All items are first editions, unless otherwise noted. Click here for a limited edition of Dagion's Trucker True revelations and strange happenings from 18 wheeler, Vol. 2. D'Allesandro, Sam (1956-1988). The Zombie Pit Freedom, CA, Crossing Press, 1989. Uncorrected galley proofs, fine in fine aqua colored paper wraps, 124 pages. Photo of Sam laid in. $45 D' Arcangelo, Angelo. The Homosexual Handbook . New York, Travelers Companion, 1968. First edition, first printing. Fine in fine paper wraps with very minor scuffing, 276 pages. Reprinted in 1969 and 1971 (London), this was the first book to attempt an over view of practical homosexual lore and folkways, including book reviews, a bibliography of famous Gays (including J. Edgar Hoover), and advice letters about sex-all addressed to Uncle Fudge. Nicely done with not too heavy of a hand. Only 2 OCLC holdings, Michigan State and Cornell. $125 David, Villers. Love In London. London, Duckworth, 1954. Fine in red cloth covered boards. Fine dust jacket designed by David with a bit of barely noticeable spotting. The story revolves (actually spins out of control) around a Latin American Ambassador Senor Calderony y Carrambas and his lovely wife and daughter. Both the broads have the hots for their handsome, young, tall, and blond British body guard Tom English. Unfortunately the Carrambas's interior decorator, Tristan, also has the hots for Tom. In the end, Tristan almost gets Tom and Senora Carramba gets Tristan by blackmailing him and refusing to pay her enormous redecoration tab. All in all a rather sticky wicket. Interestingly, this work is not mentioned in either Young or Summers. There are only 3 OCLC holdings in America, all of the 1959 American Coward McCann edition. $225

    Thomas Pasatieri
Thomas Pasatieri first received national acclaim in his early twenties. His operas and hundreds of songs have been performed by such prominent artists as Janet Baker, Elizabeth Söderström, Frederica von Stade, Shirley Verrett, Catherine Malfitano, Evelyn Lear, Thomas Stewart, and the late Jennie Tourel. Born in New York City, Pasatieri had a Juilliard scholarship in composition at the age of 16, studying with Vittorio Giannini and Vincent Persichetti. He received the first doctorate ever given by Juilliard. He also studied with Darius Milhaud at Aspen where, at 19, his chamber opera, The Women , won the Aspen Festival Prize. Other honors include the Richard Rodgers Scholarship, the Marion Freschl Prize, the Irving Berlin Fellowship, and an Emmy Award. The Goose Girl , a 35-minute opera for young audiences (for which he wrote his own libretto). For five years Pasatieri was the Artistic Director of the Atlanta Opera. At present he divides his time between composing, conducting and the presidency of his film production company, Topaz Productions.
