Green Bank Cemetery
This is the newest addition to these pages, and was made possible through the combined efforts of several other dedicated genealogists. I am indebted to Tom and Jerilyn, Carolyn, her husband and kids who all helped with the task of transcribing this cemetery...if you live in Jersey and were outside on May 6th, you know how hot it was! We all met down at Batsto and traveled up the road to Green Bank to share research and get this cemetery done for all to utilize...despite the heat, a good time was enjoyed by all and I look forward to our next collaborative effort on the history of this wonderful part of the state. Now without further ado, here is the complete listing of the burials at Green Bank Cemetery (including the one who was buried on the day we were there... can't get much more current than that, thanks to Carolyn!) Surname Given Name Birth Death Notes Allaire Frank 3 May 1894 31 May 1975 same plot w/ Robert Prasch, Anna Sooy Crane, Edwin C. Sooy et al Anderson Sarita buried on May 6th, 2000. William H. Miller - District 9 email: wmiller Map of Legislative District 09 William H. Miller's (R) legislative district is the largest of all nineteen districts throughout Broome County. It spans the Towns of Colesville and Sanford, and the eastern half of the Town of Windsor. Mr. Miller is known for his fiscal conservatism, and has strived to control government spending and reduce taxes. Property taxes have been reduced or held flat in seven of the eight county budgets Legislator Miller has worked on. During Legislator Miller's service as a member and Chairman of the Public Works Committee, there have been numerous facility and structural accomplishments throughout Broome County, such as the construction of the Family Courts Building in the City of Binghamton, and the renovation of the Binghamton Regional Airport in the Town of Maine. Mr. Miller's legislative work and achievements also include securing funding approval for construction of the Hale Eddy Bridge in Sanford, seeking rehabilitation of the Old Route 17 Bridge in Damascus, and guiding legislative support for improvements to Sanitaria Springs Road in Colesville and Second Street in Deposit.

Today is different
she's all dressed up in styles decades old
too elegant to be a threat. Her serene manner emits dignity and graceful style a bearing approaching royalty when she smiles I melt and return it Greeting me in a voice of tinkling chimes telling me it's a fine day my rusty baritone replies, It is a fine day a beautiful and remarkable day a day I will remember as long as there are ladies endowed with class and quality. Hugging is proper, more between us not clear.
Recent widow, she grieves, suppressing emotion,
Caretaker in long illness filling final needs,
forgetting the joy of togetherness.
How to solve our insufficiency,
how to pursue it and find love again, Engaging in small talk, exchanging smiles, encourages invitation to walk her home, floating over cloud-covered sidewalk. In questions and warm responses, mirth rises to laughter and giggles, Too soon at her door, eyes pleading it continue, my bid for dinner ingratiatingly accepted. Dressing up and good food hurries bonding and fulfillment of unappeased passions, merging two lives with second loves. Cast a favorite vote for this article and view vote results. Descent Chart
    EARLIEST GENERATION
    1. GEORGE (I) likely GOWARD
This GEORGE (I) GOWARD was identified as Sen'r in the parish records of Barnham Broome in Norfolk, but no information on his occupation or status appeared (Film no.1526810 item 13). The earliest four GOWARD generations are labelled "likely" only because I could not confirm the birth of our FRANCIS GOWARD in this line.
    1. spouse. ISABEL UNKNOWN [GOWARD]
ISABEL GOWARD was identified as wife of GEORGE GOWARD Senior at her burial notice on 20 March 1743. Their funerals occurred only five days apart in Barnham Broome, that of GEORGE (I) GOWARD on 25 March (Film 1526810). Another funeral held eighteen days earlier was for an unidentified Elizabeth GOWARD, who may have been an adult daughter of GEORGE (I) and ISABEL, or an infant daughter of GEORGE (II) and wife MARTHA.
2ND EARLIEST GENERATION child of GEORGE I GOWARD
    2. GEORGE (II) likely GOWARD
GEORGE (II) was probably the George Goward who was buried "aged 82 years" on 5 March 1797, so his birthdate was about 1715 (Film no.1526810). He had a large family of seven christened children, and I also attributed to him GEORGE (III), who by his name and the date of his own first known child (1765) would seem to be the first-born son of GEORGE (II) (Film no.1526810).
