A licensed physical therapist and athletic trainer, Gulick volunteered with the United States Olympic Training Center at the 1998 World Games in Moscow, Russia, and the 1999 Pan American Games in Winnipeg, Canada. Gulick has written articles for several professional publications including Journal of Sport Rehabilitation, British Journal of Sports Medicine, Athletic Therapy Today and Trends in Rehabilitation.

Over 9,000 members of the media will report the successes and triumphs of more than 3,000 athletes from 80 countries as they compete in 70 different events and vie for the 210 available medals. Murphy said tickets for the most popular events like women's figure skating and men's hockey will be pricey with Opening Ceremony tickets going for hundreds. But, she added, there are dozens of moderately priced events that will provide locals with an opportunity to see world class athletes compete in the flesh.
