Trivia: Did you know that some people can read more than a thousand words per minute. Now compare that to an average college student who can only read between 200 to 300 words per minute.

Anyone can double their speed in reading, just push harder. There is no trick to that. But you can't read a book that way either. You need a new set of skills, speed reading skills, if you want to double or triple your reading speed while also improving your understanding of what you read.

Most people find reading rapidly difficult and risky. They are afraid that as they increase the speed of reading, they might not be able to grasp the idea of what they are reading.

That's why they have to settle with slow reading speed that makes them finish a novel over a month, or worse, not being able to find what they are looking for in an academic textbook for an assignment in school before the due date.

What they do not know is that, according to studies, the relationship between reading speed and comprehension is directly proportional to each other. That is, an increase in rate entails an increase in comprehension.

Want to double your reading speed and increase your understanding of the materials being read? Then take a look at this:

The Speed Reading 24 HourCourse: Accelerate Your Reading and Learning Abilities to the Extreme!

Speed Reading can benefit anyone. Not only will you be able to learn faster, but you can also impress your friends!

Besides being beneficial and useful, learning such skill is simple and takes only a few techniques to apply.

Speed reading is not only useful in reading for pleasure but is more necessary when used in learning and studying. In these cases, time is essential. And if you can make things faster and a lot easier, you're less likely to get stressed out.

Whether it's novels, newspapers, magazines, or just any materials, reading can be very relaxing, interesting and often, breathtaking.
Reading brings us to another world that is different from reality. It lets us seek more knowledge that cannot be learned in simple observations in everyday living. It is a never-ending journey to unexplored places where everything is magical and mysterious.

So, if we are all readers here, then what's the problem we should be dealing with?

Oh, ok. You can't get enough of reading but it seems eternity until you finish one reading material that you have started. That is, indeed, a problem.

You should be fast enough to read a part of or the whole reading material to be able to get what you need from it. Thus, you should…

Get Rid of Rereading, Pronouncing Words Aloud, and Other Habits that Reduce Speed When Reading!

Again, worry no more because I have compiled in the comprehensive report The Speed Reading Monster Course all the tips and tricks that you need to know in becoming the fastest reader that you can possibly be.

Check out just SOME of the information you can find inside:

How you can get at least 80% of what you need to know in just 11-13 minutes, even from the topics you're not interested in.
The most important part in every paragraph that should be given the most time in understanding.

Why pronouncing words when reading should be avoided.

It is not practically helpful for speed reading. All techniques mentioned were so narrow without much guidelines.

It offers a thorough overview of important and current research, including first language research, which is not often found in second language acquisition (SLA) publications. This book is a true example of applied linguistics; it makes well-defined linkages between theory and practice, discussing the implications and applications of second language reading theories on instructional practices. DO NOT TRUST THIS SELLER. When I received the book, I found that there are 8 pages(Pg.182-Pg.190) from the book. I got 20% off after I contacted with them. But later on, I found another two places with pages torn off(Pg 121-Pg126 and Pg 151-Pg156) which seriously affect my mid term exam. The answers and marks were marked with pen all over the book. The description in the website is totally didn't match with the truth.I felt the deceit and angry so that I contacted with them by email to return the book, but they didn't reply at all.I believe you can image the feeling I had when the mid term exam was seriously affected. "How to Improve Your Reading Speed and Comprehension"

Are you one of those people who wish they could increase the speed of their reading and understand what you have read?Well the good news is that you can!

You may be one of the masses who believe that reading fast and comprehending what you read is only for certain people who have a “smart gene!”

Well, nothing could be farther from the truth.Speed reading with a high level of comprehension is a “learned” skill and not inherited.

If you listen very carefully I'll tell you how you can read your way into unimaginable speeds AND remember everything you’ve read.

First things first!

Did you know that most of us play an ongoing game inside our brain? All day long we play this game that is somewhat like playing tennis. One part of your brain will throw out a thought like a tennis ball and another part will answer by whacking it back with a reply.
When it comes to reading, we tend to actually “vocalize” each word inside our brain. This is one of a number of things that prevents us from reading faster.
Doesn’t it stand to reason that if you can by-pass that mechanism the speed of reading will increase?Absolutely.
When it comes to reading, you are still using the reading “habits” that you were taught in school. For most people this isn’t necessarily a good thing. Why is that?It is because you are not using the full potential of your brain.
Anyone can learn how to read faster!

All you need is the desire to improve your reading skills and the means to retrain your brain and "How to Improve Your Reading Speed and Comprehension" will help you boost your reading speed AND comprehension.
If you are reading this, you already have the desire and are looking for the method without breaking the bank on expensive courses that may or may not help you achieve the goals you have in mind.

