Do not buy this book
The best thing about this book is the picture on the cover. It is not worth the money. I use to trust Leisure Arts. This is a book with few pages and no instructions.

Instructions were nor clear. I still did not thouroughly understand how to connect the motifs. Not enough patterns for the price of the book.

No visuals and no Knitting
Horrible book if you are interested in knitting.. as there is no knitting in the whole book!Why even have that in the title?
As to crochet... there are no pictures at all.This is not going to help the new crocheter and I would not recommend this
book.
Put your 4.99 to better use... like a new crochet hook.

This book is very basic and very short!If you download the sample, you will see a list of chapters which make it look as though there is a lot of content, but some of those "chapters" aren't even a page long.

I rented this dvd at my local library. I have been crochetting for a couple of years now but still only know just a few basic stiches. I usually watch videos on youtube but I came across this dvd at my local library and decided to give it a try. I watched it and the dvd is very up-to-date and easy to understand. If I were a first-time crochetter I would find it pretty easy to pick up and definitely find it more simple than trying to learn to crochet from a book. Excellent book.
