Agricultural Economics and Food Marketing
The Agriculture Building Our teaching and research focus on agricultural and food issues both in the UK and abroad. We are well known for our work in national and international agricultural policy analysis and modelling, marketing and market analysis and consumer behaviour, with reference to developed, developing and transitional economies. Recently, we have developed a broader interest in rural and environmental issues, with our Centre for Rural Economy providing a focus for teaching and research into countryside change and rural development in the UK and Europe. Our main undergraduate programmes involve about 250 students. We also run taught MSc courses and maintain an active MPhil and PhD research programme with approximately 20 full and part time postgraduate students.
