5-0 out of 5 stars Great product
The textbook is in a great condition as in the description. I had a fast delivery and very satisfied. Thanks

5-0 out of 5 stars Wonderful
Came in perfect condition. Bought this book for half the price my campus was selling it for AND it came w/ the study guide. If I would have purchased it at my campus bookstore, I would have had to pay for that separately. I am extremely happy with shipping conditions and my books condition. I always have been. This is why I shop Amazon Prime for all my college book needs! I even sell back my used books and make most of that money back! I only wish I would have found Amazon sooner! LUV IT!

Amazon sold me two books that had been sold a year before but never removed from their inventory.I had a hard time getting a refund. After several calls they finally refunded me but I did not have the textbooks for the first 3 weeks of my class. They are still showing the books as shipping soon in my open orders.Disorganized.

2-0 out of 5 stars Terrible book
This book is almost like a dictionary. It throws a million terms at you and has less supplemental information to actually help you comprehend research. I bought it for a class, but I really wish I would've saved my money. I seriously couldn't bear to read it, even when I had a test the night before. I just reviewed the terms in it and went to bed.

4-0 out of 5 stars it's a text book, what do you want?
It is required for a class, I find it more interesting than one would expect, covering important and interesting facts about research without putting the reader in a coma

5-0 out of 5 stars Nursing Research: Reading, Using, and Creating Evidence
Great book. You can buy several books or just one. This one goes into detail into quantitative, qualitative, etc.Great explanations.

5-0 out of 5 stars Nursing Research: Reading, Using and Creating Evidence
Excellent book, reads like a story book, well almost.
Research written easy to understand for a novice.

2-0 out of 5 stars Too Wordy
This book was written so simplistically that it was hard to keep my mind from wandering. The New Term and especially Grey Matter boxes were very helpful. It seemed like I was doing a lot of reading (impacting my available time) to glean a little knowledge.Nursing Research: Reading, Using, and Creating Evidence ... 5-0 out of 5 stars OB Nursing Book

1-0 out of 5 stars Horrible
I ordered a college text book on Aug 5th for a class starting the end of August. The seller never shipped the item and never contacted me letting me know that the item would not be shipped.Due to Amazon's "rules" i could not cancel my order until Sept 5th.I had to order another text book, pay twice as much, risk paying for both books, and I didn't have my book for the first two weeks of class. This was probably the worst expierence I have ever had with Amazon.Worst seller ever!!

2-0 out of 5 stars Old's Maternal-newborn -definition of fair
My book was not broken, but it came without the CD, and has many pages with written comments. If the book is not complete (as without the CD) it should have the "fair" disclosure that the CD is not included.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great for clinicals
I love all the clinical companions to my nursing texts. This is great to toss in my clinical bag and can fit into my scrub top pocket too. You certainly couldn't use this in place of the text for tests and such but is great for a review and is broken up and indexed nicely. ... Read more

This is the only care planning resource that allows you to use one book throughout your nursing curriculum. Color-coded medical-surgical, maternity, pediatric, and psychiatric sections help you quickly find each content area while giving the book a full-color look and feel.

  • An open and attractive two-color design facilitates quick and easy retrieval of information.
  • Nursing interventions and rationales are listed in a clear two-column format to make the information more accessible.
  • Related NIC intervention and NOC outcome labels are listed for each nursing diagnosis.
  • The Patient-Family Teaching and Discharge Planning section highlights key patient education topics and list resources for further information.
  • Health Care Setting is specified for each care plan, since different conditions are treated in various settings such as hospital, primary care, long-term care facility, community, and home care.

4-0 out of 5 stars Great Resource
Great book, wonderful resource for those many late nights nursing students put in for their clinical preps.Helps you put the whole picture together!Would highly recommend to other nursing students and even seasoned RNS as you can never have enough resources!

5-0 out of 5 stars BEST CARE PLAN BOOK EVER!!!
If anyone has had as much difficulty finding the perfect book as I have, they know whats up. So I literally spent 20 hours of research searching for the PERFECT care plan book. After my exhaustive study, I found this little dream of a book!! So why this one?? I chose this book because it gives you EVERYTHING you need to create an A+++ care plan. It includes disease processes, the nursing diagnosis related to the said medical condition, outcomes, and the best part- it includes both interventions with ALL the scientific rationales in an easy to read and fluent manner that makes writing up those dreaded care plans a breeze!! I would strongly recommend this book due to it's all inclusive style and really mean it when I say "This is the best care plan book ever". I bought the 2nd edition which was way cheaper than the newer version for pennies on the dollar and it is just as good as the one's my friends bought for $50 dollars. It's a must have and can be used for all area's of study as it includes Med Surg, Psych, Peds, and OB sections, so you can literally use it all through school!! I am thrilled and I usually don't leave reviews but I hope you take my word that this book is a MUST HAVE!! :)

