Product Description
This report was created for global strategic planners who cannot be content with traditional methods of segmenting world markets. With the advent of a "borderless world", cities become a more important criteria in prioritizing markets, as opposed to regions, continents, or countries. This report covers the top 2000 cities in over 200 countries. It does so by reporting the estimated market size (in terms of latent demand) for each major city of the world. It then ranks these cities and reports them in terms of their size as a percent of the country where they are located, their geographic region (e.g. Africa, Asia, Europe, Middle East, North America, Latin America), and the total world market.

In performing various economic analyses for its clients, I have been occasionally asked to investigate the market potential for various products and services across cities. The purpose of the studies is to understand the density of demand within a country and the extent to which a city might be used as a point of distribution within its region. From an economic perspective, however, a city does not represent a population within rigid geographical boundaries. To an economist or strategic planner, a city represents an area of dominant influence over markets in adjacent areas. This influence varies from one industry to another, but also from one period of time to another.

In what follows, I summarize the economic potential for the world's major cities for "camping and outdoor stamped and spun aluminum cooking equipment" for the year 2009. The goal of this report is to report my findings on the real economic potential, or what an economist calls the latent demand, represented by a city when defined as an area of dominant influence. The reader needs to realize that latent demand may or may not represent real sales. ... Read more

High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles! A portable stove is a cooking stove specially designed to be portable and lightweight, as for camping or picnicking, or for use in remote locations where an easily transportable means of cooking or heating is needed ? in situations as diverse as a field hospital or for food service and catering. Since the invention of the portable stove in the 19th century, a wide variety of designs and models has seen use in a number of different applications. Portable stoves can be broken down into several broad categories based on the type of fuel used and stove design: unpressurized stoves that use solid or liquid fuel placed in the burner before ignition; stoves that use a volatile liquid fuel in a pressurized burner; bottled gas stoves; and gravity-fed "spirit" stoves. ... Product Description
This econometric study covers the world outlook for camping and outdoor stamped and spun aluminum cooking equipment across more than 200 countries. For each year reported, estimates are given for the latent demand, or potential industry earnings (P.I.E.), for the country in question (in millions of U.S. dollars), the percent share the country is of the region and of the globe. These comparative benchmarks allow the reader to quickly gauge a country vis-a-vis others. Using econometric models which project fundamental economic dynamics within each country and across countries, latent demand estimates are created. This report does not discuss the specific players in the market serving the latent demand, nor specific details at the product level. The study also does not consider short-term cyclicalities that might affect realized sales. The study, therefore, is strategic in nature, taking an aggregate and long-run view, irrespective of the players or products involved. This study does not report actual sales data (which are simply unavailable, in a comparable or consistent manner in virtually all of the 230 countries of the world). This study gives, however, my estimates for the worldwide latent demand, or the P.I.E., for camping and outdoor stamped and spun aluminum cooking equipment. It also shows how the P.I.E. is divided across the world's regional and national markets. For each country, I also show my estimates of how the P.I.E. grows over time (positive or negative growth). In order to make these estimates, a multi-stage methodology was employed that is often taught in courses on international strategic planning at graduate schools of business. ... Read more

Product Description
This econometric study covers the latent demand outlook for camping and outdoor stamped and spun aluminum cooking equipment across the prefectures and cities of Japan. Latent demand (in millions of U.S. dollars), or potential industry earnings (P.I.E.) estimates are given across some 1,000 cities in Japan. For each city in question, the percent share the city is of it's prefecture and of Japan is reported. These comparative benchmarks allow the reader to quickly gauge a city vis-a-vis others. This statistical approach can prove very useful to distribution and/or sales force strategies. Using econometric models which project fundamental economic dynamics within each prefecture and city, latent demand estimates are created for camping and outdoor stamped and spun aluminum cooking equipment. This report does not discuss the specific players in the market serving the latent demand, nor specific details at the product level. 1-0 out of 5 stars Not for the small RV
If you have a 40-foot RV with all the comforts of home and are a full time RVer, then maybe this book is for you.For anyone with a small RV, it is a waste of money. Yes, she lists equipment (16 different baking pans, coffee grinder, etc)and supples (7 extracts in addition to vanilla, hearts of palm and on and on)."My basic equipment list includes 36 items" but she doesn't bother to indicate what they are from the two page list.Who needs 7 pages of appetizers and a half dozen recipes for yeast breads? I would be better served using my old time tried Betty Crocker or BH&G cookbooks. Just because it says RV in the title, does not make it truly a RV cookbook for most of us.

