The A.C. Green Youth Foundation is about building character, building strong bodies and strong minds, winning and losing with dignity, teamwork, and sacrifice. We provide programs that ignite dreams and an abstinence program that says it's okay to wait until marriage. In short, we are building leaders. Leaders who, in their individual capacity, no matter what their station in life, will be able to stand up for what is right instead of wrong, and in fact, will be their brother's keeper.
My passions go far beyond professional basketball. I ardently desire to influence the younger generation, both male and female, to fulfill their potential by tenaciously pursuing their dreams in accordance with their gifts and talents.
I feel many of our nation's young people feel largely rejected and neglected, which breeds hopelessness and despair. Having twelve nieces and nephews, I am in touch with the youth of today on a personal level and feel a great deal of love and concern for them.
I firmly believe that my position as a NBA star is a platform from which to be heard, and a vehicle to help young people.

Site design and development by New City Media Inc. God has given Green a heart for reaching young people. Throughout his storied career, he has been dedicated to working with America’s teens and promoting sexual abstinence. (AgapePress) - For professional basketball’s “Iron Man,” winning another NBA Championship is a worthy goal but living for Jesus Christ takes precedence.
A.C. Green is a proven winner on the basketball
court. Green has played in more consecutive games than any other player in NBA history. He has been a part of three NBA Championship teams with the Los Angeles Lakers. The dependable rebounder and selfless forward from Oregon State University has been a strong leader for the Phoenix Suns, Dallas Mavericks, and Miami Heat.
However, according to Green, no amount of athletic success compares to having a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

ABOUT US CONTACT US FIND YOUR SPEAKER ... Search for another speaker A.C. Green Category: Basketball, Inspirational In brief On November 20, 1997, A.C. Green (Forward for the Los Angelas Lakers) became the NBA's new Iron Man. By breaking the all-time "most consecutive games by an NBA player" (907 consecutive games), Green has become the NBA version of baseball's Cal Ripken, Jr. Fee Range:
Playing through injury and illness, Green's dedication, determination and consistency have proven him to be one of the hardest working players in the NBA. His "never give up" attitude was demonstrated in a nationally televised game against New York. When going for a rebound, J.R. Reid threw a vicious elbow and knocked his teeth out. Instead of retaliating, and without missing a beat, Green simply picked up his teeth and continued to play with his teeth in hand until time-out was called. A.C. Green has won three NBA Championship rings (1987, 1988, 2000), and has appeared in five NBA Finals (all with the Lakers). In February of 1996, Green scored his 10,000th career point making him one of 10 active players to reach 10,000 points and 7,000 rebounds.