The good news is that we have the best source on the Internet to answer your questions in a clear and concise manner."How to Improve Your Reading Speed and Comprehension" is a definite must have to introduce you to what you need to know to achieve the results you desire!

See what you will learn:

• What is Speed Reading?
• How we learned to read slowly.
• Who needs Speed Reading?
• Is speed reading a genetic ability or a learned skill?
• How you can test your own reading speed.
• How to test and time yourself.
• Test yourself to determine your retention.
• It is important to track your progress.
• About "speed reading" books and classes.
• What happens to your eyes while you are reading?
• What role do your hands play in reading?
• Fiction vs. non-fiction – is there a difference?
• Speed reading and how we vocalize.
• How to increase your reading speed.
• How to increase your comprehension

You just have to experience "How to Improve Your Reading Speed and Comprehension" in order to really understand how you can take your reading speed from 250 wpm (the average) and match it up with your “thinking rate” of 500 wpm (again the average).

If you have ever wondered about whether you have the talent to increase your reading speed, again, it has nothing to do with innate talent and everything to do with learning new skills. You owe it to yourself to grab a copy of “How to Ease Your Allergies” "How to Improve Your Reading Speed and Comprehension."

Whatever your reason for speeding up your reading and comprehension don’t continue the “status quo” because you think you can’t do it.You can and do it with "How to Improve Your Reading Speed and Comprehension."You have nothing to lose and everything to gain!

Customer Reviews (11)

2-0 out of 5 stars It's barely OK
Just to be short and concise (so you can "speed read" this review), don't bother with the book. I might extend that to include all Evelyn Wood material. As others have noted, the simpler concepts that are introduced are too basic to have a great effect on your reading/comprehension. The more complex concepts are glazed over too quickly.

Essentially, a majority of this book consists of pop psychology to make you feel good about your potential and of inspiring anecdotes from the program's students that, I suppose, are meant to lend some credibility to the concepts in this book.

Its saving grace is the few chapters it spends on outlining proper methods for studying in preparation for tests and exams. While nothing revolutionary, it manages to approach that topic in a practical way, which might be helpful for mediocre students that might be looking to develop non-existent study skills.

But this book isn't supposed to be about studying, is it?

2-0 out of 5 stars Big on claims, short on detail
I wouldn't exaclty label this book as worthless; indeed, there are many useful tidbits and techniques which can help many students become more successful in the classroom. My complaint concerns the nuts and bolts of how to attain the "3,000" word per minute reading level which is regularly advertised throughout the book. In fact, I found the book largely containing anecdotes and stories of how other readers utilized the program to acheive superhuman reading levels. I was left thiking "is there a book 2 that I'm missing"? If you can learn to read via skimming your fingers underneath the sentences you've pretty much already got 90% of this book down. Perhaps the author should have focused only on speed reading rather than incorporating other information regarding studying skills, note taking, etc; all worth while, but not pertinent to those who got the book for the primary purpose of reading faster. In short, there are more useful books out there on the subject.

3-0 out of 5 stars Close but not quite
I read this one, and after reading the reviews here, I must say I agree. The book is more a volume of anecdotes with a very sparse amount of instruction that leaves you wanting. I tested my reading speed initially and was at 225. By the time I had finished the book I was at 397, so I did improve, but it would have been nice to have a structured series of clearly written exercises to increase reading speed rather than one chapter on the technique and the rest full of study tips. Fortunately I am starting classes this fall so I can put those study tips to some use, but overall, though interesting the book was not too helpful. I think I'm going to have to invest in the actual Evelyn Woods Reading Dynamics program if I want to improve my speed.

2-0 out of 5 stars More of an ad blitz than a teach yourself rapid reading.
Picked this book up with an interest in increasing my reading speed, but was disappointed when the book turned out to be one big ad for the Evelyn Wood Speed Reading Courses. Most of the book was devoted to informing the reader how fast and efficiently they could study, and how successful their courses are. There was very little instruction and what was there was vague. The book ended up being of negligible help to my reading speed.

5-0 out of 5 stars Read over and over until you get it.
Every junior high, high school, and college student should read this book. It takes lots of practice to learn how to do it proficiently but once you've got it figured out you'll love how fast you can read and how well you can retain the information. ... Read more

Customer Reviews (12)

3-0 out of 5 stars It's alright!
It does help but not to the point where you want to get and it seems to make you dependable on props such as pointers to help you flow through the words.

4-0 out of 5 stars Practice makes perfect.
Some of the items explained in the book might seem corny, and you might not want to do them. The thing is that if you carry out the instructions of the book you will develop the ability of improving your reading speed. It's all about practice, without it you will not improve your reading skills or speed.

