" John Berryman, M.D. sculpture sculpture differs substantially from traditional liposuction in a number of ways that are explained in detail through out this web site. Dr. Berryman's extensive training for performing lipo sculpture included several training seminars, and two international courses where he was the guest surgeon for facial cosmetic surgery. He has performed over 500 procedures directly with, or under the supervision of, expert cosmetic and plastic surgeons, and is certified by the American College of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery to perform UAL. Dr. Berryman is a member in good standing of the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery as well as the American Society of Liposuction Surgery. In addition, he has been certified by the George Washington University for office sedation, an important credential that allows procedures to be performed within the confines of his own surgical suite rather than a hospital operating room. This allows for increased privacy and lower prices: there is no public hospital record of the surgery, and no expensive hospital operating room and anesthesia charge. Lipo

65. Dream Song #29 (John Berryman)
29 There sat down, once, a thing on Henry's heart so heavy, if he had a hundred years more, weeping, sleepless, in all them time Henry could not make good.
http://www.drizzle.com/~ash/nkang/poetry/berryman.html
There sat down, once, a thing on Henry's heart
so heavy, if he had a hundred years
Henry could not make good.
Starts again always in Henry's ears
the little cough somewhere, an odour, a chime.
And there is another thing he has in mind
like a grave Sienese face a thousand years
would fail to blur the still profiled reproach of. Ghastly,
with open eyes, he attends, blind.
All the bells say: too late. This is not for tears;
thinking. But never did Henry, as he thought he did, end anyone and hacks her body up and hide the pieces, where they may be found. Often he reckons, in the dawn, them up. Nobody is ever missing. back to poetry page

with chicken paprika, she glanced at me
twice.
Fainting with interest, I hungered back
kept me from springing on her or falling at her little feet and crying
"You are the hottest one for years of night
Henry's dazed eyes
have enjoyed, Brilliance." I advanced upon
(despairing) my spumoni. Sir Bones: is stuffed,
de world, wif feeding girls.
Black hair, complexion Latin, jewelled eyes
downcast . . . The slob beside her feasts . . . What wonders is she sitting on, over there? The restaurant buzzes. She might as well be on Mars. Where did it all go wrong? There ought to be a law against Henry. Mr. Bones: there is.

Dream Song 14
Life, friends, is boring. We must not say so.
After all, the sky flashes, the great sea yearns,
we ourselves flash and yearn,
and moreover my mother told me as a boy
(repeatingly) "Ever to confess you're bored
means you have no Inner Resources." I conclude now I have no
inner resources, because I am heavy bored.
Peoples bore me,
literature bores me, especially great literature,
as bad as Achilles, who loves people and valiant art, which bores me.
and somehow a dog into the mountains or sea or sky, leaving behind: me, wag.

John Berryman reading poems, possibly from The Dream Songs , December, 1967. Although unidentified, Berryman indicates that some of the poems were published in The Noble Savage . The tape appears to have been recorded upon several times, and as a result some of the recordings appear to be interrupted and incomplete. Some of the incomplete recordings on this tape can be found on tape #4 in their complete form. #3. John Berryman reading poems, possibly from The Dream Songs , July 1962. A few minutes of the tape may be difficult to listen to as they contain two different recordings of Berryman superimposed. The tape also includes Berryman reading the poem "Meeting and Passing" by Robert Frost. #4. John Berryman reading from The Dream Songs , November 1967. #5. John Berryman discussing with Ellen Siegelman his travels in India, especially Calcutta. The tape also contains Berryman reading what he calls "a brilliant song that [I] once wrote." Recorded at a fast speed, Berryman's voice sounds unusually high on this tape.

Famous Berrymans John Berryman John Berryman was born in Dudley, Worcestershire, on 18 July 1825, and died on 27 June 1896, at Woldingham, Surrey, where he is buried in St Agatha's Churchyard. At the age of 29, he was serving as a Troop Sergeant-Major in the17th Lancers (Duke of Cambridge's Own) during the Crimean War. On 25 October 1854, at Balaclava, during the Charge of the Light Brigade, after his horse had been shot under him, he stopped on the field with a wounded officer, amidst a storm of shot and shell. Two sergeants, J Farrell and J Malone, went to help him, and between them they carried the wounded officer out of range of the guns. John Berryman retired from the army with the rank of Major, having been awarded the Victoria Cross for his valour during the Charge of the Light Brigade.
He was awarded the medal at the first investiture of the Victoria Cross by Queen Victoria held in Hyde Park, London, on Friday, 26th June 1857, along with 61 other Crimean War veterans

The property comprised in the above Manor it has been customary to Lease for three Lives at an Annual Small or Conventionary Rent, and on the dropping of the fist Life there has been a renewal to the Lessee on application to the Lord (the Freeholder) on the payment of a fine to put in a new Life. But if two Lives drop, then it has been customary for the Lord (the Freeholder) to hold the Property until the third Life drops, when it has been usual to again lease out the Property to the highest bidder or person offering the highest sum at Auction, at the old small Conventionary Rent for three Lives, the Purchaser nominating the Lives. These Leases contain covenants binding the Lessee to Repair and, under special circumstances, to Rebuild. The Heriots paid on the dropping of a life are fixed in advance (generally two years Conventionary Rent). The Fine paid to put in a fresh Life is decided by the Lord and if no consent is obtained then no renewal takes place.
