FYI...FOURTEENTH EDITION
Just so you all know, this is the fourteenth edition, not the current fifteenth. If your prof requires the fifteenth, you'll be sending this back.

Buy the 13th edition if you need the 14th!
Hey everybody! We're all looking for a little break on the price of textbooks right? Sometimes buying an old edition is a little scary b/c you never know how far off it will be from the new one? Well, this is your lucky day b/c I took the plunge and sprung for the old edition. Guess what--The old edition is, at most, 3 pages off from the 14th all the way through chapter 18 (b/c that's as far as we got, but I'd be it's the same the rest of the way too!). Granted, problems were switched around, though rarely, and maybe the numbers in the problems would be different, again, rarely, but it literally took me just minutes to update entire "parts" (chunks of chapters). If you're looking to save a buck, buy the 13th edition and spend an extra few minutes in your school's library. Happy shopping! This is definitely one of those times it's worth it.

Easy to use for both a practitioner and a layman
This was written by three of my former professors at the School of Taxation at the University of Florida. The text mirrors why I enjoyed their classes and took 38 hours under them. It puts a rather complicated IRS Code interpretation into easy to understand practical applications.

Difficult To Understand The Main Issues
This text includes cases that involve a lot of the accounting numbers without a lot of explanation about the tax principles that were used in deriving the numbers. The best supplement I have found is the Eighth Edition Federal Income Taxation supplement by Stephen Lind and David Hudson put out by the Black Letter Series by the West Group recommended by my professor which was written by one of the authors of the casebook. ... Do not expect to ever recieve your book
I ordered a book from this seller on July 24th. After 10 days, my book had still not been shipped so I sent an email to the seller to which I received no reply. After another week and a half, I sent another email to the seller letting them know that my classes were starting soon and that I would have to buy the book from another source unless I received an assurance from them that my book would be shipped immediately. Again, I received no reply. I was forced to buy the book at over twice the cost from the book store at my school because I could not afford to wait another week for a copy to be shipped from another amazon seller. Obviously, I am extremely unhappy with this seller. This person represents everything that is wrong with online shopping and amazon should cancel their account so as to prevent them from causing similar problems to other shoppers in the future.
