5-0 out of 5 stars Awesome
If you like spicy food, this cookbook is a must. The recipes are wonderful, the additional info on chilis and curries is great. This is easily my #1 cookbook.I am here to get a new copy, because my old one is in such bad shape after being used so much.

5-0 out of 5 stars Favorite cookbook
I have never cooked a recipe from this book that wasn't a huge success. It is definitely one of my top ten essential cookbooks.I especially like her rating system for spicyness (one to five chiles) which allows me to modify recipes for children and heat-challenged guests. ... Read more

1-0 out of 5 stars The book never came
This book showed"in Stock".I ordered it along with another cook book as a birthday gift.Because they were to "ship together", both books failed to arrive in time for the birthday.I waited and waited. Finally after contacting customer service, I was told this book was never available. They shipped the other one anyway.I had already purchased it locally.Anyone need an Rachelle Ray cookbook?I have an extra one.

4-0 out of 5 stars Hotheads Delight!
Fire eaters rejoice! This is a fantastic book for both dedicated hotheads and those with a less fiery palate. Recipes are grouped by main heat inducing ingredient, and are also rated on a hottness scale of 1 to 10. Although a few of the ingredients may take some searching to procure, most are readily available at larger supermarkets or ethic grocery stores. There are full color photos for many of the recipes, and the layout is quite user-friendly. This cookbook provides recipes which quite literally run the gamut from soup to nuts and everything in between. Who would have imagined that chili peppers could provide a nice kick to a dessert course? Or that ice cream could bring a little "heat" to the end of a meal! With the help of this excellent book even more timid cooks can put some flash in their pans! ... Read more

The Best of Singapore's Recipes: Hot & Spicy Treats is a collection of rich, fiery Asian favourites so beloved of Singaporeans. Being an excellent Peranakan cook herself, the late Mrs Leong excelled particularly in hot and spicy dishes. This collection of 67 recipes are largely from Indian, Peranakan and Malay cuisines, with some Chinese and Thai concoctions. A wider variety of spices are used in the recipes, resulting in redolent, fragrant dishes - comfort food for many generations of Singaporeans. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Add a Dash of Spice and Heat the Oven!
This book, like the best of cookbooks is easy, practical and lots of fun! Just pick your favorite recipe and add spice to your own taste.I especially enjoy giving this book as a bridal shower gift. The bridealways gets a kick out of it and of course it causes a howl from the othershower guests.Of course, if you're a guy, don't forget it makes a greatstocking stuffer gift. You could have a Christmas Eve or New Year's thatblows the oven!

5-0 out of 5 stars It was good for me; I'm sure it will be good for you!
It's an easy, fun, fast read.A jumpstart to re-heat, re-ignite the fun, the naughty, the sexy and the sweet in your sex life!

Something for everyone -- and many different somethings along the way.My husband and Ienjoyed it, my girlfriends love it as a gift (weddings, baby showers, engagement, birthdays and yes, even Christmas) the only ones I haven'tbought it for yet are my clients.I have to draw the line somewhere.

Wasit good for you?I'll look forward to my gift reviews . . .

4-0 out of 5 stars Dogbreath doesn't know have a romantic bone in his body!
Recipes for Hot Sex - I found it to be a a light hearted exercise to reinforce and re-ignite the fires that burn within each one of us.

These "chef's" have put together a list of ingredients that add to thepleasures of making love and being loved. Some of the recipes I'm sureyou've thought of, but it makes them worth trying when the two of you needto follow the directions in black and white! I've found that sometimestrying to find that certain spice to heat up your Noche di Amore' can bedifficult if you don't know where to look or don't remember. For the mildto the almost wild - there is a great recipe for everyone.

This book istruly a great "coffee table" book and it is one of my favoritebooks to give as gifts. My friends have bought it and pass it on to theirother friends too!

1-0 out of 5 stars Save your money, I'd give it ZERO stars if I could.
I don't know WHAT book the previous reviewers read, but it obviously WAS not, and COULD not have been the same.

First, the book is a small 8" X 5" in size with 157 pages. 157 pages ofLARGEtype andmany that are half filled.(several are totally blank) The beginning 50pages are a joke in self help exercises and nutrition. Pushups anyone?? Oh,PLEASE!!!! All in all this book condensed would fill at most 75pages.

Ahhh, they say you don't pay for size, but rather the informationcontained within! Sorry, it falls WAAAAAAAY short there too. Very, veryelementry stuff here folks. You have probably already dreamed most of itup, and if you haven't you should have!!

