I have been using this book as one of my main reference sources ever since it came out. I highly recommend it. Although I wish for a new updated edition. I hope there is one in the making!

The RHS Index is a must for any hort library.Taxonomy has changed so much in recent years that Hortus Third has long been obsolete.I found this book to be indispensible in my research, aiding me in confidentlynaming thousands of plants.A real bonus is that RHS has alphabeticallyinterspersed common names throughout the latin entries.No more flippingto the back for a separate index!Worth twice the price.
