Product Description
On the demand side, exporters and strategic planners focusing on dairy products and birds' eggs in Mexico face a number of questions.Which countries are supplying dairy products and birds' eggs to Mexico? How important is Mexico compared to others in terms of the entire global and regional market? How much do the imports of dairy products and birds' eggs vary from one country of origin to another in Mexico? On the supply side, Mexico also exports dairy products and birds' eggs.Which countries receive the most exports from Mexico? How are these exports concentrated across buyers? What is the value of these exports and which countries are the largest buyers?

This report was created for strategic planners, international marketing executives and import/export managers who are concerned with the market for dairy products and birds' eggs in Mexico. With the globalization of this market, managers can no longer be contented with a local view.Nor can managers be contented with out-of-date statistics which appear several years after the fact.Icon Group has developed a proprietary methodology, based on macroeconomic and trade models, to estimate the market for dairy products and birds' eggs for those countries serving Mexico via exports, or supplying from Mexico via imports. It does so for the current year based on a variety of key historical indicators and econometric models. ... Product Description
In performing various economic analyses for its clients, I have occasionally been asked to investigate the market potential for various products and services in Mexico. The purpose of this study is to understand the density of demand within Mexico and the extent to which Monterrey might be used as a point of distribution within Latin America. From an economic perspective, however, Monterrey does not represent a population within rigid geographical boundaries, rather, it represents an area of dominant influence over markets in adjacent areas. This influence varies from one industry to another, but also from one period of time to another.

In what follows, I summarize the economic potential for Monterrey over the next five years for hundreds of industries, categories and products. The goal of this report is to report the real economic potential, or what an economist calls the latent demand, represented by Monterrey when defined as an area of dominant influence. The reader needs to realize that latent demand may or may not represent real sales. For many items, latent demand is clearly observable in sales, as in the case for food or housing items. Consider, however, the category "satellite launch vehicles". Clearly, there are no launch pads in Monterrey used by the space industry to launch satellites. However, the core benefit of the vehicles (e.g. telecommunications, etc.) is "consumed" by the area served by Monterrey. Without Monterrey, in other words, the market for satellite launch vehicles would be lower for the population in Mexico, Latin America, or the world in general. One needs to allocate, therefore, a portion of the worldwide economic demand for launch vehicles to both Latin America and Monterrey. ... Read more