3-0 out of 5 stars Not what my clinical instructors want in a care plan
This book was ok.It does cover all subjects in nursing school, but the interventions and rationales were not really what my instructors wanted. This is the book that was required by my school and I got it, but half way through my first semester I ended up buying another care plan book by ackley and ladwig and then my grades on careplans went up exponentially.Nursing Diagnosis Handbook: An Evidence-Based Guide to Planning Care

1-0 out of 5 stars Content of book
This Nursing Care Plan book sucks. I bought this because the reviews were good but I have no idea why! There are limited care plans in here. I thought there would be a wide aray but that's not the case. The diagnoses I had to do weren't even in here for the particular disease process. A better recommendation is "A nursing handbook" by Betty Ackley & Gail Ladwig (8th edition)

3-0 out of 5 stars Easy to use
I bought this book to help write care plans for pediatrics. It is a pretty good book and very easy to use.The pathophysiology in the book is pretty simple so I had to use other resources for that.I found repeating interventions with repeating rational for several of the peds careplans. It did save me time from searching peer reviewed rational specific to pediatrics.I would recommend the book as a source but it probably isn't going to help you write your entire careplan.I hope to be able to use again for mental health careplans. ... 3-0 out of 5 stars Don't pay for priority shipping

However, I paid regular shipping on another item the same day and both items came today in the mail. I believe the sellers where from the same state. Why did I pay extra?

1-0 out of 5 stars Ripped out pages
The book was missing half of it's pages. This is a study guide book, and 75% of the answers to the study guide were cut out of the book. Therefore the book is completely useless. As for the book itself, there a serious lack of multiple choice questions. There were 0-1 question per chapter.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great for health care providers
I purchased this book as a just have to know the many things i need to know working in the field health care an i think it's worth it.

5-0 out of 5 stars Worth the price!
I love this dictionary..When i started nursing school, people told me that I probably would not need it because everything is online now. However, I still got this dictionary and it has not let me down. I use it very often for Pharmacology and Pathophysiology..alot of medical terminology that may not have accurate meanings online can be found with authentic definitions in this dictionary. There are 100s and 100s of pictures..I would recommend ONLY this medical dictionary to anyone looking for one..There was only ONE time where the dictionary did not have a word I was looking for, but other than it was good.

5-0 out of 5 stars Med-Surg
I am using this to prepare for testing out of college level medical-surgical nursing. It allows for almost unlimited scenarios and corrects mistakes as you go.

5-0 out of 5 stars medical book
Great to deal with for business. Book in the condition stated and would order from them again

5-0 out of 5 stars Better than the required text for Med-Surg 1
I bought this thinking it would be a great addition to my text book reading for Med-Surg 1. It has REPLACED my text! It is so much more concise and easy to read, I just go over this and my notes before a test. This has saved so much time (which is not a resource in great abundance for nursing students). This book has saved my buns! I just wish I saved my money instead of buying the text.

5-0 out of 5 stars superb service
I was at first s little skeptical about purchasing this product from a source other than Amazon. However, the book arrived in perfect condition in a timely manner. This was a Christmas gift for my nephew who is in nursing school, and I was proud to give him such a high-quality gift for such a good price.Thank you!! ... 4-0 out of 5 stars Well worth it!!
For any nursing student...these books are well worth the money!! Sometimes they just help make things stick better!

3-0 out of 5 stars Great Service
The product was shipped in a timely manner. This product was what it was described as and I should've listened to the other reviews before I purchased this product. Not helpful for LPN student. Nice pictures and descriptions, but not as descriptive enough for nursing student. So, in the end this product was not as I expected it to be. Would not recommend this product.

4-0 out of 5 stars Good supplement to your studies.
I used this book along with volume one for my Diabetes Exam. It has cute, fun ways to help remember important points of study. I think volume one had better pages for diabetes than this one, but it still has good information. I plan on using the books throughout the rest of nursing school.

5-0 out of 5 stars Visual learners get this now!!
This is a great book for any level of nursing student! It provides a fun way to review things or learn them for the first time! It's great to learn another way than just staring for hours at a textbook! P.S. This book was highly recommended by one of my professors!

4-0 out of 5 stars great nursing memory supplement
This book, in conjunction with the others in the series, is a great memory tool when trying to learn the various disease processes and symptoms related to them. There is something for every system and area of nursing. As a nurse educator, I enjoy distributing these after I have discussed a specific topic to reinforce the material on which I have lectured. ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Policy & Politics review
The book is fine. It is easy to read and understand. However, it was presented as "new" and it was not new. There is writing in the book. I don't mind used books, I just don't think they should be misrepresented.

1-0 out of 5 stars Policy & Politics book
I did not receive the correct edition of the book that I ordered.I received an old copy. However, the seller did give me my money back.I was already a good 2 weeks into my class by the time I received the wrong edition and then had to go and purchase the correct book. So, beware of who you buy from!!

4-0 out of 5 stars used book review
Purchased with title of "Like New".I would not say it was like new on the outside cover and corners. They were pretty worn with a Used book sticker on it.Inside it's like new, with no highlights or markings. It works for what I need it for and it arrived in plenty of time.

