An excellent work of juvenile literature
This is an excellent children's book.Any parent with an aspiring aviation enthusiast should pick up the entire series of Bill Sweetman's children's books.One who would pick up this book expecting it to be a serious technical book, the definitive word on MH-53's, will be disappointed, however if one understands this is a children's book, they will be most pleased.Excellent work!

Disappointing treatment of a very interesting subject
Published for the juvenile market, this title offers little more than cursory information in its meager number of pages. Anyone looking for detailed information about past MH-53 missions or comprehensive pictorial reference material will not find it here. The selection and quality of photographs is especially weak. ... A special attempt is made to relate helicopter aerodynamics to airplane aerodynamics for those who are making the transition. Excellent book for young future pilots
Lots of information on a wide variety of different types of planes.
I would recommend it for grades 1-6. Although, I'm reading it to my 5 year old nephew and he is doing fine.Lots of big illustrations.Short pieces of information make it easy to digest. I also bought the DK big book of airplanes, but I like this one better.The DK gives too much specific information about each plane, and isn't as interesting.

Good book!
My 2 yr old son loves this book after seeing a real plane. He is already learning the parts of planes and corrected me when I said that the propellar is the rudder. The book just gives some basic information on different kinds of planes and helicopters with good illustrations. It is great for a toddler who likes machines. ... Read more

My five year old son and three year old daughter still ask for this library book we loaned many times over. So many current children's books fill in all the details for kids, failing to challenge them, whereas Harry's flight of fancy in decidely low tech cardboard toy gives high calibur pleasure for budding imaginations.
