"We're frustrated," Henry said. "It was nice to be able to say, 'You guys passed the law, this is what it is like in the trenches.'" Charter school supporters also attended the meeting and gave their side of the issue. Liberty Charter board member Bart McKnight pointed out that it might be best for charter schools to fall under a different jurisdiction than the local school board. "We've bent over backwards trying to fulfill all the requirements," McKnight said of the disagreements and multiple requests for information by Nampa district leaders.
