In 1998, Green completed his Bachelor of Science degree in general studies and social science at St. Paul's College in Lawrenceville, VA. In May of the following year, Marymount University recognized Green for his extraordinary humanitarian endeavors and conferred upon him the honorary degree Doctor of Humane Letters. In addition in May of 2002, George Washington University and St. Paul's College awarded Mr. Green with his third honorary degree, making him a Doctorate of Humane Letters.
Green has received many awards for his accomplishments both on and off the field and is known for his moral leadership, self-discipline, and integrity that stem from his personal relationship with Christ. Early in his football career, the 5'9" Green began knocking down guys who were giants compared to him. His passion quickly became to knock down the giants of illiteracy, poverty, fatherlessness and most importantly hopelessness. He founded the Darrell Green Youth Life Foundation (DGYLF) in 1988 to create doorways of opportunity for children living in insecure environments. This mission is accomplished through community-based and values-driven learning centers operating in select urban, suburban, and rural neighborhoods throughout America.

(2002 Bio)

Entering year three in the NFL and on the Packers coaching staff, Darrell Bevell takes an expanded coaching role into the 2002 campaign.
Promoted by GM/Head Coach Mike Sherman to offensive assistant on April 27, Bevell will see more hands-on duty in coaching the club's quarterbacks. Described as "an excellent teacher" by Sherman, Bevell will spend the bulk of his time with the younger passers on the club's roster as well as continue to assist offensive coordinator Tom Rossley with offensive strategy and game planning.
Now in his seventh season overall in the coaching profession, Bevell will continue contributing his talents behind the scenes compiling scouting reports, breaking down opponent game video and setting up the Packers' vast array of computerized teaching tools, including the Avid digital video system.
The son of a high school football coach, the 32-year-old Bevell originally joined the Packers on March 7, 2000, after four years of developing his coaching skills in the collegiate ranks, including two seasons (1998-99) at the University of Connecticut as wide receivers coach. Under his direction during the 1998 campaign, senior wideout Carl Bond registered a school-record 11 touchdown receptions and teamed with sophomore receiver John Fitzsimmons to each post 1,000-yard seasons - the first such tandem in school history.

The Trojans also helped themselves on special teams, since Rideaux frequently returned kickoffs to the Poly 40 or beyond and blocked 18 kicks in his prep career.
Last season, Rideaux was selected as a USA Today All-USA first-teamer, Parade All-America, SuperPrep All-America, Long Beach Press-Telegram Best in the West first-teamer and all-CIF Southern Section first-teamer.
He is the first four-year starter in the history of Long Beach Poly, which has more grads in the NFL than any other high school.
Rideaux chose USC over Notre Dame, Stanford and Cal.
