). Adds totally a new dimension to looking at relationship between any two numbers (Which is fundamental to any numerological interpretation/analysis in any system)thus enriching any reading/interpretaion of numbers.I wish a few more people come forward and write more books on esoteric system's of nuemrology.

I just purchased this book. you will see exactly what dosha you are. most of us are all three. I have learned to reconise exactly the time I go into a different dosha.

A "Must Have" Book on Relationships!!!
Lissa's book is IT! I never thought that when I got this book I would be so intrigued by the concept of Ayurveda and how accurate it is. Lissa does a great job at explaining how to relate with the different people in our life according to everyone's dosha.

Reading through this book, I felt like I was being introduces to the ancient wisdom of Ayurveda by an old time friend. Lissa's writes is warm way making this something that every one of us can relate to. This has helped me understand more of myself and those around me.

I highly recommend this book!!! I have given this as a present to several friends and they have all enjoyed it greatly :)
