Festive Holiday Read!
This was a wonderful Elsie book with many thrills in it.
Again, like the last few books, the story centers on Lulu Raymond---Elsie's granddaughter.

The holidays have arrived and all of the family has grouped together at Grandma Elsie's house for the fun. There's snowball fights, sleigh rides, charades, stories, and other amusement provided by ventriloquist, Cousin Ronald. There's even quite a bit of suspense!

The book closes after some of the most dramatic events draw to an end. But I'm left longing to continueinto the next book.
I enjoyed each and every chapter, as something new is always happening.

a little gem
This is my favorite Toot and Puddle book (my 2yr old loves all of them equally so far). I love the simplicity of the story; how many things Puddle does to try to cheer up Toot, the fact that it's a rain storm that finally does it really hits home with me and I love thinking that it will teach my kids that there are so many things that can make you feel good, even something that other people don't expect.We have a family joke of calling any super yummy treat a "five-berry cobbler". It seems so decadent, yet so easily created in the story.It's a great, feel-good, beautifully illustrated book that kids just adore.

My Favorite Toot & Puddle
My 4 year old daughter and I are big fans of pigs, especially Toot and Puddle.In this story, Toot is depressed, and Puddle and Tulip try everything to make him feel better.It is a very sweet and endearing story of friendship.

A Story of Friendship
Toot is moping in Woodcock Pocket.Puddle his friend want to help his friend smile.He tries repeatedly to help his friend.He never gives up until his friend smiles.

Puddle explains to Tulip, we can't be happy all the time.This is good for children to learn at a young age.It could prevent some major problems in the child's life later.

A perfect story about friendship for allages
I was looking for a gift for my god daughter and my best friend recommended the Toot and Puddle series. She already had the first book and raved about it to me. Not only did I purchase this book for one smart little girl who loves Toot and Puddle, but I purchased two more books from the series for my baby on the way. What I absolutely loved about this book is the extent of friendship between these two adorable pigs, one that reminds me of the deep and loving relationship i share with my best friend.I was so impressed with Holly Hobbie's portrayal of this beautiful relationship, as well as her amazing illustrations that I would recommend this particular book and the rest of the series to children of all ages as well as the adult population, for the joy I got out of it is inexplicable. I can happily say that my best friend and I not only share a love for Toot and Puddle, but that our babies will grow up appreciating its beauty and story about friendship too.

Uplifting - a Beautiful Book
This was the first Toot and Puddle we ever saw, and it's still our favorite. The message(s) is (are) important - and all too rare in children's books - that we aren't all cheerful and happy all the time, andthat's OK, that we all need the steady faith and support of dear friends,that STORMY weather isn't necessarily "bad" weather and can berenewing.We adore Toot and Puddle and Holly Hobbie's art, which I wouldhappily display in my living room if I could find some prints from theworld of Toot and Puddle. ...
