Interested volunteers are asked to call the business office for details about volunteer opportunities. Volunteers should be willing to commit a minimum of 4 hrs/wk for one year, and undergo a training process. Description: SACS works with survivors of sexual assault and their families. It offers a 24 hour hotline, short-term counseling, support groups, hospital, police and court accompaniment, advocacy and community education. Opportunities for volunteers include answering hotline calls, helping with projects in the office, and aiding the community educator by representing SACS at community events. Volunteers must complete 30 hour training and attend 4 in-services per year to maintain certification. Hours are flexible.
