5-0 out of 5 stars Great guide for students of WTO Law.
Van den Bosschle's textbook "Law and Policty of the WTO" is a wonderful textbook on WTO Law and Policy. He writes on all aspects of WTO Law and Practice. As a textbook, it is obviously basic and assumes a relatively elementary level of prior knowledge. The book is already quite large, but at times I have felt like it's coverage lacks certain information that I think that students could use.For example, I was unable to find any defintion or comment on the meaning of the term "general infrastructure" as used in the SCM agreement. But of course, this is relatively trivial. As as a book published in 2008, it is relatively up to date.Even if you are taking a course on International Trade that uses another textbook, I highly recommend that you purchase or use this book as a supplement. In my view, it's the best out there. ... 1-0 out of 5 stars Waste of Time and money
This book is the worst. That said, i did not have to use any other torts book in my first year of law school so there is a possibility that they are all this terrible. Frankly, i think we just used this book because my professor is too lazy to learn another one. We hardly even used it towards the end of the year because it lacked relevant cases. Also, a significant portion of the cases contained within are antique British case law AKA the worst. I feel for anyone who is required to use this book. I suggest buying some supplemental material because this thing is not going to teach you torts. There is a reason used copies are so cheap.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great

5-0 out of 5 stars Torts Book Review
The book I got is in perfect condition, and got it for a great price. The seller SROY Corporation made all the difference. The book got lost in transit (by fault of the US Postal Service) and the post office couldn't locate it.I was in a near panic, as I started law school and hadn't received it.Not only did SROY maintain prompt communication with me throughout the whole ordeal, they were at the post office more than I was trying to locate the book also. They really went above and beyond - at a certain point the post office ships it back to seller, and SROY was ready and willing to overnight it to me if that happened.Luckily it was located and I received it before that happened.I would definitely recommend buying from them, their excellent customer service and communication was greatly appreciated.

3-0 out of 5 stars It's a case book...
It's a case book.I looks like a case book, smells like a case book and most importantly, it reads like a case book.Get the point?

5-0 out of 5 stars Who is the reasonable man?
Simply sensational! A true page-turner! George Christie has really outdone himself with the third edition of this legal classic. A must-buy for every law student. Professor Christie has brought Torts to life in a way that only he can! Think contributory negligence is still alive? Think again. Christie sets the record straight in an epic tale of tortfeasors and trespass, judges and juries, restatements and res ipsa loquitur. Assume the risk and buy this one today! ... Read more

Product Description
Commercial Law: Text Cases and Materials has been an indispensable and hugely popular resource for students of law and business management for over ten years. Combining extracts from cases and other materials with substantial commentary and explanatory text, Sealy and Hooley provide context for the extracts, question their significance, and provide an authoritative guide to commercial law.

This book follows a very clear structure, discussing topics covered on commercial law courses not as separate entities, but as part of a coherent whole, enabling students to easily make links between different areas of the law. Fundamental concepts such as ownership, possession, and good faith run through the book, offering common themes connecting each area. The authors supply extensive commentary on key decisions, helping students to focus on the most important areas; also provided are European and American examples, ensuring that students have access to a comparative analysis of commercial law as it operates throughout the world.

Praised for the clarity of writing and mapping well onto a variety of courses, the emphasis throughout this book is on practical application - how is the law used in practice? Diagrams and questions enable students to check progress and consolidate understanding. While maintaining the previous edition's successful structure and style, this edition takes into account all of the major changes in the law since 2003 and provides extracts from recent key cases.

This abridged edition continues to use the broad organization that health law teachers and students found so helpful in the last five editions. 5-0 out of 5 stars Fav Law book!
Bought this for a class... It's easy to read/follow, great case examples to go along with the laws... felt that it is easier to read than most law books. (warning though, super sad- obviously this is a case book, so you are reading things that went wrong and thus are examples of health law... depressing!)

3-0 out of 5 stars An okay update, a little more legal now.....
Books for law students get updated at least every five years or so.This book is an update of his first book, this time including "Romer v. Evans" and the St. Patrick's Day cases. When the first edition came out, it was revolutionary. Now, Eskridge, Hunter and many others have published gay legal texts. This new edition still has classic non-legal writings from gay studies. So it's still not just a legal text, but an anthology. It has useful facts in it.Basically, I'm not blown away by this book, but it would be a good thing for gays, both inside and out of the law, to own. ...
