Available elsewhere free of charge
This directory is OK if you're only interested in a few suburban counties.There are 20 counties that make up greater Atlanta, however.You can get better information, by county, by city, or by school from the GeorgiaDepartment of Education's website.It will likely be fresher data; mostimportantly, it will cost you nothing.

a very helpful reference book
I found no information under the catalogue of Taiwan, China. There are atleast 10 medical colleges in Taiwan and all have their own teachinghospitals with advanced equipment and excellent doctors. I guess the onlyreason that Taiwan being ruled out from the directory is politics. ... Read more

The info I needed
I am moving to the Washington D.C./Virginia area and needed to find basic data about some non-public schools...student/teacher ratios, before and after school care, financial aid etc.Theis book was able to offer the infoI needed to help me narrow my search down considerably.

Not the guide you want...
Potential buyers should know that this "guide" is essentially little more than a list.About each school or day care, it contains address, tuition, and 3-5 more lines of information.

I went looking for such a guide because I was dissatisfied with the Independent School Guidefor Washington, DC and Surrounding Area (I have 10th edition), which hasabout a half page per institution, plus sections on how to choose,consultants, other information. While neither has any sort ofranking or comparative information (what I was after), the IndependentSchool Guide is much more informative and detailed than the WashingtonSchool and Daycare Guide. ...