3-0 out of 5 stars Great for starters
I have only just begun my quest for practical speed reading techniques, but already I have seen dramatic improvements (at least doubled my previous reading speed).

This book makes it easy for a motivated individual to get started at reading faster.

I gained the most out of the 3rd and 4th chapter and got very little out of the others.

In the 3rd chapter he identifies the major hindrances to fast reading. In the 4th chapter he offers a technique to help overcome some of the problems mentioned in the previous chapter.
Those two chapters opened me up to a whole new approach to reading.

The next evening I went on to read "The Evelyn Wood 7-Day Speed Reading & Learning Program" by Stanley D. Frank and I highly recommend it as a follow-up to Moidel's book.In fact, I felt like Moidel's book was a condensed and slightly modified version of the Evelyn Wood Program.

I always used to label myself as a slow reader - under 250wpm.
I easily doubled my reading speed within the first 2 days alone after reading Moidel's book (with practice - not his drills, though - instead I just practiced reading in groups of words without vocalizing).I am reading even faster now that I incorporated some of what I learned from the Evelyn Wood Program (the book).

Of course speed varies with the material being read, but what I'm most excited about is that my approach to reading has changed drastically and with it my speed has increased dramatically.

My biggest downfall in the past was reading word-by-word (focusing on each and every word rather than grouping words) and vocalizing.(Now I realize it's not necessary to read "word-by-word" and I realize to what extent word-by-word reading as well vocalizing slows one down).

5-0 out of 5 stars Clear understanding about dimensions of reading, and works!
After reviewing several books about speed reading --some of them very expensive--, I found it. And I strongly recommend it. The book allows you to understand and to train separately three different dimensions of reading:

- Speed, understanding and recalling.

Contrasting with another "speed reading in 5 minutes" offers, this book does not sell you miracles: you need to practice and practice to speed up your reading skills.

as a minus, I personally found the chapter about Internet useless. Do we need to read a complete chapter to learn that "Much of Internet reading is prereading or scanning"?
I don't think so.

If I would recommend a book to start with speed reading, this will be the first one.

4-0 out of 5 stars Practical, sound advice
I'll start off by saying that if you want to become a proficient speed reader, it takes work and effort. Having said this, Moidel's book is the way to go about it. The book outlines the most common hindrances to speed reading and then illustrates how to conquer them. Within an hour I doubled my reading speed by using some of the basic pointers.

To get full use of this book, you must dedicate time to practising the numerous drills that are offered. With perseverence, you should be pushing 1000 words per minute with excellent comprehension. This book is fairly small and offers lots of no nonsense advice to get you on your way to speed reading. ... Read more

Product Description
You have no doubt heard about speed reading and many of the claims sound too good to be true. Reading 10,000 words per minute? That is pretty fishy. But, what if only some of those claims are not only true but within your reach? If you could just double or triple your reading speed...How much would it improve your life?

Is it embarrassing when a friend hands you a magazine or newspaper and says 'read this'. You start to read as everyone sits silently and you feel the pressure. Now it seems like you are reading at half the speed you can normally read at. Then when you finish, with the pressure of everyone looking at you and trying to finish early so you don't look dumb, you only say 'uh-huh' because you can't remember what you read! Now you are afraid your friends or your boss may quiz you on what you read and you will not have the answer because you rushed through it to avoid looking like an idiot. This is a terrible feeling and can be so embarrassing.

Even when you are on your own and you have to read a long report for work or a study assignment for school, or review a chapter in a textbook, you can quickly become bored, your mind wanders and you have to re-read everything because by the time you reach the end, you forgot what you read at the beginning. The way you learned to read in school makes reading much more difficult than it has to be. It should be fun and enjoyable.

You may have assumed that how you read is just how you read and nothing can change that. Maybe you thought you were not intelligent enough to read faster. That is completely false and I know that YOU can read faster. The real problem is not you, it is the way you were taught to read. By the time you reached the third grade you had all of your reading skills in place. From that time on you were given no further instruction in how to read other than to memorize more words. That is exactly the problem. You are reading at the same level you learned in third grade. The way you were taught back then was supposed to show you how to sound out unfamiliar words and how to read one word at a time as if you were having a conversation in your head. That is fine when you are learning to read but it also limits you to reading at that third grade speed.

Try the Speed Reading In 24 Hours Learning Course and discover how speed reading works and how it can benefit you. Imagine how much better you could perform in school and on the job if you could read only twice as fast? Three times as fast or faster? You will never know what you can accomplish if you do not try it now.