5-0 out of 5 stars Policy and Politics in Nursing and Health Care
Recommended text book for Policy, Ethics and Legal Issue class.Very good book, have also used it as a reference in Nursing Education class.Good information in it.

5-0 out of 5 stars Policy & Politics in Nursing and Healthcare
This was a required text book for my graduate school nursing class on current issues in nursing. Ifound this book to be very readable and full of pertinent information. The only potential downside is the fact that this book can easily become outdated due to changes in legislation. Policy and politics are an everchanging front. I highly reccomend this book. It helps the reader understand how we came to this point in healthcare and how we can be most effective in changing the legislative climate. This book was interesting, I found myself reading beyond the assignment. ... Read more

it really breaks down the difficulties you experience with your text book and helps one be knowledgeable about the critical care clinical rotation.

1-0 out of 5 stars WARNING
This software is outdated.I couldn't run/install the software on Windows XP, or Mac OS(newer AND older versions of Mac). The tech support number is out of service. The Springnet website is defunct, it redirects you to its parent company, Lippincott. You're better off ordering the book, which I'm sure is a lot of fun, however, I won't know that until my CD-ROM is refunded and I order a copy of the paperback.Caveat Emptor.

1-0 out of 5 stars BE CAREFUL
I bought this book from Textbook TBS thru Amazon back in March of this year. I didn't have a chance to go thru the book until today and realized that the CD-ROM was missing from the book. I know I should have examed the book when I got it but since the seller has very good rating I trusted that the book would be complete as it was listed as "new", Hopefully Textbook TBS will tell me how to go about obtaining the missing CD-ROM but I don't have much faith in them now.

4-0 out of 5 stars GREAT for students
I really enjoyed this book, it really made things easy to understand. Only wished there were more questions. I would recommend it to others. Students in my class who did not need to buy this book because they were not taking the advance cardiopulmonary class saw us with this book and they decided to get it! It is great for acute care nursing in final semester.

5-0 out of 5 stars All "Incredibly Easy! Series are great!
I like all the "Incredibly Easy" books. Explains the entire nursing process and what to do/look out for.

2-0 out of 5 stars Graduate Nursing Textbook
I ordered this and other textbooks from Amazon at full retail price as one of my textbooks was backordered at the college bookstore. When I received my books, the book "Theoretical Basis for Nursing" was in very poor condition. It came without shrink wrap and is a paperback. It had been placed in a box with the other two hardback texts and packed without any packing material. This allowed the books to slide around during shipping.Even though I took the time to notify Amazon (with pictures) on the condition of the text, I was never contacted about the problem.I see no reason to order texts from Amazon with this lack of customer service and paying full price for a damaged book.I really doubt if I can even sell this book as used once I am finished with the class.

1-0 out of 5 stars Very unsatisfied
I am in school working toward a Masters degree in Nursing.I ordered this book two weeks before classes began. My classes have begun and "No Book"the program moves very quickly,I have to read 8 chapters for my first exam and I have no book. They simply say "we will notify you when the book will become available".Mean while I have paid $1,500. for this class I am not able to study for. This is not acceptable and from what I hear there are many other students that are in a frenzy for the same reason.I will never try to obtain a book from here again,if they were not obtainable then they should have stated this from the start. Since I haven't even received the book I rate it a 0.

4-0 out of 5 stars Love this book !!
I retook the teas test on Friday and i did great this time!! Use other books for the science portion tho ! I had to retake it cause i got a 50 the first time and the requirement was a 60 . i used this book and did some reading and some extra work online and got a 97 on reading, 91 on math, 83 on science and 87 on English. This book is very helpful with the Math, Reading and English but not so much the science part but overall am a very happy customer !
Good Luck !!

4-0 out of 5 stars Fast Delivery
It arrived quick which is great. I got a new one so the condition is great. I haven't had the chance to use it yet though. Amazon keeps hasseling me to write a darn review so here it is.

5-0 out of 5 stars GREAT BOOK!
I thought the book was great! It is very detailed when it comes to explaining each subject, step by step. This book helped me understand things that I could not understand or learn in the Evolve Reach Assessment Workbook that I purchased. McGraw's book helped me understand the all the science topics that I needed to cover in order to take my Hesi A2 exam.

5-0 out of 5 stars buy it!!!
Used this to study for the TEAS V, and it helped me refresh all my grammar, reading comprehension and math skills. The science was more helpful than the ATI book. But they were still not enough to get over a 70% in the science. Read anatomy book,s and biology books if your school requires a higher score

4-0 out of 5 stars Very useful
I was extremely nervous to take the TEAS test but this book did help a lot. Math is defintely not my strong point and this book really helped me through it. The only complaint I have for this book is the science portion. For the TEAS test they asked a lot of earth science questions and this book didnt help with that area. Overall this book was a excellent refresher and I ended up scoring well. ... Read more
