Une procédure moins lourde est chargée en cas de redémarrage à chaud ou pour faire plus simple un CTRL+ALT+DEL parce que mon pc a planté ! :-) Notez également que le Reset bien que redémarrant également la machine à chaud, est considéré comme une mise sous tension. Il s'en suivra donc que le POST sera chargé malgré tout. Bref, une fois le POST terminé, une comparaison est faite avec la dernière copie du CMOS Setup. C'est en fait la partie du BIOS paramétrable par l'utilisateur qui contient notamment la configuration de la machine. Si une différence est trouvée (un ajout de disque dur par exemple), un message vous invitera à aller en modifier les options pour se conformer aux tests matériels.
