Although a database currently exists that attempts to fulfill many of the requirements of an alumni system, it has been determined that overall the current database is inadequate. A need exists to either modify or replace the current system to ensure that all of the Naval Postgraduate School's alumni relation needs are met. A decision is being pondered about whether the creation and management of such a system should be done within the confines of the school or outsourced to another organization, this thesis will aid in that decision making process.
