JAMES Detroit Free Press DETROIT Standing by his locker in the Red Wings' dressing room late Monday afternoon, goaltender Curtis Joseph faced a barrage of inquiries and deflected them with seasoned ease. Joseph will start Tuesday night against the Nashville Predators when the Wings resume their schedule after the All-Star break. It will be his first game since he gave up three goals Jan. 25 at Calgary, which dropped him to 3-6 with a 3.12 goals-against average in January. The Wings finished the month 5-7-1-1. Asked how he thought he played the past month, Joseph said, "Some good games, and some games where we didn't win. Could have been better." Joseph, 35, was benched for the two games before the break. He revealed this about the conversation he had on the matter with coach Dave Lewis: "I talked to him. He's very open for communication. I talked to him, and that's great. There should be an open line of communication, and that's what it was. It's perfect." Before the break, Lewis said he hadn't decided if Joseph would play tonight, but the decision was made by Friday morning.
