The Broome-Tioga Workforce Development System, a unique partnership between Tioga and Broome Counties and the regional business community is focused on helping businesses recruit and retain talented workers, assessing and responding to current and future workforce needs, and helping individuals obtain rewarding career opportunities. The system could not function without committed partners including the Binghamton Housing Authority, Binghamton University, Broome-Tioga BOCES, Broome Community College, Broome County Office for Aging, Broome Employment Center, Broome County Department of Social Services, Green Thumb, Inc., New York State Department of Labor, Opportunities for Broome, Tioga County Department of Social Services, Tioga Employment Center, Tioga Opportunities Program, Inc., and VESID. The system is overseen by a Board of more than 40 public, private and non-profit members from the Broome-Tioga region. Members of the Board are appointed by Broome County Executive Jeffrey Kraham, the Broome County Legislature chaired by Daniel Schofield, and the Tioga County Legislature chaired by Peter Ward. Board meetings are held every other month and are open to the public. The following individuals are members of the Broome-Tioga Workforce Development Board:
