5-0 out of 5 stars Excellent resource for fathers
This book is an excellent resource for men who want to better raise their children, and become better fathers. It teaches how we can become wiser in a world that is content with dumbing us down and how to stand up for our beliefs and what is right. It uses the Bible as its resource and the examples of wise Biblical leaders such as Solomon. It's easy to read and undertand, and I definitely recommend it.

4-0 out of 5 stars Fatherhood is Forever
This is not a study of Proverbs but a study of Christian fatherhood issues for men who have chosen or considering that worldview. In that case FFF would be a great tool for a young men's discipleship study or a father - son study. A hardback copy would be an excellent gift idea. The book is filled with fun, colorful illustrations that make reading easy. The author deals with the usual social ills of words, sex, temper, alcohol, money, work and friends. The strategy of the outline should not be overlooked: What is fatherhood? What are the issues? What will you do? As a father, leader and discipler of four (now seven) children and grandfather of five, this will certainly be a top shelf reference in my library. Men who understand and are in the game should strongly consider this book. If the cover picture doesn't hook you, don't buy it. ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Book
This is a wonderful book. One of the teachers on my job told us that we should purchase this book because it could really help us.Everything is differentiating today in the classroom. So this book is a great help for teachers.I recommend all teachers get it. I received my book so fast.

5-0 out of 5 stars A Must Have for all Teachers!
Laura Robb's book is a tremendous and indispensable tool in the classroom. Robb gives clear examples and personal experiences from real classrooms of how differentiation (teaching different students at different levels using a variety of reading material and assignments)can and must be considered first and foremost as teachers develop and implement lessons.
Robb's passion for teaching shines in this book as she describes her teaching adventures. As found on page 66 of the book, Robb writes, as a student connects to the lesson, "Wow! I thought to myself and mentally waltzed around the room.Yes, these students got it!"This inspirational writing generates excitement for all teachers and creates the desire to go into the classroom and try it out for themselves so they too may "waltz" through their classrooms engaging each and every one of their students! ... Product Description
"Teach Your Granny to Text" is the children's sequel to "Change the World for a Fiver", the bestseller produced by the global social change movement, We Are What We Do. It's a movement whose aim is to inspire people - in this case children - to use their everyday actions to change the world. Their maxim is: small actions X lots of people = big change. It's not rocket science but it does work! The thirty actions in this book will be fun and easy for children to do but will add up to making a big difference and giving them the responsibility for changing the world, one bit at a time.We Are What We Do began life in the UK as a project of the charity Community Links, an innovative inner city charity running community-based projects in east London. The charity's founder, David Robinson, had the original idea after 25 years as a community worker in east London where he saw both the need for change and the power of people coming together to make it happen. David was joined by a small development group which included people from the creative industries, business, the voluntary sector and government.Among this group was Eugenie Harvey, an Australian with a background in communications and marketing. Shortly after meeting David and joining the group, she quit her job and joined as a volunteer to develop the project. ... Read more

2-0 out of 5 stars Disappointed -
The story is cute no doubt, but I was disappointed in the content. The story does nothing to teach a child WHY it is wrong to lie. It merely gives a scenario of what happened in this particular situation with this particular child. The little girl in Pinky Promise felt guilty about telling a lie and she confessed on her own, but there are a number of children who lie as easily as they breathe and they feel no remorse for it. This book will teach nothing to children like that.

I actually felt cheated out of my $7.95 - I will continue to look for a book that does a better job of explaining why it is morally wrong to lie to other people.

5-0 out of 5 stars Wonderful teaching tool!
I purchased this book because I was having a difficult time explaining to my daughter, who is 6, exactly what the word lying meant. She was adopted from China at the age of 4, and while she is doing very well with English, she still gets confused on occasion with different terms, phrases, etc. This book was perfect!!!I also have a five year old daughter. It was amazing because the girls' names in the book were the same names as my daughters!Yes, the girls loved that. The book was short, sweet and to the point. It keeps your child's interest and is a story they will enjoy reading over and over again.

5-0 out of 5 stars Pinky Promise
A great book to share with your little ones - my 3 year old and I started "pinkies honor" or "pinkies promise" and this helps explain the concept of telling the truth.Great book, great photos, and easy to read and understand for the little ones!

5-0 out of 5 stars Little Madison learns how much better it feels to be honest
Pinky Promise finds that while five-year-old Madison didn't mean to break the camera, she still didn't want to get in trouble for it, so she lied when her mom asked what happened. But then she began to feel guilty, her stomach hurts and she can't eat. But with the help of her parents and her favorite stuffed bear, little Madison learns how much better it feels to be honest.

5-0 out of 5 stars ChildPsychiatristhas created a"MUST READ" Series!
"Pinky Promise" is Vanita Braver MD'sfirst children's book in thenine picture book "Teach Your Children Well" series. The series entertains and reassures children that they are loved and supported as they undergo impish real-life crises, and in addition--no small feat in itself--helps parents model their own mature responses to their children's mischief. The stories are sweetly amusing as adventures, but educational too as illustrations of the dilemmas and temptations that are part of every child's day. What is especially wise and consoling is the author's emphasis that moral trouble and moral redemption are not abstract commandments but aspects of living, intimate relationships. By placing human devotion and honesty at the center of ethical dramas, this series helps readers open their hearts to greater communication and trust between parent and child.

5-0 out of 5 stars Open your mind and heart before you open this book!
All Things Equal is a mind-blower if you are narrow minded and stodgy in your sacred "religious" beliefs. Author Kim Wilson's obvious love of God and passion for scriptural truth, combined with her scholarly biblical documentation and exceptional writing skills make this book a must-read for any couple seeking divine guidance in their lives. She takes the non-traditional Christian viewpoint and stance that the husband and wife are equal and one in their relationship with God and each other. The old "the man is the head of the house, and the wife shall serve him well" adage is thoroughly and convincingly debunked astruly NOT BIBLICAL! A bold undertaking indeed, and very well done, I must say.

I enjoyed the book thoroughly, and even read it through a second time. I would think it would make a good manual to keep in the home library to reference whenever those inevitable domestic conflicts occur and two people who are in love with each other and God need a bit of counsel to know the right way to move forward in His Way. This is really good God stuff!
