Currently, I am involved in two major research projects. The first is an anthology of French and Francophone Women Writers that I am co-editing. Our anthology, which is still in search of a publisher, is called . I am also working on a book tentatively titled Belle Epoque Barbarians: Writing Women Writing in Turn of the Century France (1880-1930). I will be on leave during Spring semester 2001 to work full time on this book which examines how turn-of-the-century women writers created or recreated themselves as femmes de lettres. When I am not teaching or researching, I can often be found in the kitchen (I enjoy cooking), in the aerobics studio of my club, or taking walks in the woods with my family. I live in Shaker Heights with my husband Chris, and our two adorable children, Maxfield (8 years old) and Annalise (4 years old).

anticipated RodriguezÂ’s results because the subject of her biography is thescandalous American writer, salonist, and heiress natalie clifford barney.
    http://www.personalityzone.com/pz200209_barney.html
Wild Heart: A Temperament Brainstorming at AdvisorTeam recently, we hit on a novel idea: why not ask a biographer to take the Temperament Sorter, not as herself, but as her most recent subject? I approached Suzanne Rodriguez, author of the soon-to-be-released biography Wild Heart: A Life (HarperCollins/Ecco Press, October 2002), to participate in our experiment. Everyone at AdvisorTeam eagerly anticipated RodriguezÂ’s results because the subject of her biography is the scandalous American writer, salonist, and heiress Natalie Clifford Barney. Barney was born in 1876 and lived most of her life in Paris. There, for nearly 60 years, she ran the most influential literary salon of the 20th century. Nearly every great literary figure of the time and many other celebrities passed through the doors of her Left Bank home. Visitors included Colette, Scott and Zelda Fitzgerald, Ernest Hemingway, T. S. Eliot, Anatole France, Ezra Pound, Truman Capote, Mata Hari, and Greta Garbo.
Natalie Barney Natalie Barney was far ahead of her time in the politics of personal freedom; she never made a secret of her love for women. Consequently, Barney starred in major scandals from Victorian times onward. Perhaps her most famous exploit took place in 1899 in Paris, when she seduced Liane de Pougy, the foremost courtesan of the Belle Époque. Their affair blazed brightly in the face of society and was later transformed by Liane de Pougy into a best-selling 1901
