Very nice quality for the price.It's made from durable heavy paper stock and laminated to protect it from damage such as liquid spills and tears as in rips, not crying. I keep it on my music stand when practicing as a reference and have become to rely on it. If you're looking for a good quality flute fingering chart, this is the one to buy. I needed a fingering chart as a handy reference during practice sessions and to add to the learning process as I attempt to become a doubler on flute. This chart is ideal for that purpose. The graphics are sharp, clear and easy to transfer from the page to the instrument.

Almost perfect!
I am returning to the flute after taking quite a bit of time off. I have all of my old flute books and picked this up so I would be able to pick up where I left off despite some of my memory lapses on fingering for a few notes.. ie. (C# is the same as Db ... F# is the same as Gb). For the most part .. this 3 fold paper is great but:

1- My flute is not a beginner flute. It has 4 openings on the 3rd piece. This piece is not indicated on this chart... I rarely used they key anyhow.. but it would have been nice to remember.

2- Instead of picturing the key that you use for sharps, it writes it in as a 3L key. This would be fine if it were the only labeled key... but there's also the 1r key.. a 2r key.. 3r... 1L and 2L (of which.. I thought you almost always used 2L for your left thumb.. but this chart says you can use them interchangeably...) .. Also, I don't think the 1R button is ever used on this diagram.

That being said I love:

1- It lays out all of the notes-- so it helps me to locate notes I forgot (as mentioned above.. C# is the same as Db). Easy to find.

2- After I adjust to the mapping... It's pretty easy to get fingering for any note needed. I usually forget fingering for the higher notes. Great add!

So all in all.. This chart has helped me to play my old music. Could be better-- but this is almost perfect. I'm satisfied.

Days of the New brings days of new riffs and techniques
Days of the New started in a garage. They worked out into the world, of course, and now they have their own CD with their own tablature book. Simply being Travis Meeks (lead guitarist for the band) and being able tocome up with so much beautiful music and melodies is something to be proudof. But writing out everything that he plays? Wow. The person who figuredout what is being played doesn't even know Days of the New personally, hesimply listened and wrote. And it's perfect. This book is based solely onguitar tablature notation, making it very simple to read and (yeah right)play. Many chords are also simply numbered out in a vertical line on thetabs. Hence, the uniform layout seems to present itself as a 5-star book.The references to tuning for guitarists on each song even goes as far backas the 3rd or 4th guitar. The only problem is that occasionally on repeatsand non-solos, you must figure out what to play and how to play it bylooking at the chord charts provided over the notation. a fine piece of work for the james taylor fan...BUT ...how can anyone call a book complete...when it isn't????There is NOTHING complete about this.My lesson...don't believe anything the marketing gurus set before you!!!If it says complete....it's probably only the beginning fragment of a potential scam.if it says final...don't bet on it!there is more than likely a sequel waiting to be mass marketed next winter shopping season!

Complete Volume One
The music, lyrics, and guitar chord diagrams, for almost 70 songs.Although I do not own all the albums, the book appears to contain all the songs from the albums "James Taylor" "Sweet Baby James" "Mud Slide Jim" "Gorilla" "One Man Dog" and "Walking Man."A must-own for the JT fan.

The not-so-Complete JT
I was disappointed. More at what was not in the book than what was in it. This book only covers a few of his many albums. I have no complaints about the music that is in there but I had higher expectations when it said JT complete. I missed the "Vol. 1" hidden down by the ISBN #. Which is my own fault. This is Not James Taylor Complete. This is James Taylor Vol. #1!

An Absolute Must for guitar