I expected 157 pages FILLED with"HOT Recipies". What I got was fodder for my recycle bin. Too bad...it has a great title! Steer clear of this one.Laura Corns books are abetter value. IMO

5-0 out of 5 stars Great book to put the lust back into any relationship!
It's about time that someone wrote a book that cuts right to the core of sexual relationships. I found this book not to hold back on any punches and gets right to the heart of what is so wonderful about having sex andpleasing your mate. Breakfast in bed will never mean quite the same thingto us anymore. No matter how long you have been with your lover this bookwill open your eyes to ideas that you may never have realized in the past.Think you having great sex?So did I!Dr Joan Irvine and Jeanne Ernstshould have a monument erected somewhere. Thank you for having this bookonline and you can be sure that we will search for any other collections bythese wonderful authors. ... Read more

In a world where healthy eating is becoming more and more important this cookbook is wonderful. If you are a fan of hot and spicy food and want to eat less meat in your diet this is the cookbook for you.The first recipein the book is for a Rich Vegetable Stock which is used in the majorityofthe recipes and tastes good alone as well. The recipes don't just comefrom Mexico but from the Carribean, Southeast Asia, and India, for example. The vegetables and spices blend together perfectly for a spicely, tangyflavor.I have not found a bad recipe. With each recipe it is explainedyou can vary the amounts of certain ingredients to change the taste or heatof the dish.I ate some wonderful beer cheese soup at a restaurant inColorado once. With the Cheesy Chipotle Soup I can enjoy this soup athome. This is not a recipe book that I purchased and sits on the shelfused once a year.I make one to three of the recipes each week.I loveit. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars The Secret Is In The Sauce
I believe that natural wholesome food is the only way to go. With these recipes you can find a way to prepare chicken wings that will be healthy and more delicious than any take out options. I like the different variations and sauce and spice combinations. I was even able to make a vegan version by combining all of the ingredients, but using a meat substitute instead of real chicken. But even if you use real chicken the quality of the meat is up to you. You can have this super party snack and know that it is wholesome and fresh only using the best ingredients available. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Preparing noodles Asian style
One of my great joys is collecting unique cookbooks, then taking one out, sitting down to look through every page, and deciding something new to prepare. Today was The Noodle Cookbook's turn. First, let me describe the book.

There is a picture of a rustic noodle house with long strands of noodles drying from the rafters. Pictures show types of noodles and how they look according to cooking times. Others show how to deep fry to make crispy noodles. Types of woks, seven cutting techniques, then a glossary which defines cooking ingredients, such as kamaboko (Japanese fish cake), nori (blackish-green seaweed dried into paper thin sheets), and wasabi (Japanese horseradish grown in only clean water).

Recipes are divided into categories: hot noodle soups, cold noodle dishes, stir-fried noodles, and noodles with toppings.

Some samples dishes include Ramen with Wakame. Wakame is a a type of seaweed, nutritious, full of minerals and trace elements, and calorie-free. The recipe follows in the Comment section. The photo shows a very attractive layering and sectioning of ingredients sitting on a bowl of noodles.

Most of the recipes have full-page, almost in-your-face prepared dishes. Each plate is different, each soup spoon. Ramen with Crab Omelet looks really tasty and sits on a black plate with gold designs of fish swimming along the outer rim. Matching chopsticks rest on a white, designed chopstick holder.

Here's another stunning dish: Miso Udon Stew. Big chunks of several items crowd each other out in the broth. Here's another: Chilled Egg Noodles with Chicken and Peanut Sauce. What a gorgeous preparation is Stir-Fried Egg Noodles with Yakisoba Sauce. (Yakisoba is a brown sauce used in Japan and is made up of brown sauce, light soy sauce, tomato catsup, oyster sauce, and sugar.)

Singapore Spicy Noodles look like Fried Rice, but juicier. And my favorite recipe: Thai Fried Rice-Stick Noodles with flavors of roasted peanuts and small chiles. Malaysian Egg Noodles with Chicken and Shrimp also combine unique flavors to create an attractive dish. How about Crispy Vermicelli with Chicken and Mango.

We began this review with the idea of preparing a special meal for intimate friends. We will start with green salad and Asian Sesame Dressing, then go to Ramen with Wakame, (a soup) and our main dish is Malaysian Egg noodles with Chicken and Shrimp. Hot green tea and saki will served as drinks. Dessert is simple: a small block of sweetened bean curd. The French will say: Bon appetit! The Chinese say nothing--it is assumed that one will enjoy the food. However, Indonesians and Malays say Selamat Makan! ... Read more
