... Wrestling Brown Leads Illinois Past Missouri, 85-70 Freshman Dee Brown logs 21 points, seven assists and five rebounds for Illinois. Dec 21, 2002 By R.B. FALLSTROM AP Sports Writer ST. LOUIS (AP) - Freshman Dee Brown had 21 points, seven assists and five rebounds as No. 12 Illinois, often dominating play, beat No. 11 Missouri 85-70 on Saturday in the annual Braggin' Rights game. Illinois (8-0) has won the last three games in the neutral-site series, which again played to a sellout crowd of 22,153 at Savvis Center. It was the first time both teams were unbeaten since 1989. This time the Illini beat Missouri (6-1) with three freshmen in the starting lineup. Brown and Ricky Clemons played to a virtual standstill in a battle of point guards. Clemons had 16 points and three assists and hit four 3-pointers. But Illinois excelled inside against an experienced Missouri front line, outrebounding the Tigers 42-32. Brian Cook barely missed his second straight double-double with 17 points, hitting all 10 free throws, and nine rebounds. Five others contributed four or more rebounds apiece. Missouri's Arthur Johnson, who entered the game with four double-doubles in the last five games, got into early foul trouble and never got into the flow, finishing with eight points and three rebounds. He had been averaging 17 points and eight boards.

Henry Domercant, the nation's eighth-leading scorer at 25 points per game, had 30 for the Panthers (3-5). Dee Brown
By John Koch, Boston Globe Former Celtics guard Dee Brown, 29, says he wants to be respected above all for community service. To that end, he and his wife created the Tammy and Dee Brown Foundation last year. How does being traded feel? We were about to build a house in Lincoln before I got traded. I'm selling my town house in Boston, and I'm trying to get my family up to Toronto [home of the NBA Toronto Raptors] as soon as possible on a full-time basis. It's complicated to have to uproot everything I built over eight years in a few days, but it's part of the business. I enjoy Toronto, but when I'm done playing, I'm building a house in Boston - in perhaps four or five years. What happens to the foundation now?

It's rare to see a player have success in one area of competition, but it's even rarer that an athlete comes along who can hold his own on two very different playing fields. Brown has flourished this season in the Knights backfield, rushing for a career high 67 yards against Toledo and helping the Knights maintain a healthy running game while tailback Alex Haynes nurses an ankle injury. Brown has also proven he can catch the ball out of the backfield, tallying 66 receiving yards against

COMPANY OVERVIEW
MANAGEMENT AND ORGANIZATION
BOARD OF ADVISORS Dee Brown, NBA Basketball Star, (aka “Professor Gadget”)

You might know that Dee is closing out his NBA career with the Orlando Magic. A veteran of 12 years beginning with the Boston Celtics, he was named to the NBA All-Rookie Team and won the Slam Dunk Contest during All-Star Weekend. But you probably DIDN’T know that, during his busy NBA career, this athletic “superstar” was also dazzling those around him with his brain-power - developing and selling two technology businesses (one to CompUSA), establishing a family foundation (with wife Tammy) to help teach young mothers and fathers better parenting skills, and helping other athletes set up foundations that benefit their communities and the broader society.
Dee was nicknamed by his teammates and the press “Professor Gadget” for his love of all things
electronic – computers, PDA’s, cell phones, etc. He completed a double major in Math and Computer Science at Jacksonville University in 3+ years. Today, he enjoys developing software programs in his spare time, a hobby he first began at the age of eight, mastering a number of programming languages by his teen years.
Very active in helping people of all ages better understand computers, Dee is developing yet another career as a motivational speaker, as corporations increasingly call on him to describe the determination and discipline that helped him become a basketball star AND a computer “whiz.”

Illinois is among the national leaders in defensive field goal percentage, limiting its opponents to 38-percent shooting. The Illini were also ranked among the top three teams in the country in assists (18 per game), a sure sign that this is an unselfish team that doesn't care where the points come from. Brian Cook, a 6-10 senior, usually leads the way in scoring and rebounding in an Illinois win, but the team has been energized by two freshmen guards, Dee Brown and Deron Williams, who finished second and third in assists, respectively, in the Big Ten. Brown was the team's second-leading scorer.
