Halfway is situated in scenic Pine Valley. Settled in the 1860's, Pine Valley has a long history of agriculture, mining and timber production. Cattle are the main economic base these days. Our long winters require lots of hay to get the cattle through to the spring grass, so watch out for tractors and livestock on the roads, ranchers are busy people around these parts! Many local festivities occur throughout the year. The Lion's Club Crab Feed in March and the annual Labor Day Fair and Rodeo are two of the best and biggest!