5-0 out of 5 stars 108 "no-fuss" menus
RV's are noted for their built-in kitchens -- and the limited space accommodations those kitchens are restricted with. In addition to 381 simple and delicious "RV kitchen friendly" recipes, America's Best RV Cookbook: The Complete Guide To RV Cooking also includes 108 "no-fuss" menus; equipment and supplies selection advice; substitutions and equivalents; metric conversions; dealing with limited storage space; cooking in challenging environments and climates; and even how to cope with quirky RV ovens and refrigerators! If you have an RV, then you have an RV kitchen, and you need your very own copy of Joyce Ryan's America's Best RV Cookbook! ... Read more

If you have always wanted to learn about skillet cooking, this is the book for you.A wealth of information is included on all aspects of skillet cooking from shaking the skillet, features of a good skillet, to sweetening the skillet. And I never knew there were so many skillet cooking techniques, but they are all explained here.Common terms are described as well as other not so familiar terms including sweating, trying out and parboiling. After reading this cookbook, I realized how much I did not know about skillet cooking.

Proper utensils to incorporate with skillet cooking are covered, for every skillet chef needs a wooden spoon and at least one spatula. Different ways to move the skillet around while cooking to achieve different results such as swirling, flipping, tilting and tapping are also discussed.Several possible skillet oils and the uses of each are explained too.

A section I found most important was that of skillet safety. My own perception of skillet cooking has always been that it can be unsafe, dangerous and unhealthy. All the various possible injuries are covered along with the proper way to handle each situation.A word of warning--skillet cooking is a full-time job, especially one on high heat. And most of us have heard to never leave a skillet handle sticking over the edge of the stove, especially if children are on the floor in the vicinity.

Most of the recipes are short, easy, and can be prepared in camp or on a tailgate, as well as in the home kitchen.Success in skillet cooking is related more to technique than to a long list of special ingredients, for it is a hands-on type of cooking. You will find that by and large there is a great deal of repetition as far as ingredients are concerned, so mastering the technique is the challenge but definitely worthwhile and entirely possible.

Those who love to skillet cook should enjoy the variety of recipes included. If it can be prepared in a skillet, you will most likely find it here. The book claims to contain more than 101 modern and old-time recipes for jackleg cooks and practical housewives. How true! And for those wanting to learn to skillet cook, you should be able to obtain a good education on this type of cooking.I wholeheartedly recommend Skillet Cooking for Camp and Kitchen.I received my copy of the book with the intention of eventually handing it over to my husband and son who camp and cook often with the Boy Scouts.I may change my mind and add the cookbook to my recipe shelf!

4-0 out of 5 stars Practical book!
This book is really practical, I enjoyed the intro and the recipes are awesome.I met John at Boy Scout camp this summer and he has a vast wealth of practical knowledge.Applying it to backpacking trips and making it work for a group of people with the least amount of waste and weight is what's it's all about.

5-0 out of 5 stars A stained, well-used camping companion
We've made excellent use of our copy of The Wilderness Chef. The book is focused on one-pot backpacking meals, usually made with non-perishable meat or meat substitutes and just-add-water dairy, fruit, and vegetables. The huge advantage of this is that you can prep several meals weeks before your trip, and then store them for when you want to go camping at the last minute. The description emphasizes the baking meals, but the book has a huge section on dinners / cooked lunches, and we mostly make those recipes.

One criticism is that sometimes the author tries to explain the mix or product to use, but without using the commercial name brand, it can be hard to find the right product. But it's worth the effort; we have yet to try a recipe we didn't love. The recipes were obviously tested before being put in the book.

I've found it's best to know the location of the natural foods sections of a few different stores to find everything used in the recipes, like dried peas, dried tomatoes; we don't own a food dehydrator. We've also tried using less than the recommended amount of bullion. There's room on most recipe pages to take notes about changes to modify the recipes to your taste. We've recommended the book to other backpackers. ... Read more
