5-0 out of 5 stars Fascinating Fascination
Absolutely gorgeous. They don't make singers like her anymore. Unbelievably romantic. Great too if you love violins.

5-0 out of 5 stars JANE MORGAN IS FASCINATION
FASCINATION is most likely Jane's biggest-selling lp for KAPP RECORDS.The title song has sold over 4 million copies since 1957.The cd (made in Japan) is flawless. The stereo seperation is crystal clear. The jacket is a small reproduction of the original album including the back with the liner notes.(Canada got a different piture on front).Jane does a cover of Johnny Mathis' "It's Not For Me To Say" and does a super job.The collection of songs is pure '50's pop music and this is what Jane does to perfection.Jane's earlier classical training is evident. The collection includes 2 songs by Jane's often backup group, The Troubadors..."Intermezzo" and "Midnight In Athens."It is difficult to pick a favorite song from this collection that Jane does.I think most will love the fluid way Jane delivers a song.We need more KAPP material released by this fine singer. ... 4-0 out of 5 stars Lady Susan Is Like No Other Jane Austen Heroine
Lady Susan may not appeal to all of us ,but she did to me.Unlike all other Jane Austen heroines she is evil, scheming, and seductive. This novel may strike you as odd because it is presented in epistolary form(it's written in letters)but ,to me, that did not hurt the effect of thenovel.Lady Susan's wickedness is thrilling and the plot of the book wasfast-moving emotionally. You cannot fully enjoy Lady Susan until you havehad previous exposure to Jane Austen. I have read all of her novels andstories and this, one of her earliest works, stands out. It is short and awonderful quick-read.In the book, Lady Susan has practically imprisonedher daughter, Frederica, in a boarding school which she hates. She doesthis because Frederica will not marry the idiot that Lady Susan has chosenfor her. Then Lady Suasn goes to live with her late husband's brother,Mr.Vernon, and his wife.Mrs. Vernon distrusts Lady Susan and she is rightin doing so.I will not spoil the book for you, only state that it waswell worth reading.Of course all the loyal Janeites will know how thisbook will end, at least in one area of generality if not in theparticulars. ... Product Description

Little Fish has lost his mother! Where, where, where can she be? As he searches high and low around the African watering hole, Little Fish spies many other strange animals with their mothers: Okapi, sipping water, sluppa-sup; Hippo, bathing baby, splish-a-splash; Cheetah, cleaning her cub scrub-a-scrub. But where is his mother? Will he ever find her?

Young readers with quick eyes may spot his mother hidden here and there in the colorful collage illustrations of Jane Conteh-Morgan, and they will delight in the rhythmic repetitions of Nancy Van Laan's text. This is sure to become a read-aloud favorite for all ages. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Sweet and fun
This sturdy board book is adorable. The illustrations are vivid and colorful. The book describes animals and thier sounds, from A-Z.It is a good way to teach animals and to learn about the sounds they make.We orginally used it to help our sons with their speech delay.Aparently, it is easier for children to make sounds than say words, so this was perfect.Still today it makes me smile.

5-0 out of 5 stars ABCs and the fun of God's creatures, what fun!
This is a wonderfully fun book.My kids and I love it.I do think it flows. My kids love the ABCs and they love animals. The great thing about the book is it combines both those things while gently reminding the little ones that the animals are all God's creatures. It is a must have.I am purchasing two for gifts.I just know my friend's kids will love it as much as we do.

2-0 out of 5 stars good concept - doesn't flow
This book's concept is great. But the fact that it really doesn't rhyme at all makes it quite difficult to read to a child. It is almost like stumbling over the words even after reading it 10 or 15 times. ... Read more

"Handsome? I Should Say he is NOT! His hair is a mess. He has a nose like a bird and a tyrannical jaw. His eyes are full of calculations.. Nor had Alice encouraged him. Yet somehow this infuriating, mysterious man had managed to turn her life upside-down. He dressed as absurdly as the proprietor of a parrot show or as elegantly as a Count. He disappeared on strange missions, leered at her, ordered her about. He was intolerable! And yet, though she refused his advances, he insisted on loving her. And now she found herself living as a "lady" in a magnificent London house, mistress of a staff of servants, waiting for a letter from Napoleon himself. A letter which Louis said would confirm that she was not Alice at all-not an opera-dancer, not a hat-maker-but the lost duchesse deViaur! Taken from back cover. ... Read more

Product Description
Filling a serious gap between the literature on victimization and general social policy on children, Child Victims explores the range and extent of crimes committed against children and assesses their impact. For the first time, testimony of over two hundred children gives clear voice to their experiences, views, and needs. Morgan and Zedner examine how children attain the status of victims in the criminal justice system. They scrutinize each stage of the legal process that the child encounters, while contrasting the specialist response of the support services to the experience of the child going through a system designed for adults. The work concludes with a number of recommendations for future policy. ... Read more
